  1. When open an image with an Adjustment layer (Selective Color) which was edited in PS, the colors - especially yellow - looks odd. Unchecking the "Relative" box does not change a thing. I'm able to get a similar effect result with the same layer when I switch from "Relative" to "Absolute" for yellow in PS, see attachment. Upper left PS as it should be, lower left PS with "Absolut" checked and to the right how it appears in Affinity Photo, regardless if "Relatvie" is checked or not.
  2. Hello guys! An interesting and welcome addition to Affinity Photo would be something like a ‘split view for comparison’. A way to compare and edit versions (or Snapshots) of an image without having to duplicate it and use Separated Mode or toggle between tabs. An example would be when I apply the ‘Curves’ and ‘Soft Proof’ adjustment layer to an image to prepare it for print. I would like to have one window where I can see the original and another window right next to it, preferably optionally mirrored, with the adjustment layers active to edit and compare it to the original image (or Snapshot or state when I entered this split view mode). I think the basic elements for this feature are already available in Photo (i.e. Snapshot) and it comes down to the ability to arrange (and mirror or split) your windows/views. The ability to arrange windows (tabs) next to each other without having to enter Separated Mode would be a valuable addition and to a large extent fulfill this feature request. What do you think?
  3. AP Win: Could it be possible to have possibility to customise Adjustments in "Studio - Adjustment" so, that we could make our mostly used adjustments on the top? Eg. I do surely use Curves, Vibrance, Shadows/H, etc. more then those on the top  Just make them floating :) Thanks
  4. As some users in the beta forum said before, the Gamma Slider in the Levels Adjustment ist not working in this version.
  5. Sorry can someone tell me how to add an adjustment layer directly to my selected layer without having to drag it back down to it manually? Thanks and sorry for such a basic question.
  6. If i create a group with a bunch of adjustment layers in it, each one masked with a curve layer itself and then just add a curve layer to that group, all adjustment layers become invisible (in the picture). Is that an intended behavior?
  7. when I'm Working on an adjustment or a layer-filter, I like to compare the actual adjustment I made with the status before without this adjustment(-layer),layer-filter. I don't want to switch from the Adjustment-/Filter-setting-dialog-window to the adjustment-layer for toggling the layer on and off. I think it's smarter just to click on a "BYPASS"-button to compare. best regards and thanx a lot for the tutorials, you're doing a great job :-)) yancire
  8. When the Levels adjustment's Gamma parameter is set to maximum (2), extremely incorrect and undesirable results occur. Refer to attached images.
  9. The new beta seems really stable. Loving it! I find, frustratingly, that sometimes the hardest things to figure out in Affinity are the simplest ones. Which leaves me asking very elementary questions that I feel I should be able to solve for myself. Embarrassing. So anyway here goes. 1) How do I apply an adjustment (Levels in this case) to a mask layer so as to adjust only the mask layer and not the pixel layer to which is attached? I have tried every level of nesting and grouping I can think of, and have searched everywhere seemingly relevant in Help, but cannot achieve this simple thing. It's very frustrating ....... 2) Can I suppress bounding boxes and view (for example the fine adjustment of a layer FX) without the visual distraction of the bounding box. On very small objects this would be really helpful. 3) And, on the subject of layer FX, can I convert layer FX to layers? This is a great application. One day I'll get there ............. ;)
  10. All the adjustment layers have cool and colourful icons to help you easily read which adjustment you would like to make, and what it does... Yet when you apply this adjustment layer to the image, you get the same, boring white box, every time. Worsely (!), you don't know what they are or what they do!.... ...and you have to open the group up and read the WORDS to see what adjustments you have.... Is there a really, really good reason that we can't have these pretty, colourful icons also displayed in the layers palette? I think it would be nice, and helpful, and, ultimately, less annoying, which is related to helpful, but the direct opposite of it. Thanks for listening. Wayne
  11. Using Affinity Photo on my Mac Pro and my Macbook I would love to transfer my custom Adjustment Presets from one to the other. Where are they stored? Any advice how to to that?
  12. Can we get such a precise and diverse color manipulation option in the RAW Developing too? (And maybe in the pixel persona too)
  13. I cannot imagine that this hasn't been discussed before, but a simple search of this forum didn't reveal a similar topic, hence my feature request post today. When I display the Adjustment tab and then click once on anything (Recolor, B&W, Posterise, etc.), that adjustment appears automatically in the Layers tab. But most of the time, I just want to click once and take a look at what the default 3 choices are. Maybe I don't even want to see that adjustment at all. So the way things are now, I have all these adjustment layers stacking up even though I didn't want to apply any of them. Some people may like the existing functionality, so perhaps adding a Preference would be best. Allow me to DISABLE the automatic application of the adjustments when I merely click on their name in the Adjustments tab 1 time. Create the adjustment layer only when I then click on one of the 3 options (e.g., Default or Cold or Warm, for "Black & White") or when I move one of the sliders in that particular adjustment's dialog. All said, I really don't like it when I just click once on an adjustment and then it becomes a new layer. Thanks.
  14. Dear (epic) people at Affinity, I have a feature request regarding consistency, example: when using the "transform" tab, you can easily adjust sizes by hovering over the options and scrolling up/down — could you implement this in the text tool as well? Possibly in every dropdown option that entails numeric options. Thank you. Kind regards, Jo
  15. Any way of adding a Preview toggle on/off for adjustment layers? S
