  1. I am a retired designer getting into the Affinity 2 Apps after a lifetime of working with Adobe's Apps. I got the licences for all 3 Apps for all platforms (I have all 3 + Linux) Apple, Windows and iOS. Given my varying qualities of displays and that I do not want to go to the considerable expense of screen testing hardware, nor to paint and light a workspace just for this, does anyone have any thoughts on using an on-screen colour strip to help adjust my eyes and use as a reference whilst working on colour images in the Affinity Apps? I was even thinking of creating a custom neutral grey desktop with an accurate colour strip and sample image.
  2. I’m quoting @ChristiduToit from another post, but as mentioned @fde101 rather make a new topic for each feature request. External Floating View Windows, like Photoshop. Being able to save a second view of your artboard is already available in Affinity, but you're not able to remove it from the app window. It's great to have the second, zoomed out, view on a second monitor so that you can see how your artwork and design is looking in full while you're working on it in another window. Especially useful with Sidecar/Astropad so that you can use brushes/etc on the canvas with the iPad , but still have your main monitor as reference containing all your tools without rearranging them as in Separated mode.
  3. Hello, Today is my first day with Affinity Photo trial version (trying to get away from Adobe). I searched unsuccessfully for info about using Affinity on 2 monitors. With Photoshop, I always kept the image on one screen and the tools, panels, etc. on the other. I use a Mac computer, but have 2 - 19" monitors, so I like to keep the image as large as possible on one screen and all the other stuff (tools, panels, etc.)on the other screen. Can anyone tell me if this is possible, and, if so, how to set it up? It will be much appreciated by this newbie. By the way, so far I think I will like Affinity much better than Adobe PS.
  4. Since this in beta, I'm ok to reset the program from time-to-time and start fresh test-files, so that my reported errors are clear and real. But, as I thought I would beg you much later for this feature, now would be a great time to be able to save and restore my palettes! My use-case involves working on a dual-monitor-setup in my main office but sometimes I use the MacBook alone and want to minimise all my palettes, or minimise the amount of open palettes, IN ONE CLICK. Another use would be for different work-stages: For example, I'm building a raw layout/wireframe and only need the pages and frames-tools, another time I'm working on typography and want to immerse myself in text styles, glyphs, character styles - maximise everything type!. Lastly I would make a "workspace" for final-work/proofing/exporting, like sort-of exists already in Designer (the Export-Persona) .. edit: AND THERE would be a great place to factory-predefine a "Presentation-Persona", as requested by many (and me) -> hide ui + fullscreen + hide edges and special characters + smooth page transitions all with ONE click or keypress!
  5. Currently the only way to change the appearance and size of the tools tool bar is to change the number of columns which restricts you on size of the overall tool bar. As many will set up their own individual workspace, especially when working in Separated Mode, the freedom to be able to grab and manually adjust the size of the tool bar would be useful, with the icons on the toolbar dynamically changing position to fit the tool bar. If the tool bar was too small for all the icons, then a fly out can appear containing the rest. As this would be done through user choice, I don't see it going against the surface level UI ethos of the program as it wouldn't be a default setting.
