  1. Hello everyone! I've got another feature request: Could you enhance "Set Fill to Black and White"'s (in Preferences -> Keyboard shortcuts -> Miscellaneous) functionality? Right now, it just sets the colors to black and white. If I remember correctly, in Photoshop, it also automatically sets the currently selected color to the default one, which is black. This can be very useful, especially when all the UI is hidden. Because then you always know what color will be selected when you press the shortcut for "Set Fill to Black and White". So if you need white, you can just click D (my shortcut for "Set Fill to Black and White"), then X. Best wishes, Shu
  2. Am new to Affinity Designer. My white color doesn't come through as white, comes through as a cream / off-white color. Running on Windows. Using AMD Radeon R9 390 graphics card. Doesn't do this with other software applications. How do I fix?
  3. Hi All, I've had Affinity Photo for about a week so far, andI am getting to grips with it slowly. Although I amalready convinced that the panorama functions are the best I have seen, (Moving over from PT Gui). It will take me a while to learn everything, but I am already convinced it beats my previous tool, Photoshop Elements. But there is one feature I am missing, and I can't find it - is it possible to set the white balance by clicking on a point which should be neutral grey? Thanks, Nick
  4. I'm feeling embarrassed with the white color in Affinity Photo, and I know it's not my computer or monitor problem. Because, I saw Affinity Photo itself created this problem. Check screenshot, below. I also have Photoshop CC, but that's fine. So, could anyone say something about this issue, Please?
  5. Hello! I've just started using Affinity Photo on windows, and it's look promising although i can't figure out one thing. Is it possible to add other channels to work with? I'm mostly using PS to prepare files for DTG printer, where I need to create channel that represents white ink. In AP eg. when working with CMYK, there are only Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black channels, and I can't add my own (or i don't know how). Anyont can help me? Thanks :)
  6. Hi, This is the feature I miss: B&W mode. This file format is very convenient in preparation for printing. Could that be possible? Thanks! Ps: By the way, I really like this program and Im very happy that finally I have it for PC.
  7. Since you don't offer a normal support and I don't have much time, I will try to get a response here. I have made a file with some objects on a transparent background and I export it as an eps-file for export, but when I open it, it opens with a white background. What is this and how do I avoid it? I hope someone can give me a response asap and I also hope you can offer some normal tech support some day. And when I open the exported file in AD it is rasterized and not a vector-file. I am sorry, but this is really a disappointment then. Perhaps it is me who don't understand vector and only thought I did, since AD was so easy and intuitive to use, but it was probably just and illusion. The design should be simple. I use a logo I have made earlier which is also a vector-file, add a line to it, which I thought would be vector - and then some numbers and letters which definitely should be vector. No effects or gradients or anything. Now I tried to export setting rasterizing to Nothing and that created a file worse than anything. The nice line around turned into a thick line and the whole image was turned into a chaotic jumble with white squares all over. So, if this is not a bug, it seems like it isn't as easy as it seemed to be to create vector-stuff in AD at all. And what to do with this now? I add the actual file, but when I export it I deselect the blue background. OK, so now I took out the encircling line and drew it again, as it seems like it had been converted into a rasterised layer and the same thing with one of the logo-files embedded, which is an eps-file, probably because I used the eraser on it. Now I opened the original eps-file and modified it and exported it as a new eps-file and imported it to the design again. Now it became more transparent, but with white squares behind the two logo-layers - which, again, are eps-files but obviously are being converted into rasterised files by AD. How do I avoid that? I thought vector stayed vector. And if I allow rasterizing it all turn out with a white background. Why? The two files added are vector-files (eps) and the line should be vector as far as I understand, and so are the numbers and letters. So why doesn't it export as a transparent vector? And where is support when you need it? GGklistrmerke.afdesign
  8. Would be nice to have more control over the "Erase White Paper" magic command. Perhaps a dialog that allows me to eyedropper the background "paper" color, similar to how "Select Sampled Colour" works, but with the magic :)
  9. I'm trying to turn a colour photograph (It's of the Forth Rail Bridge in Scotland) into a Black & White one however… having done that, I want to bring back some of the red parts of the bridge. I would also like to do this 'Dash of Red' in other photographs too perhaps even some where there wasn't any red in the original colour photograph. Is this possible and what is the best way to proceed? - Much'O Thanks for any help given. ~
  10. Hi, Could i request a shortcut to be added to reset the color swatch back to Black & White like it is in PS. The shortcut for that is D. If we have one already can you please let me know what it is? :) Thanks!
  11. If I open a scanned image in Photoshop, it opens as a single "Background" layer. And whenever you use the Eraser tool on such a "Background" layer, it Erases to White because White is the default chosen background color. Of course, if I click the little Lock icon to unlock the Background layer in Photoshop, it changes to "Layer 0" and any use of the Eraser tool in that case will erase to transparent. In Affinity Designer, everything erases to transparent from what I see, even the Background layer. In Affinity, how do I ERASE TO WHITE? Thanks.
