  1. Simple composite of a vintage car on a sunset beach. Using imported brushes to enhance headlights. Reflections on windshield, selection from sky, warp tool to stretch over glass, blend modes and opacity reduction, large soft edge brush with mask to blend edges around wind shield.
  2. A new car in your garage! Pure vector work with affinity designer. http://b-bertuleit.de/fiat-500-vintage-57/
  3. Goof'n around with some old Dover clipart books. I sketched up a couple of designs scanned them and had my first major sash of vector surgery on AD. Its been on my computer for a little under a year and I figured I'd just jump into it and go for the gusto as I'm over Illustrator. The minimal reality of Affinity Designer is really nice. I must say, I'm pretty stoked on the results, can't wait to get a gnarlier sketch going. (())
  4. I wanted to try giving a recent photo a vintage look. I had watched a photoshop tutorial at phlearn.com: phlearn.com/create-vintage-photo-photoshop (you can download the distressed papers from that tutorial). I wanted to try to do something similar with Affinity photo. I thought I would share my process for others: A quick note: —I should have mentioned that all my adjustments are below the gradient map so that the map colors all the adjustments (border, spots & textures, etc). —at about 5:50 in the video I select an irregular brush: you find those irregular brushes by choosing the "Texture" option from the drop-down menu in the brushes palette. Thanks for watching.
  5. 1930's Plymouth....not sure of exact year, if anyone knows, i'd appreciate it....still enjoying / learning Affinity Designer...nice change from Photographic work
In this Affinity Photo Tutorial, I show you how to create the "sepia filter". This filter is not included so far. I'm authorized author at www.affinitytutorials.de. Create an atmospheric vintage look. Have fun. Jack Farbcode/Colorcode: #894504 https://youtu.be/qEsJVjh-Rbc https://youtu.be/qEsJVjh-Rbc https://youtu.be/qEsJVjh-Rbc
  7. Hello everybody, I've created this double bill poster of Laurel & Hardy. This year marks the 125 years anniversary of Stan Laurel's birthday. These two movies are coming to the big screen in England, Scotland and Ireland. Using my sketch as a guide I created this poster completely in AD. This is my first larger artwork in AD. The first release of AD was a bit too unstable to me, but much has improved since the update. So, I'm very pleased working with this piece of software.
