  1. Here's a vector portrait (of my good friend Helene). No pixels, pure vector, created with Affinity Designer. I'm looking forward to a feedback, thank you very much :) http://b-bertuleit.de/helene-2/
  2. Created this Mascot logo with Affinity Designer, I recently started using AD and i am new to Vector Designing. Any good sites where i can sell this type of logos ? Thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G32g1Ywo9vg
  3. Dear Affinity team, it is part of my workflow to import vector graphics from the statistics program Graphpad Prism into Affinity designer. When I copy a given plot in Prism and paste it in Affinity the vector nature is preserved. However, I found that the size of the graph's components changed, e.g. a 0.5 pt line would end up being a 0.7 pt line and so forth. I found that when I set the document's dpi to 104 the dimensions seem to be preserved, but since I also work with raster images from other sources within the same document I don't want to switch back and forth changing the dpi for the document all the time. Am I missing an obvious solution so AD would paste vector graphics at a given size regardless of the document's dpi settings? Thanks for your help, -hubob
  4. An exercise in vector illustration using AP instead of AD. A spoof children's book cover illustration. In this case, I drew out the sketch on screen as well, using the brush tool. Usually I'd start with a pencil and paper.
  5. As an exercise, I knocked up this illustration. I'm thinking of migrating to a simpler, more easily achievable style of illustration. Up to now, I've been painting everything in acrylics and then digitising the results. I've found AD every bit as good as Illustrator so far. This took me all morning, so I hope to get faster eventually. All the best, Kevin
  6. My first vector work and my first time using Affinity Designer, some 1980's and 1990's computers for a project I'm working on.
  7. Wireframe model (Fiat 500) of the vector graphics. Hey, do you like it? :) http://b-bertuleit.de/portfolio/vector/fiat-500-vintage-57/ New Link: http://b-bertuleit.de/fiat-500-vintage-57/
  8. All vector done in Aff Designer. Lots of gradients - some soft vectors for highlights. One thing thats nice is the copy and paste ( command shift v) of an all ready created gradient into a new shape - you don't have to save it as a swatch - just paste into your new shape and adjust. Real time saver.
  9. Here comes Cate (the cat), vector (Affinity Designer) :) http://b-bertuleit.de/cate-the-cat/
  10. I am having lots of fun with the beta version. I draw a lot and would love to be able to slide the smoothing amount of the pencil or brush tool before I draw. My aim is to create clean lines without the need to go and edit multiple nodes after. AutoDesk Graphic for ipad does this wonderfully. Just an idea. Thanks for the great product.
  11. As a bloody ADesigner starter I wanted to scale my vector-logo by simply holding the cmd-key. But this made the lines thicker when I reduced the size or made them very thin, when I wanted to make the logo bigger. How can I scale my vector lines proportional (excuse my english  )???
  12. Hi, I have been browsing the forums for about two hours now attempting to solve the low quality export of vectors (with transparency) I'm experiencing. I adjusted to bicubic and lanczos in the export window, I've tried resizing the vector. Attached below are rasterized transparent png and gifs, plus a pdf of the original vector, exactly how AD exported them. On a side note, I'm not exactly sure why this is so difficult to accomplish: to create a smooth realized export of a vector image for the web. Super easy and intuitive in very old versions of adobe illustrator (back in 2004). What am I missing/not understanding?? GIF PNG PDF clipart.pdf

  16. Hi Folks, Been a while since I've been on here! Anyway I'm after help yet again. So I'm putting together a logo design for a friend and the design is a full circle with a smaller circle within the outer. However, the inner circle needs to be broken at the bottom... I have attached a couple of rough sketch's that I have done so that you get the idea what I am talking about. Basically what is the best way to create the break in the inner circle? Confused? you will be   Cheers in advance, because I know you lot will know the answer ;) Mark Logo sketch.pdf
  17. Hey guys, I need to send this logo to a company for some marketing materials, but he tells me it's not vectorized in his programs, even though i can save it in any size in affinity without losing quality of the image. Could someone tell me what to do or send me a proper version? I'm really not into design stuff, so it would be really great if I'd get an easy answer, haha. Thank you guys in advance! Regards Andi Logo_Var_3.afdesign
  18. Hello everyone, i just can't manage to export my graphic to a file that works as a vector graphic in the adobe applications. Can anyone tell me how to do that? Regards Andreas
  19. Hi guys, I am a mechanical engineer specialist in gear design, and until recently never used any graphic design or image processing software. But since I started my own company and changed my career, I did a lot of research and decided to go with Affinity. It obviously is a very steep learning curve for me, but for the most part I am making progress, even though I have a long way to go. I decided to sign up for this forum, since sometimes I just can't find what I am looking for. So here is my first post, apologies for using the wrong terms, description etc. Problem: I need to send a company who makes our shipping boxes our logo. I have the logo as a vector graphic and in color. I like to convert it to grey scale/bw. So I added an black & white adjustment. I noticed that this resulted in the logo being rasterized during export. I read in one of the forums on here that adjustments should not have this impact as long as I choose "Postscript Level 3" during export, which I did. But for some reason this does not work for me. Hopefully someone can help me and point me in the right direction. Thanks for the support and help! Oliver HappyGrun_Color.afdesign HappyGrun_Final_ShortForm.eps HappyGrun_BW.eps
  20. Hello guys, my apology if this is a silly question but: does Affinity Photo export vector graphics? I need to create some fancy text with some very simple graphic design and I am wondering if there is any option of exporting it as a vector. And also, is there any option of making project (and export it) in CMYK? THANK YOU SO MUCH for any tip or advice. Paul
  21. Tribute to Audrey Hepburn, Vector (Affinity Designer) http://b-bertuleit.de/butterfly-wing/
  22. Hi! I was playing with Figma and jumped back to Designer to compare the two. A really good feature that Designer is missing is the ability to snap vector point handles.
  23. Some new car designs/presentations, based of my Fiat 500 Vector. Thank you for watching :) http://b-bertuleit.de/car-design/
