  1. Hey, I just switched over from Photoshop & Illustrator and its really frustrating for me to see that zooming is "CMD + Mousewheel" while rotating is "Alt + Mousewheel". Coming from the Adobe Products (where the two shortcuts are flipped), I was wondering if it is possible to change these shortcuts anywhere. I already searched through the shortcuts menu in the setting but I didnt find anything there, a quick google search didnt help me either. If anyone knows something, please let me know. Thanks :) (Win 10, ver. 1.9.1)
  2. As many design tools(Sketch, Figma, Framer...etc) use ⌘ + mouse wheel to zoom in/out, Affinity Serif uses ⌥+mouse wheel that is pretty special. I understand it's a hard-corded modifier but still want to suggest to change the function to fit design experience. While I change different tools, I always mess up the function. I know "use mouse wheel to zoom" is an alternative solution but it's not instinct for beginners. Please consider about this. 😃
  3. Affinity Photo version 1.9.2.1035 (Windows, from Affinity Store) Windows Version Windows 10 (Pro) version 20H2 Issue Forgive me if this bug already has been reported. As a new user coming from GIMP I wanted to bind the "Select Sampled Color" tool to "Shift+O". When using the shortcut, in a document with colored pixels, Affinity Photo just shuts down immediately. I tried changing the shortcut to other combinations as well, eg. "Shift+I", "Ctrl+Q" and "Ctrl+W", with the same result. I didn't try that many shortcut combinations, but I believe the bug affects enough keybinds to be relevant. If you have any further questions feel free to reply.
  4. It seems I can't assign the Affinity shortcut keystroke Control+Option on a Wacom Intuos Medium. It just won't let me do it. I can make basic keystroke shortcuts like Control + (anything). Is there a way to do this? I'd like to assign this keystroke to a single button on my Wacom.
  5. I am trying to add a shortcut for joining two curves in Designer as I use it frequently. But I am not able to find the the option for it. Could anyone help? Also is there any tool in Designer for selecting curves by attributes such as color, line weight etc? Thanks in advance.
  6. Hi, I have a problem with the zoom shortcut (ctrl + spacebar) sometimes it doesn't work , only works if I press first spacebar and wait to press ctrl (If I press the two keys at the same time, or ctrl first the zoom tool doesn't work) , There is a way to fix this? . Thanks
  7. I am trying to set a keyboard shortcut to set fill black and white. I enter the letter D as shown but It does not work It is not recalled when I reopen preferences (blank input area). (I tried Save to a file, but nothing) Shortcut X to swap colours works fine (for example) I am expecting the magenta/white currently selected in my screenshot to jump to black/white, but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong please? Windows 10, Affinity Photo 1.9.1
  8. It would be a must to be able to assing a keyboard shortcut to a macro, this avoids to open library (by means of Menu-View->Studio->Library ot a shortcut - I use Alt-L) every time a use a frequently used macro
  9. Assigning Select Sampled Color to a shortcut and attempting to use it causes a crash every time. Crash happened in last 1.8 version and persists in 1.9. Tested on 2 different computers: Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, Windows 10 Ryzen 7 3750H, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650, Windows 10
  10. I've been avoiding updating from 1.8.3 to 1.8.4 for some time due to this issue. Recently I went straight to 1.8.5 [latest version] to see if it would be fixed, but it wasn't. It's probably not even considered a bug, but I'd like to understand if this was an intended change. What's happening: I've always been able to resize my brushes using Alt + LClick + RClick [and drag] until version 1.8.3. From 1.8.4 on, this command only activates the Color Picker, which is also activated by Alt + LClick, so it's just redundant. If I want to resize my brushes in 1.8.4+, the command is Ctrl + Alt + LClick + RClick, and the weirdest thing is that the brush/cursor simply disappears after releasing the drag in the desired size, which didn't happen before. I don't know if this command change was intended, but I see no reason to have 4 buttons for such a shortcut. Also, considering the fact that it disappears after release, looks like something's wrong. Any thoughts on this, please? P.S: I know there are other ways to resize a brush like [ ], so save yourself some time before suggesting this. Thanks!
  11. As many contributors requested, I´m missing a very important shortcut: hitting ESC to release the texttool and have the movetool Its not only to move the box, its because I I must often select a few objects after typing, or to change colors of objects and so on. That is why it is a hindrance that the tool does not switch to the move-tool. Its very easy to locate the ESC-Button and hit it (twice). Its not so easy to search "v" and hit it without an acident. Its a most-requested feature, so please have a look at it (some examples, more in the forum). Thank you!
  12. Hi, First post for me. affinity photo for windows: I can't change the brush size and hardness with ctrl + alt + mouse drag... when i try it it shows me a sort of color picker.. any solution?
  13. Hi, I just started using Affinity Designer at work and I love it so far. One of the features that will really come in handy is to collapse all artboards with one shortcut key. I usually end up with several artboards in an Affinity Designer file and it gets pretty annoying to navigate through layers on top of layers. So please add this feature to the next rollout of the app. Thanks!
  14. I do not want to set two shortcuts for display or hide layer. One button , please. In addtion , I want two shortcuts for select next layer and previous layer.
  15. Hello, since I have updated my Affinity Suite (Designer, Photo and Publisher) to version 1.8.3 ALL default shortcuts don't work. NO CTRL+C, CTRL+V, CTRL+S .... nothing. Please assist as soon as possible. Working with Affinity Suite is currently no fun . Regards, Henning
  16. Hi, I'm using Publisher for few weeks only, but I'm constantly struggling with one feature. If I press [Space] + [Command] the Zoom tool (+) is temporarily used even if I'm using another tool. If I click the mouse it zooms in on the selected location. If I add [Alt] to the combination ([Space] + [Command] + [Alt]) the Zoom tool (-) appears. If I click the mouse it zooms out, but the document jumps some amount down. I was searching throughout the preferences, but did not find any related settings. If I choose the the Zoom tool directly from the tool bar, it behaves correctly both for plus and minus. Please let me know if you need any more information. Petr
  17. Hi, This is the first time I have tried this... Has anyone experienced the affshortcuts file from Affinity Photo not being recognized on a Mac. Can't seem to get it to load. When I save the default shortcut file it fails to be recognized. I have the apple store version 1.84 of Affinity Photo. Dan AffinityShortcutDan.affshortcuts
  18. The shortcut opt+delete doesn't do the magic of inpaint, but it erase as if it's only delete. I have to go to the menu bar > edit > inpaint to get the command to work. Other common shortcuts work fine ( command S, C, X, V, etc.) I am using iMac and Wacom Intuos Pen. Anyone has the same problem?
  19. Hey Everyone from Turkey, I wanna change Zoom In shortcut. My Zoom In shortcut is ctrl+oemplus. I tried to change it but i've no any idea which button is "oemplus". I wanna change it as "alt+oemplus" Please, can you help me for that?
  20. Hi, I recently bought affinity designer and I'm still learning the shortcuts. But something I really miss from using other editors is being able to duplicate the document you're editing onto a new one. I've looked on the forums for a way to do that but I've found nothing. Is there a way to duplicate the page you're editing onto a new document instead of opening a new document and copy;pasting the contents?
  21. Hi there, Would anybody else find it useful to have a key command to hide all vector outlines & nodes (& bounding boxes too) without deselecting the item, nor changing tools? It's easier to judge your final result without the distraction of the "back-room mechanics" on top of your stroke. I remember using that kind of Hide command back in Adobe days. Just pressing Spacebar for a momentary Hand tool _almost_ does the trick. But not if you're adjusting the item's stroke or brush or layer fx properties in a dialog – then Spacebar doesn't work. So you have to judge your adjustments with the nodes & outlines obscuring your edges (with Pen or Node tool selected, at least). And if you switch to a different tool that hides outlines & bounding box, then your pen or node tool parameter ribbon goes away. All these issues would be resolved with an additional View ->View Mode: Artwork/Result Only. Thanks in advance for considering it!
  22. I want to propose the possibility to assign a shortcut to the rotation feature of the Clone Stamp and the Healing Brush. So it's possible to map them on the rotation slider of a Wacom Pro Tablet. I propose also a change on the way that the rotation it's intended, because it's more useful that the rotation could have both negative and positive value. Rik
  23. Hi, i have problem whit brush-hardness shortcut (ctrl+options+ left mouse button) on my mac. When i push them cant change size and hardnes but move whole aplication. Thanks for any advice.
  24. Is it possible to set brush opacity + brush flow with an Affinity Photo action or with a keyboard shortcut? This enables a quicker workflow if one can just toggle between e.g. 20% opacity 20% flow and then go back to 100% opacity 100% flow without having to change it every time manually. Thank you for your advice how to do this or to take the time to add it to your feature request list. 😃
  25. The standard OSX keyboard shortcut to switch between windows in an application is ⌘> and ⌘<, respectively. In AD these shortcuts are reserved for text size increase/decrease and there is no way to change that, by the way (these “hooks” are missing in the preference panel, there is just Size > Precise Bigger/Smaller). I would like to use the standard keyboard shortcuts to switch between windows in separated mode, too. And perhaps this could be extended to tabs (in both modes), i. e. in the single window mode the shortcuts would switch between tabs and in separated mode it would switch between tabs in a single window until the last tab is active, and then it switches to the next window (or reverse in the reverse direction). How does that sound?
