  1. Please please Please could you add the following feature to Affinity Photo: -Targa/TGA Export. (i can open Targa files but cant export them as Targa) - Angle Snapping for 'polygonal' Free Hand Selection tool and for when rotating with the move tool. (Super useful for accurately aligning along a certain angle) These two are the most important feature for me and would happily ditch Photoshop for these features.
  2. I can imagine that these features have been requested a lot but a 3D system such as in photoshop would be awesome. I could need it really often and it would improve my workflow by a lot. Another thing I want to make you consider is improving the old DrawPlus or make up an entirely new 2D animationsoftware. I realized that there was non good Animation Software, at least for my needs, and so iI would love if this was possible. Ive seen it a lot that other people got the answer that their proposals were not the planned way for serief, but this would be quiet urgent. Because i had to animate a Chart, I was searching for program and bought DrawPlus, which I came to realization, was aweful. I could not copy and paste my needed vectors in there without an immense detail loss, the backgroud was turned white and the in software programs for background removal where not useable at all. And every other software I downloaded had similar issues. In the end I had to export every single frame out of Designer and assemble them to a GIF in GIMP2. And that was a huge amount of work to do. If you cinsider my Idea I would be pleased to give some suggestions for handy features. Mauritz
  3. Having independent blend modes for stroke and fill would be really handy. For example, I recently discovered the Erase blendmode, which is a godsend for not needing to manually expand and boolean things. Something I like doing is to give stuff padding by expanding the shape, "bulging it" in all directions, and then cutting that out of what's beneath, giving a sort of cell shaded look, but as if the outline is the background color. Being able to have the Stroke have an Erase blendmode would make this extremely handy and powerful, and I can imagine using strokes in "add" or "screen" blendmode for a sort of glowing outline.
  4. Hello, I've been poking around the internet some after seeing an ad about this app that caught my eye while browsing youtube videos. This application seems like the perfect blend of just about everything I need all in one, subscription-free package, and It definitely looks impressive. I've just got one niche little feature request that I'd like to see at some point in the future, if possible: Can you add the ability to play-back and save the history as a video/gif file? I love being able to visually see progress - especially when I can see each step along the way to further enhance/review my understanding of what I can do and how I can do it. Even though I'm looking to download it as just an app for now until I get into super professional stuff (if ever), I still think some desktop users would appreciate such a feature. The only way to do something of the sort is use a sort of screen-recording software, which can quickly eat away at available storage space with all the down-time that may exist without editing it manually. In my head, it sounds simple, for the history slider is already there... but the programmer side of me says anything can be difficult when you least expect it. :P Thank you for your consideration! I'll get to buying and using the app soon! :D
  5. I've already posted this in Questions & Feedback but since it doesn't seem to be implemented yet, I'm adding it as a request. For example, I have a square which only has a fill color (no stroke). If I click on another shape, let's say a circle and I'm changing it's stroke color, when I click back on the square, I would like the color panel to auto-select the fill attribute (since it's the only attribute the square has) instead of keeping the stroke attribute selected (from the previous change). My logic is that I would want to change it's color rather than add a stroke to it. This way would eliminate an unnecessary extra click and speed you up when you'd have to repeat the action several times.
  6. Are there any updates on the Trace Tool? I found some info about it in a 2014 post that it was coming to affinity designer. But I think it isn't yet in the application. Any updates on a release or a test version?
  7. Hey guys! I find myself needing to use/edit a high quality world map for various projects. The maps I've found so far are really under the quality standard we put into the design, but I didn't find a good one. Does someone maybe know of a free vector world map or something like that somewhere? Would appreciate it. Thanks!
  8. Please introduce a painting tool similar to the live paiting of Adobe Illustrator? You've been missing a lot of migration.
  9. I don't know if there is a way that when i click an elements, automatically find it in the layers window, because if i have a lot of layers i must to search for it if I want to move it. If there is no way to do this in this version i think it should be added, very important.
  10. I would very much like to see a Texture "Pane" Option in Affinity Designer (and Photo): In addition to being able to paint with texture brushes (in vector or pixel), or simply import a pixel layer with texture, I would love to be able to save and use an entire Texture "Pane" (as in window "pane") Option from a panel of options like the brush window offers. I would like to have the ABILITY TO MAKE A TEXTURE "PANE" TRANSPARENT (or translucent; either vector or pixel) IN ADDITION TO BLACK, WHITE, AND COLOR and be able to choose whether it will cut through all layers, or only a selection of layers. (I have searched and not found any method for doing this.) (I'm a newbie when it comes to the technical jargon, hopefully you get the idea. If anyone knows how to do this, I'd love your direction!) Thanks, H
  11. Hello everybody, With my first post in this forum I wanted to request a tutorial of how to sensibly create from a given (previously designed) instance of an entity, e.g. a ticket, a whole set of thos entities whereas they only differ in a single text property, like serial number or ticket code. Also given is the set/list of valid ticket codes. I hope this is not too much to ask Cheers
  12. I'd like to see a trim tool (select line(s), will delete line(s)_ up to another line). CorelDRAW has one that works really well. Here is a video showing the feature. thanks and great job so far.
  13. Hi all: I have found the pencil tool invaluable but there's always one little thing that it would be nice to have: Is it possible that the point at which the line is started could show as a visible coloured node? Whenever I get to what I think is the point where I started, I'm off target! It's not a huge problem but it would make the workflow faster if I didn't have to clean up too many nodes. I attach a poster I made where I used the PT for all those spiral patterns cut into the kerbstone at Newgrange. It could be that I'm just not using it properly and my apologies if that's the case. BTW I'm absolutely delighted at the way AD is working. Best wishes to all the team,, Kevin
  14. I see often pictures like this. As an interface designer I would love to click one button and see my different groups of layers exposed like this. Makes it easier for the workflow between developer and designer. Maybe this function can be adjusted to specific distance between layers, transparency and a main focus layer (no transparency). 15. Very MUST HAVE feature, when you are selecting points, they appears in own bounding box, and you can manipulate it like an object — scale, rotate warp (add warp). Just like in 3dsmax. Open 3dsmax and just add many coolest features from there, your app will conquer universe. Just from Edit Poly tool. Add extruding edges — killer feature... Just a lot of basic tools and you will be a king... Also: copying along path, matrix, create object arrays etc.; make instances or copies of objects, make it separate type. Make linked or embedded objects. Would be great to have ability to join many edges to one vertex (but the last is like fantastic)))
  16. This is my list of feature requests so I can completely ditch illustrator. While I love Affinity Designer and bought it to support development, It doesn't fully replace Illustrator because of a few key features that are missing: Feature Request List: 1) Path offset 2) Shape builder 3) Snap to intersection between 2 paths (This has been fixed in the latest 1.5 beta) 4) Snap to self/copy. (i.e. when I drag and object it should snap to its previous position, or if I Alt drag a copy of an object it should snap to the original object). Existing Features That Are Buggy: 1) Expanding a stroke creates way too many verts Other Low Priority Features: 1) Use saved pressure curves across documents
  17. Interface request: Click&Drag label of input changing the value. Moving UP or RIGHT ++ value, moving LEFT or DOWN -- value. Like in Attachment. Cheers. Neosim
  18. Hello All, I'm new to Affinity. Using the beta for Windows. I've already some feedback. I've seen the features request forum, but is there something like UserVoice? This way the team could see which features are the most important for users, without spamming topics with +1's. Affinity looks really good, nice work! Regards, Andreas F
  19. Hi, I’d like to use Affinity Designer for designing user interfaces, but, you know, it’s so tricky to design interfaces without this feature. Can someone help me? All the best, Vladislav
  20. I would like to request the support for arabic language. As it would be very useful to me and a lot of people who use the app. thank you.
  21. Stuff I would really love to see in Affinity Publisher! Affinity Publisher Document export into HTML5 files. Mobile Templates: iPhone, iPad etcs Easy beautiful animations. Audio features. :)
  22. 16-Bit would be so much better for printing. especially with gradients as a background. CMYK 16-Bit please. Thanks.
  23. Just started using Designer, and Photo, this week. Made a quick wish list (feature request grid) sheet on google sheets, Thought I may as well share a public version for people to edit and add their own Wish Items (Feature Requests) to have all in one place. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rilNYZcXRp338ycLsity5Uw4xOXexxfJ3_DKNgzl9WM/edit?usp=sharing
  24. Hi, I would like a tool added to Affinity Photo that allows you to add three or more RAW photos taken at different exposures and merge them into a single HDR image.
  25. Hi, My feature request is for a refocus tool, so you can try to fix out of focus images, such as the ability programs such as Focus 2 Pro and Refocus 5 have.
