thinking outside the boring old normal square Would have been so much easier to edit 2 and 3 in Lr and post as individual photos; but anyone can and does do that. first is a simple composite of the other two Hardest part is the idea. The second hardest part is putting the idea into place using layers/masks. There 3rd hardest part is knowing when is too much, not enough, or exactly around about close to perfect open both files as layers -- flower top layer cut the flower out with selection bush -- slightly smooth/feather selection -- add a layer mask with the marching still active -- all outside the marching ants will disappear. Now move/size the flower to suit --- no law saying you cannot rotate files. Bit of bad photography with Panasonic Fz300 while walking a friend's dog Just the two photos taken as I usually do; one focused on the moon and the other on the limbs -- was trying to get the "marshmallow" on the stick but the moon didn't want to be cooked --- maybe another evening Basic editing in Lr5 both files taken to affinity > focused moon enlarged to cover the other > masked in with the sharper limbs > bit of contrast added > border added with 'outline Just an interesting little edit to do and share questions welcome

Just more playing with sliders -- no idea what happened to the tiff with layers so I'm as lost as you to exactly what I did. I might be able to work a bit of it out if need be 2nd is the Oly raw file 3rd is how it looked before I increased the vibrance after seeing the image on FB . I have always enjoyed wasting time by manually mirroring images as it's always a surprise to see what pops up on the screen; but yesterday, I discover Affinity's mirroring tool. That thing really does do the brain in!! I took the first photo and gave it a spin to end up with the second photo. That was too easy so I decided to add my personal touch with a collage; something I have been making since film days and picture framing. And last one is just another of the first Amazing techknowledge, and so damn fast it's boring LOL Photo taken in 2012 in the hard country around Broken Hill, Australia Honest comments, suggestions and questions welcome. My question: how do I copy and paste 'layer effects' onto other photos in the same collage?

I do a lot of these collages and as I learn where this and that is in Affinity; and how that and this works I am being to like it more as I get another non-adobe program out of my head Everything here was done in Affinity --- 2nd file is the Oly raw file with my Lr5 starting point preset added . The log would only be a about 150mm/6 inches thick and couple of mts long questions, comments and suggestions welcome

Had Affinity (trail) for only a few days after getting disillusioned with another program although my old Lr5 is my first go to program for basic edits Although I have a better than average -- whatever average is (??) -- understanding of digital editing; it's always a head full to use a new beast that does mostly the same thing as others but in different ways and with different tool names . Still a lot to take in, find, and work out. This is one the first mostly Affinity edited images I have done . I always find it hard to explain what was done and how it was done apart from saying I use very few preset/actions in my editing . I also believe we should post a before and after edit file and that does give idea to what was done . 2nd is the Oly Em1 raw file How and why questions welcome

Hi all, New to AP. Relatively new to serious photography as well, but it has always been a hobby. First of all...big thanks to the Serif team for providing such a professionally crafted app at such an amazing price. Eagerly awaiting what's in store for the future. Anyway, just thought I'll say an introductory Hi with some recent shots RAW developed with AP. Cheers P.S. All criticism, advice and suggestions much welcome and appreciated.

Here is a few of my last walk in my county.

The picture that I captured had a lot of haze and dullness in it. So, I tried to retrieve some of those natural colours back inside AP Sharing the original image and the retouched version. Critics and feedback welcome!!

started off as one butterfly, then it became this. Large Wire. All my posted artwork was created using AD and a MBP's trackpad.
