About a year ago, I used the FUTURA font in my title and when I clicked on "fix" PDF, AFP2 added a carriage return for each word. Yesterday I encountered a new issue, all the dynamics are wrong. The final note should have a dynamic marking of mp. After clicking on "fix", they all went wonky instead. iMac >>> Music created in Sibelius. Exported to PDF. Imported into AFP2. Asked to click on "fix" >>> Resulting font problem.

The attached screen grab video details how I managed to bend logos accurately for a current job by using text on a path and copy pasting the vector logos inline, the majority of the job was done in Affinity Publisher but VectorStyler came to the rescue to help complete the idea - things to note: I discovered that the easiest way to move an inline distorted logo around a path is to keep a text character, also text baseline shifts come in handy for precise placement. this method worked out far more precise than using Illustrators or VectorStylers Arc tool. I just wanted to say hello! I'm kind of new here. I'm a 30-year Adobe user and bought every Affinity product as soon as they came out. But I never really made the switch until Publisher came out with 1.8 and became usable to me. I love Designer and Publisher. They are now my go-to's. I just need a little more time to get comfortable with Photo. Anyhow, I thought I would share with you a couple of vector illustration that I built entirely in Designer. This is something I could never do as well in Adobe Illustrator. The Red Strat was built in 1.7, and the Les Paul I recently did in 1.8.

Hi to everyone! This is the Lightpad M by Roli, one of my favorite pad for music. I made also an animated and interactive version with HypePro 4 using the AD elements. take a look If you are familiar with Hype you can also get animation in HypeDocks Affinity Designer and HypePro are my favorite apps and I hope these companies work to better integrate exports. It would be great to use AD as a basis for animating objects. I sell illustrations and photos on a few online stock sites. Affinity would make things so much easier for me if we could export a version 10 compatible eps. Still, Affinity Designer sure makes illustrations like this fun.

Hey Guys!! Newbie here! I'm new to the design and editing world in general. I came across afPhoto as a means of editing some photography I do and man, was I Impressed!!! This is the cover of a sample pack and my FB banner (2nd and 3rd image). The cover was made on the pixel persona of AD with a light retouch on AP. And the banner was recently made on AP since I've just acquired the app. How it looks on FB. https://www.facebook.com/aurantiummusic/ Really love to make textures on AD and AP.

Hi all, here is a recent client project and my first logo/illustration piece done in Designer. It's for the CD cover of the Derwent Brass, a brass band in the UK. The title of the disc is "Diversity" The idea here was to try to suggest or display some of the many instruments in a stylistic way that are included in the band as a grouping that forms the backdrop for the CD's title banner. My usual process was adhered to here, approved sketch followed by vector buildup of elements on separated layers. See below for screenshots. I made use of the "erase" blend mode to hide certain areas which worked perfectly. Each letter was "skewed" individually, to conform to the contours of the banner. Colour palette was kept to a minimum of blues and golds and a heavy black outline style was used to delineate and visually connect each element. As usual, it was a delight to create in Designer. I am looking forward to the up-coming distort and warp tools mentioned in the "road map" to be able to do more of this kind of work with type in Designer. :)

Most of my work is internal, and private unfortunately. This was my first serious go at using Affinity Designer for a project. It was a decent experience, but I did miss a few key things.
