  1. ...one of Rommel's artillery tractors in Egypt. Again original vector drawing made in XARA Xtreme 5.1, heavily post-processed with the wonderful AP Front flag, Frontwheel cover and rear canvas all done in Liquify Persona and "dodge"d and "burn"ed later... Look here for a similar drawing.
  2. Hey guys, I'm a new on forum, and have been actually using Affinity products as replacement to Adobe ones. I'm a long-time (from 7th version) user of Photoshop mainly, and I absolutely love your products - they are better in many ways, and apart from most people coming from Photoshop - I like personas. They do organize work in great way. But I find there is one missing feature that would be nice for retouching, and it's actually in Adobe's product. I'm talking about face-aware liquify, which gives a great option to manipulate face in easy and practical way. Of course I'd do that manually etc, but some of the modifications are just more precise with this tool and it's also just more friendly, and less time-consuming. I'd like to see it in future versions of Affinity . I think it'll help many beauty/portrait photographers/retouchers. For those not knowing what I'm talking about, there's short movie about the feature:
  3. I've been trying to use the Liquify Persona for some editing, and finding that it's... not great. It seems to only work on the original image, and not at all with images that I've done some color balancing to. That seems broken -- shouldn't I be able to go back to the original pixel layer and use Liquify on that? On one image I used patch to clean up some blemishes, and then merged the patch layer and the original, then tried Liquify... it wouldn't affect the image in any way. I can see the mesh deformation, but the image remains unaffected. Is it really a one-shot deal? Once you apply, it's baked into the image? That makes for a pretty dreadful workflow.
  4. Good morning from the Bay Area. Of all the modes Ap offers Pixel mode is the one that I have yet to conquer. Maybe I missed it , but I didn't see many tutorials offered on the official site. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, I am curious to see/hear how you implement this mode into your workflow. And if you had some of the same issues I am having, how did you learn to use this mode, and what do you find you use it for the most? Thank you for your time and guidance, it really is appreciated.
  5. Hi, I would like to ask if there is an easy way to alternate between the Freeze and Thaw tools on the liquify persona. If there isn't, I would like to suggest the use of the "ALT" key for that purpose. Also I noticed that on the Liquify Persona's tool bar, there are the primary and secondary color pickers, and I wonder, what is the purpose of that? thanks and keep up with the terrific work! Gustavo
  6. If I'm working with multiple objects that I want t liquify, I hate having to apply, select another layer, and go back into liquify persona. It would be much easier if Liquify Persona had an option to toggle between layers. This might be on the roadmap, might not, but the persona definitely needs the layer option to increase workflow efficiency
  7. When you're in the Liquify Persona, it would be very cool (pardon the pun) if you could keep the freezing tool within the bounds of your current selection. See attached.
  8. I am using Beta 4 so I'm going to post here - though it may be a general question. How do I add guides once I am in perspective warp or in Liquify Persona? It seems that the only is to exit liquify or warp, then add more guides, then return. Not sure if that's the case or if I'm doing something wrong, but for certain I have a strong need to add guides while I am refining perspective or balancing in liquify.
