  1. working on 300dpi file i am facing a very beginner problem im newly using affinity photo. how to fix brush lag and latency ? do i need to change these performance settings please help Desktop 2024.01.05 - 18.23.47.02.mp4
  2. Hi, When I use Designer V2 - it works fine for sometime (may be an hour or so - can't be exact on this) but then it starts slowing down and everything becomes really laggy. For example, the selection of any object, selection of a new tool from the toolbar by click or by keyboard shortcut, selection of a context menu button takes 3-5 sec or more! The files I am working on are not that heavy, in fact most of them are under 1MB (it uses many gradients and vector brush) but still it lags severely. It seems like the lag is slowly creeping in before becoming noticeable. I reminds me of some earlier version of Designer V1 that had similar lag (which version resolved it I don't remember now) . I am using Designer V2 on Windows 10 V 21H2. (19044.2251) and face no such issue with Designer V1. I have turned off hardware acceleration / Open CL after seeing some other threads on similar (but not exactly same) lag issue - however it hasn't helped. Please let me know if there's a solution that I can try or if it's a known bug when it would be fixed. Thank you.
  3. Hello, I'd like report a performance issue. Affinity Designer Version: 2.0.0 System: Apple Mac Studio, M1 Max, 24c GPU, 32GB memory, 1TB SSD macOS: Ventura 13.0 Display: LG 27GN950, Displayport 1.4, Adaptive Sync enabled, 144Hz, 4K Mouse: Logitech G502X, Polling Rate: 1000Hz, DPI: 800 - 8000 (Edit: usually I'm using 3600 - 3800 DPI) Settings: Hardware acceleration: Metal compute acceleration (Apple M1 Max) ; Display: Metal (Edit: The issue also seems to occur with OpenGL) Issue: Selecting and moving objects appears laggy. I also noticed it when moving folders or files on my Desktop, so it could also be related to macOS Ventura. Video: https://youtu.be/kzrrg5mBT30 Repeat: Open any project and move any objects. Greetings, DC9V Affinity 2.0.0 ~☺~ M1 Max.mp4

  5. I love Affinity products and have been a huge advocate of the suite trying to coax anybody to switch. But as of late I have been experiencing the most disappointing and frustrating lag when using Publisher. Although it's two years old, I have an above average computer that is constantly freezing and lagging only while I'm in Publisher. I've included screen shots of computer data as well as activity monitoring but to list the scenario: MacBook Pro 2018, Quad Core i5, 16 GB Ram Activity Monitor Peak: CPU % 320 Project: 18 Master Slides, <400 hyperlinks total, Tables, Text Boxes, Shapes. There are no photos, no embedded items. File Size - 1.4 MB Total. What the lag looks like: Spinning beach ball while trying to type a FOUR letter word on the attached page (21 hyperlinks). Note: I've even deleted most all of the hyperlinks (less than 40) and I am still experiencing lag and freezing.
  6. Hi, so I really like affinity designer! It's easy to create vector stuff and it's very fun to use. But, performance is not there (in my opinion) There is a slight lag when you move the items which is very annoying And some weird blurry lines as you zoom in or out. My PC Specifications: I7 - 7700 geforce gtx 1050 16 Gigabyte RAM Samsung SSD 850 evo 250GB Windows version is 2004 i'm on the free trial version Here is an example of what I was talking about any fix to this is next update?? pleas help me this is the only thing that stops me to get this program😒 2020-07-01_15-54-08.mkv
  7. I've noticed that pen tool is so laggy and slow. Also there're some lags and distortions when I try to move/drag any object. Are there any ways to solve this issue? Here you can check the gifs I made: http://imgur.com/a/7hpyt Windows10 8GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M
  8. Were the minimum system specs changed for the final release of AP? One of the reasons I purchased it was because it's supposed to be fast and able to handle certain processes in real time. That's not been my experience at all. I tried developing a RAW file and for every button I pressed, AP was a good 3-5 seconds behind. It's been like this since the evening I bought it. I given it a few days and I even exited every other program I had running and restarted my comp - same result. I have a mid-2009 Macbook Pro with 8GB Ram and OSX Yosemite. Is there an option I may have missed in preferences or something? As it stands now, the program is completely unusable to me. I'm willing to try different things because I think there's great potential here and I would prefer to keep it, but not if it runs like this. Any help would be immensely appreciated.
