  1. I am running the the latest operating system on my MacBook and I have the latest Affinity 1.9 When in photos I select "Edit in Affinity' it doesn't load consistently. The other issue is when I edit in Affinity I cannot save back to photos. This is a nuisance and it happened before with earlier versions of both. Something needs fixing. I deleted and redownloaded Affinity to see if that would 'cure' the problem. Any help would be appreciated
  2. A couple days ago I asked about the value of pdfTool in a Quark forum. One comment was unexpected in that they pointed out that the tool is especially good for adding to a Publisher workflow in that it hasn't been around as long and may need a little more help than mature products like Quark and InDesign. That one perspective alone almost justified it's $500+ price tag. I wanted to know have other people found that those two products work really well together? Publisher is the only tool in the suite I haven't explored extremely in depth and I haven't even installed pdfToolbox yet. I like how Serif keeps the price low which allows for workflows like installing it on non-designers computers as I mentioned a couple days ago. Since the work in my company needs to pass by me the more expensive product (pdfToolbox) only needs to be installed on my machine. At first I didn't understand the very low pricing that Serif was doing but now it makes sense. I have even grown to like the name in that it may confuse some Microsoft Publisher users to accidentally start using Serif Publisher.
  3. Hello, In AP, is it possible to script an “action” like new layer creation or loading a 3d lut to a new layer? Photoshop allows this and can be used as a way to integrate with other applications. If this allowed, is there any documentation on this? Regards, Frank
  4. Hi folks, I suggest implementation with variable data from an excel or any office datasheet. I usually do event folders that need scheduling with constant editions in cases of changing time, day, speaker, title or photos. It´s extremely necessary that changing my datasheet automatically adjust my layout using variables by tag or other similar way. It´s relevant that interface doesn´t ask for manual insertion fields and the dialog box offer tags to drag and drop like into document, permitting applying styles into them with personalized adjusts. It´s just a suggestion that I´d love if happen! template_event_folder.xlsx
  5. I would like to be able to make the selection of n images in the DAM( Think Aperture as a cataloging tool, but no editing, ) and would like to add a function there to open the current selection of images as *[ a stack ] in Affinity Photo. How? Can I call Affinity remote? Where the content of *[ ] could be anything that would benefit the user, such as: [ append selection to frontmost workspace ] [ open selected files individually ]
  6. Hello how do I set up an extension so th I can open Affinity directly from Apple Photos on my iPad, make edits, and save right back to my Apple Photo Library? For example, PS express and other apps work seamlessly like this. Thanks. Dan
  7. For more than 3 years, issues of integration with these services have been regularly opened. Do you have any news on this? Maybe there will be an app from Affinity (Affinity Viewer) or another solution? Work without these tools has impossible. We can't work with many frontend developers (
  8. Hi, in Affinity there are nice tools to stack photos (focus, panorama, ...) :-) It is not possible to sent files from outside the program directly to this tools. But this would be nice, becaus of integration in Lightroolm and similar software. In the moment you can sent more photos to Affinity, but you are not able to use them in the stacking tools. Of cause, a "real" Lightroom integration would be the best for the workflow. For the moment it will help, if there will be a way to send photos to all tools in Affinity (and reimport the result). Regards Stephan
  9. Hello Affinity team, it is great to finally being able to test Photo in Windows, thank you so much for providing an alternative to Photoshop! I have a question regarding the integration of Photo in my Lightroom workflow: I have added Photo as an external editor in Lightroom, and selected ProPhoto 16-bit TIFF as the file format. The picture opens up in Photo, but as soon as I want to save my picture (even if I did not make any changes), I can save it only as file type .afphoto. This is true no matter if I select Save or Save As. The same is true if I select PSD instead of TIFF as the file format. This means that currently I am unable to make any changes in Photo that would be recognized by Lightroom. I cannot imagine that Photo would not even me to save changes using the same file format the picture was opened in? Thank you very much in advance for the clarification on the file format for saving pictures. I would also appreciate some hints on how to best integrate Photo with Lightroom. Robert
  10. I think it would be nice to have integration with Apple Photos. I believe that Apple offers an option for plugins , so perhaps by clicking a plugin icon we can open the image in Affinity. So, it would be nice to use Apple Photos for importing and navigation and do editing in Affinity. Right now I have to export the files ( not a big deal ) and then work on them. Initially, I disliked Apple Photos because it seemed to me rudimentary , however recently I have been testing it against other Raw editors including Lightroom ( horrible rendition of color at least for NEF ) and Capture One ( surprisingly Apple Photos handles color almost as good as Capture One, capture One has excellent Shadow and Highlight recover and Clarity filters , other than that I am happy with Apple Photos )
  11. I want to use Affinity like I have used Photoshop Elements in before: Drag pictures directly from Fotos into Affinity - do all changes - and save it back to Fotos. Affinity is not accepting any drag events from Fotos! : :( Another point: I have updated to El Capitan and Affinity 1.3.5. Even with this it is not possible to activate any plugin of Affinity for Fotos. The advertising slide show of El Capitan and Fotos is showing that it should be possible to use Affinity directly from Fotos. There is no way for me to activate this? :o What's wrong?
