Hey everyone, I am using Affinity Design for designing icons on Windows 10. When I'm finished I am exporting them to an svg. My Problem is, that it seems the objects move at some points a little bit or the border of objects gets streched. Maybe you can spot the differences at this simple icon. Icon in Editor: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1blrVFYoml01-97CSZWnUMNkC8Fx1y8PA/view?usp=sharing Icon after render: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iv7ObpwQ5C6ABQKzkC9nM90Plw2xQLDM/view?usp=sharing Only a few mistakes marked How can I fix this? Do I use a wrong resolution or generall wrong render settings? Best regards, Filip.

After the 1.9 release I noticed a discrepancy between the Affinity icons on the Mac dock. Designer and Publisher have hard edge squares and photo has rounded edges like the iPad OS icon. Is this intentional? Am I crazy for noticing this? (My Designer and Photo are Mac App Store versions while Publisher is purchased from Affinity website if that matters.)

Hi, there! Hope you guys are doing great. Well, long time ago I became a fan of the Oxygen Icon Pack, made for the KDE 4.0 Desktop. Sadly, it's no longer in use by the KDE Team, but its style is still one of my favorites. Now, according to this: Anyone may, and is encouraged to, use Oxygen Icons in their applications, websites and physical artwork. Modification is also allowed. The only restriction is that you can not restrict what others then do with the artwork. The icons are under the GNU Lesser General Public License You can use them as long as you give credit and point to the KDE Website. Also, if icons have been modified, you should also provide a link so that they can be downloaded, making it clear they are under the LGPLv3. So, what I did was to open all the Icons and saved them in AFDESIGN format (the icons were downloaded originally in SVG and SVGZ formats, Inkscape helped a lot), and I uploaded them here. (I also plan on including the SVG file exported from Designer, but I had trouble with some of the icons that's why I keep them in AFDESIGN). Hope you like the pack if you didn't knew it. Best regards! P. S. 1: If anyone is aware of any restriction that may apply, please let me know. P. S. 2: Some missing fonts: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Oxygen https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/bitstream-vera-sans https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/luxi-sans

They used to be so colourful but with Version 1.8.3.641 they are now all grey on Windows 7. I'd like them properly coloured please. I hope this doesn't mean that we ols OS users haven't been abandoned like Microsoft has.

Good day to all. I am a new user of Affinity products. The capabilities of these programs are really impressive. I work as a 3D illustrator. Most of all I was struck by working in Linear Color Space, as well as opportunities. I want to say thank you very much for the work done. These are really very worthy products! I have only one wish. Please consider adding the ability to change the UI Scale interface. Unfortunately, now the icons are very small, and the shape is also very difficult to recognize. It would be great! Thank you very much! You are the best!

Hey everyone, so I found those templates to export iOS icons and another document for Android apps. Since, we are developing an app in Flutter, this document is perfect fit. So I created a template doing both at the same time. Enjoy it. Follow instructions in the document and please write a comment for any bug / suggestion. App Icon Exporter - v1.afdesign

In case any might find them useful, attached are folder icons for each program. Included are Windows *.ico files, as well as *.png files. Affinity folder icons.zip

If you're designing an iOS app icon, you can use this template to export the 18 different icon sizes required by Apple named according to Apple’s guidelines. To get started, edit the Icon symbol on the App Icon layer. When you are ready to export, switch to the Export Persona and click the Export Slices button. Make sure to disable the mask layers before you export – icons should be exported as square images. You can download the latest version on my website. Thanks for looking!

Hello, I want to create a new icon asset with different categories. As of today the library (https://github.com/Templarian/MaterialDesign/https://materialdesignicons.com) contains about 5200 svgs which I want to import automatically. At this scale, Affinity designer does stop working on windows with the drag-and-drop feature, so I am searching for a new way to import the icons. Is there a tool which can create an afasset-file with automated sub-categories, renaming of the asset names and more? Can we create the files manually? Is there a document with the file content structure? Any other idea? Thanks in advance.

Does anybody else run into the same problem looking for an image file on Windows 10? I don't have Photoshop installed anymore, but I could have sworn it was so much easier to tell the file types apart. Now everything is called an Affinity Photo File. There's no way to tell if it's a .jpg, .gif, .tif, etc. even if I hover over it. This is a huge productivity hit. Could anyone suggest a workaround? Do I have to add the extension to the filename now? I miss my Adobe icons.

All Affinity programs use descriptive icon texts for the tool bar that at one point are misleading. See the attached screenshot: For the (z-)reordering of layers, the word Anordnen is used (1). That's good. For aligning objects, the word Ausrichten is used (2). That's fine. (3) also aligns objects, but unfortunately is translated as Anordnen, which means something else. To prevent misunderstandings, (3) should also be called Ausrichten. [nitpicking warning] (4) shows up as Zentriert, which is perfectly understandable and clear, but doesn't have the same wording as the other two horizontal alignment texts next to it. For textual consistency, I would prefer the text Zentriert ausrichten or, if a shorter text is desired, Zentrieren. Andreas Weidner
