  1. Hey I would love to be able to export a palette from either or both Design and Photo into some sort of HTML entity format. It would be great if it did a text file with CSS in multiple blocks: hex hsla rgba And we could just grab as needed for development.
  2. Hi guys, I can't find a field for entering hex colour codes in Publisher. Same problem Affinity Photo and Designer. Someone can help?
  3. Is there a way to copy a color value of an object to the clipboard for pasting in an CSS file, for example? I need to apply various RGBA values (RGB with alpha/transparency) and am tired of manually typing them for every object. OK, I just found the dropdown in the color panel where you can copy the currently selected color value as HEX. That might be useful sometimes but doesn’t help me in this case. Firstly, I need RGB(A), and secondly the color is applied as color overlay effect, not as standard background color. So, I wish I could just open any color panel and there would be a similar menu as in the color panel to copy a value in different variants.
  4. Hi, i would like to ask for a more precise tool to select HSL ranges. I `m usuall finding myself recoloring a lot and the precision would safe a lot of time form masking and etc Changing the values on the wheel is very crude i think. Really hard to nail it tightly down Additionaly i hate when moving external grey circles move the internal ones ;( when i just pinpointed at least one part Maybe there is a way to do it but i cannot find nothing ;( -Piotr
  5. Hello Affinity Designer enthusiasts, I'm using the 10 day demo copy of AD.Like many here, I would like to move away from Adobe Products since their marketing plan has moved in a direction that is software rental rather than ownership. I've used Fireworks for years. One question that I haven't found an answer to yet that is related to my switching away from Fireworks is: How can I enter a hex number for a color or even rgb numbers instead of using only the sliders? I suspect there is a way, but I'm too new to AD to know it. As an example: #CCCCCC instead of using the sliders to try to achieve the color. I use the number entry feature in FWs a lot. Is it present in AD? Even if I could use RGB numbers, I'd do that. Whatever is available in AD. Thank you for your help in pointing me to the right place in this software. :)
  6. I'm not sure why this is the case, but if you compare, say, the Mac Finder list of resources (photos, in my case) with Lightroom's list of photos and with Affinity Publisher's List of the Resource Manager, the sort order of the Mac and LR match, but the Resource Manager has a different order. I'm not totally sure, but it seems to be the way leading numbers on the names are sorted. Mac and LR sort by the numeric value, then alphabetical, Publisher sorts by, I believe, hex value - or by character value, then alphabetical characters. Thus, "007" comes before "6" in Publisher, whereas it's the reverse on the Mac and in LR. This plays havoc with the user's ability to cross-check and validate Publisher resources against system lists. Can't we have a match of Publisher's sort (everywhere, e.g., Resource Manager, Index, etc.) with the system it's installed on? Thanks! See example screenshot.
  7. AP Color sliders can be changed to see the reference RGB Hex #. My question: Is there a way in Swatches Panel to type the known Hex values to add the color to the Swatches Palette? This is a very simple process in Procreate Swatches to add colors to the Swatches Palette. Type Hex number, click color and it's added, maximum 30 per Swatches Palette.
  8. Hi, I remember seeing this requested once or twice and I've even requested this myself 2 years ago and I thought it would've been simple to implement. Can we please have support for shorthand 3 character "hex" colour values like in CSS that combine 2 duplicate characters into 1 - i.e white can be #FFF instead of the more verbose #FFFFFF, yellow – #FC0 instead of #FFCC00, #333 for dark grey instead of #333333 etc. Currently, only #000 for black accidentally works, but none of the other shorthand values do. Thanks.
  9. Is there a way to select color values with hex and save them to a pallet?
  10. It would be great if we can get the HEX input/listing on all of the color sliders. I know it shows up on the RGB Hex setting but if I'm working in one of the other slider color spaces I need to constantly switch back to the RGB Hex to read a HEX value. It would be a great time saver. We could also have an option to have it appear or not appear on each of the color sliders in case there are people who do not need it to be shown. Cheers!
  11. Greetings Affinity, I was wondering if it would be helpful to have a HEX field available in all color profile palettes/windows. Lately, I've been working in HSL, as I find it easier to target a particular color, and it would be nice to have the HEX code running alongside the sliders (like RGB Hex). Also, I've been using AD to comp web designs and I'm constantly bouncing between RGB Hex and HSL to input HEX colors from a pre-existing brand style guide. Just a thought. :-) Cheers! jB
  12. Hey guys, It would be great if we could have the HEX value input text on all color examples. For instance, when you create a shape, in the top bar properties panel you have the fill color and stroke color, and you have all sorts of color pickers (hue, rgb sliders, hsl color scheme, etc), but only the HEX SLIDERS picker contains the actual input field for the HEX code. It would be great if all these color pickers would contain the hex color code, in UI design this is used a lot Thank you for a great product I am very grateful.
  13. Please consider adding a HEX color input box for the color pallete. Sometimes it's just as important to be able to input a color into the pallete as to extract one and this would be very useful for web design.
  14. Hi there, I hope you can help me out to understand this. Apparently, for some reason, my code on the top bar of the RGB colours have more digits than usual. Whenever I double click on the colour panel on top of the layers' panel, the code appears correct, but as you can see on the image attached, on the other place I am seeing too many digits.... If I try to copy a normal 6 digits RGB hex number on there, it transforms it to a different code and colour. Thank you.
  15. Hi Guys, I'm really enjoying affinity design so far. Going from Inkscape to this has been a real change. The only thing Im missing atm is hexagonal grids :( Cheers,
