  1. Photoshop Plugins: Most do not work or perform wrong function: I went to the plugins section in the preferences section. I added PS CS6 program under plugin search folder. I added \ as the path by selecting my mac hard drive. Am I missing something?
  2. I need to be able to edit the svg's produced by affinity designer. I would like to animate them and to modify the effects. One major problem I'm having is that there is just no sensible way to export svg's through designer. Code Readability I was pretty upset to discover that the exported code was all exported on a single line, with no options to change the number of required decimal places or to format the code. I could cut down the filesize by less than half just by exporting to two decimal places of precision, which is more than enough for web use (in my cases). Lack of SVG Filters Svg filters are a must for export options. When applying an outer glow, I could use Affinity's built in tool and get a 100kb file, or use an svg filter in illustrator and get a 2kb file. On top of that, when you rasterize the filter, I can't animate it anymore on the web, which means that I just have to use illustrator to get anything done. So in summary: 1. Could you please add support for svg filters in your effects panel. I appreciate that you've got a number of very useful effects in there, but if they all get rasterised upon export, their usefulness is significantly reduced. 2. Could you please format the exported svg in a more readable way, or at least have an option to do so. A few line breaks and tabs add almost nothing to the file size, but it makes it far easier to actually read the output file and to make edits to it in code. Also, please allow us to export to a given precision that would be appropriate. in general, the exporting of svg's just needs work before I can use it in my workflow. Best regards; Saivan.
  3. Is there any way to filter through layers, or could this be possible in the future? The layers panel is good, but perhaps could be even better. For example: Sometimes using live trace in Illustrator produces hundreds of layers and doesn't group them. Say you have a black and white patterned image. The black and white layers will be mixed up together. But say I only want to change the color of white layers, or to hide them, I have to go through the mixed up layers one by one. I would love to be able to filter layers somehow. By color would seem one possibility. The media assets tool Pixave has something like this (it allows you to look for assets in your library by color). Could something similar be brought into AD?
  4. Hi All, I am an experienced LR user, with some GIMP experience migrating to AP, reason I say so, I am not a experienced PS user and an AP beginner, so I may miss some of the concepts, however I have observed the following issues, I can do a little help with in my understanding. First AP team great job and product! Keep up the good work, I really like working with AP and comments below are meant in a constructive way. 1) Personas, great concept, why is there no Panorama Persona and no Stack Persona? Both develop an image and end up in the Photo Persona, I tried both with RAW files and are unable to use the RAW Persona. I would AP expect to create a Panorama or Stack in RAW for development. 2) RAW and Photo Persona, after applying development in RAW and working in the Photo Persona, going back to RAW seems to leave me with the developed picture, my original development settings are visible in the picture, the sliders back to 0. So if I make adjustments I develop an developed RAW. 3) Some of the functions are available in different Persona's and menus were others are not, to give some examples: Photo Persona, perspective correction and distortion filters, great for easy access, I would expect these in the Liquify Persona. Organisation and grouping of adjustments, filters, live filters and functions, I can not see the logic of how they are grouped. I understand their operations on either pixel layers, adjustment layers, why 2 sets of filter (destructive and non destructive (live)). Not all Filers are Live Filter (or is this part of the road map and fase out destructive filters?) I fail to understand the order of the live filters in the menu, group picture optimisation and effects (artistic) they seem to be everywhere. What is the difference between the perspective correction on the tool menu and the perspective live filter. I guess the Layer Adjustments from the Layer menu are the same as from the dialogues on the right side (adjustment tab next to layer tab with the adjustment previews (Cool!) and the icon on the bottom of the dialogue (half B/W circle) the layer effects can only be found in 1 place, next to the adjustments Fx, not even on right click layer......) Last example, there are more.. why is Lighting in the filter menu.....? it is a destructive pixel layer tool and should be in the tool box. I think every user has his view and working and I would opt for a Personal Persona ;-) where one can configure not only the toolbar and the studio but also the top menu options. I understand that Affinity want to make everybody happy but I get the Martini commercial feeling : anytime anyplace anywhere. Cheers, Jeroen
  5. I dowloaded and started to incorporate Affinity Photo into my workflow. I must say I am very impressed by this software and fully expect to use it instead of Photoshop (Adobe CC goodbye :-)). Having using the full version for a few days (but the beta before) I have found two things I use in photoshop missing (or I failed to find the function in AP). 1. Shake reduction filter. Does not do well on most images but in some cases it can be a savior. I would love this in AP. 2. Radial blur filter using the zoom method. This is a very useful filter when trying ti create (or improve) light rays (e.g. God rays from clouds) But so far this is the only thing I found missing (or haven't found) in AP. Now I only wish for an Affinity Lightroom replacement! :-) Thanks for a great software!!
  6. Hello, is there a Deinterlacer in Affinity Photo and where I can find it. Greets from a new User from Germany.
  7. Hey guys, congrats again for the awesome launch of Affinity Photo! I had this idea: it would be great if filters and commands (such as Straighten / Rotate while Cropping) had a checkbox enabling an "Inpainting" option to fill in the newly blank pixel areas with Affinity's awesome Inpainting algorithm... Thanks for considering this, I think it would be a very handy option. Cheers!
  8. I have a noisy JPG (light level was too low) so I clean it up with some de-noise filters and it looks loads better - but when I try to save it (export) as a JPG or TIF it ends up all noisy again. What am I doing wrong?
  9. I'm really exited to see how much I can create with affinity's solutions, and I would like to be able to use some artistic filters gallery. Something to convert a photo into a oil paint style, watercolor, charcoal draw, mosaic, textures, distort, styles, etc.
  10. Hi friends, I have to report a really impossible and fastidious bug that I have detected in my APH app. Each time that I am applying a Live Gaussian Blur Filter to an image ( in this case it is a selected one in its own layer) there appears and does increase in visibility, a sort of big gridding lines that are not of course tolerable for my purpose. These lines are of a purple colour and not specially discret. As the launching has been very recently I guess that this problem will be solved out very soon. Meanwhile, at least today, I cannot use this filter. I thank you for your splendid help that you are always offering and hope that you will find the solution for this problem. Greetings from Bilbao, Spain. Rossa
  11. I usually have a startup point set for the Unsharp Mask filter when I'm working on a photo. But in Affinity Photo every time I open a new photo to work on, the settings in Unsharp Mask are reset to default. Is there a way to set those as a preset? Also, any thought to providing something equivalent to Actions in photoshop for dealing with repetitive tasks? Thanks Don
  12. Hi there, so I recently downloaded the affinity beta, anyway during the promo video it showed the ability to add instagram like filters over photographs (will attach a screenshot). However I cannot find the feature anywhere within the program? Sorry it's all very new to me, i'm sure it's hiding in there somewhere. Thanks!
  13. Hi All, You might have seen this on social media, but could be useful here - a quick introduction to the Live Filter Layers Andy added to the beta build last week...
  14. I'd like to see the Sharpen filters on the Adjustment tab or allow the Adjustment tab to be customized for the tools a user uses most. This is commonly used and annoying to go to the Filters menu item for it. I'd love to be able to drag and drop a tool I use often to the Adjustment tab and remove ones I never use!!! It would be spiffy :) Also, are the Sharpen features even working? I tried all 3 of them and didn't see any change in the image. Thanks!
  15. I got around to playing with the Distort filters. A few questions: 1. Deform tool: very cool tool. Is there a way to remove the Deform focus points? 2. Perspective: Isn't this a "Tool"? Why is it in the Filters list as well?
