  1. I want to suggest making it possible to keep the original files exif/metadata in ALL slices set. As far as I understood only the very first slice which is automatically set (not really a slice, but just the whole thing called by the projects name) keeps that data since it works with the same engine as the default export function (the one you can use over Data>Export from everywhere, which you can set to delete all exif data if you want). All other manually set slices will always loose their exif data and there is no option to change that! I imagine it to be not that hard to i
  2. I work only with scanned TIF files, and lately I have noticed that my EXIF data is gone after saving. This is not good, I really need my Exif data !!! It seems that I can't see this information within Affinity ? My workflow is as followed: Scan the image Edit in Affinity Save run exiftool to add the needed fields Now when opening the file again and saving all my exif data is gone. After running exif tool (not all fields) patrick_marquetecken@Patricks-Mini ~ % exiftool -xmp:all /Volumes/G-DRIVE\ 4TB/FOTO\'S/2020/Stillevens/1545.tif XMP Toolkit
  3. I get that I have to save my edited photos back to camera roll by export-share-save image, but somewhere along the line I’ve lost exif data, most importantly date and time taken. This means when I save to my cloud storage it’s out of date order with my other images. Surely there’s a solution for this but I can’t find one despite the searching. If I could save directly from affinity to amazon photos it might not happen but there’s no way to do that either afaik.
  4. hello, I need to know if you planned to add an option to preserve EXIF data and fill some fields on the "new batch job" function... Need feedback ASAP
  5. I was excited to learn about the metadata editing feature. I have a standalone product that does it, but it is really cumbersome. However, there are some things that Affinity Photo 1.8.0.585 (currently the most recent version for me) isn't doing, and I am wondering if I am missing something, or if it is just not there yet. I am using a Windows PC. I have entered data in all of the fields on the File page, I left EXIF alone, IPTC (Image) I entered my name for Credit, IPTC (Contact) I entered Country and Website. For the Rights, I don't intend to put this image in the Public Domain,
  6. Hello, in the Photo-Persona the Copyright-Information is missing
  7. The EXIF information is available during the Develop Persona, but not available in the Photo Persona. Can we have an easy way to access the EXIF data whilst editing? Please? AS it is, one must switch modes (Personas) back to Develop to see EXIF data. Whilst editing, some decision are made using EXIF data (e.g.- "How much noise suppression do I normally use for this ISO?", "Did I shoot that at 12mm or 14mm?") Thanks. Walt Palmer
  8. After processing a number of 16 bit images in Affinity Photo, I exported them as 8 bit tifs. I have the Embed ICC profile and Embed metadata boxes ticked. When I viewed the 8 bit images in BreezeBrowser Pro they were very slow to display. I've contacted BreezeBrowser support and they have suggested that the issue is probably that Affinity Photo does not produce an EXIF thumbnail and this is why the display is so slow. Is this the case or is there an option somewhere that I need to switch on?
  9. For some RAWs, the EXIF data is complete and accurate; in some it is incomplete, and in others it is inaccurate. I used RAW images from two bodies and a variety of lenses: the RAW images had the same (long stable) firmware for all the photos being discussed, but the firmware (and models of the two bodies) were different from each other. In the menu bar with "Develop /Cancel" above the file name, the EXIF information may be correct, incorrect lens data, or camera only. For one camera (SD14), it showed only the resolution and size in output megapixels, camera model, and an incorrect le
  10. Re-posting in the right forum... Can Serif provides a suitable API for reading EXIF data from a Affinity Photo document (.afphoto) ? Or has the Affinity Photo file format been documented somewhere so tools like NeoFinder can read these values of EXIF data ? Thanks PS. Neofinder Web site: https://www.cdfinder.de/en/info.html

  12. Hi. I use photoscape along with affinity photo. PhotoScape has a unique option on the rightclick menu to edit or copy the exif metadata. For those who don't know what metadata is, the EXIF is imbedded into a RAW or JPEG or TIFF to record details relevant to the picture. For example, ISO Fstop focal length of lens exposure time are all recorded as well as photograph date drive mode etc. This is a really handy tool so I don't have to carry pencil and paper around with me when taking photos. I note this feature is also missing in Affinity photo. I can cut paste across applications but to have thi
  13. I am new to affinity photo, just purchased it. the version is 1.6.5.135 using on laptop which runs Windows10. I need help to adjust the way EXIF value are shown in EXIF panel. The FNumber is shown as 14/5 instead of 2.8, Exposure Time is shown as 10/1 instead of 10 secs, Metering mode is shown as 5. How do I get it to show f2.8, 10 secs, Evaluative or Spot etc?

Rate photos using Nikon's Software ViewNX-2. All meta data readable and correct displayed from .NEF file in software. 2. Edit and create .tiff file using PhotoLab 2. All meta data readable and correctly displayed from .NEF file in software. 3. Edit in Affinity Photo in example used just the HSL filter. 16. When I tried batch processing of photos, I did: select the raw photos use a macro to apply the same crop save as png The exif data was dropped from the photos. When I did the operations on the photos one by one the exif data was preserved into the png files.
  17. Hello, I am a new Affinity Photo user and I found out, that when I export file to JPEG, I loose EXIF info. When I open RAW file from my camera Nikon D700 in Development persona, EXIF tool doesn't read all the EXIF info (compare to Nikon ViewNXi, where I see a lot more EXIF information about image settings, camera info, flash info, Picture control settings etc.). When I develop image, work on it in Photo persona (using NIK collection plugin as well) and export it to JPEG (embed metadata checked), EXIF data is lost then. Is there any way to preserve all the original EXIF data embedded in R
  18. Hi. I am sorry if this has been asked before but I have searched the forum and cannot find an answer for this. I have been happily using AP for several months and learning lots, and have now got to a stage where I am finalising several bits of work. When I work in Photoshop before going further I would go to File Info and then add the image info such as title, description, relevant searchable keywords, and then add all my copyright info and my url, so once it goes out my image has relevant metadata attached to it to help protect it and identify it should people need to contact me. I
  19. I am a full-time professional photographer and I'm very impressed with Affinity Photo for iPad. I believe it could allow myself and other photojournalists, who are often traveling with a lot of gear and transmitting images from the field, to lighten our loads and simplify our editing workflow. However, I need to be able to edit/append photo metadata without having to send the photos back over to my laptop. Specifically, I need to include caption/description, copyright status, location data, and creator/contact info with the files I submit. Currently, there is only one iPad app I know that can
  20. Hi; I hope no-one minds if I ask advice while also sharing... I created this 4096x2160;16bit;P3 file as part of a series of test images for checking a cinema auditorium. Obviously, it is using cone gradients of the primary and secondary colors, then flipping them around to meet up in a pattern. One major problem that I have had is getting each 1000x1000 square to exactly butt up against each other without leaving a fine (fine, fine, fine) line between them. It shows on the ADesigner screen image and shows up in the TIFF image (12-bit TIFF is what is required for the transfer to a ci
  21. Exif data is totally cut of by Export Persona It is only properly exported/adapted from RAW by File/Export function. Generally: The Exif handling should be implemented much better. In comparison to Lr/Photoshop it is de facto inexistent. Of course there is the "All" view. But in there, I mess up with the countless xml tags, which are quite inconvenient to use - if you don't know the correct meaning by heart - what I do not and I have no intention to learn them. Guys, I want to use the program and not mess around with xml tags I have no clue of Appreciate any
  22. I'm a long time Photoshop user. One of the default things I do before posting photos to the web is add a title, description, copyright info, and keywords to my files. I really, really, really want to be able to do that in Affinity Photo! I've tried using a standalone EXIF editor on my iMac, but only part of the data added is retained when output for the web (after editing in Affinity Photo -- i.e. all keywords/tags are missing).
  23. Hey folks, actually I am very upset at the moment cause I have to repair manually lot of the data from my photos made from my trip in Scotland. Actually I use the raw development from my Panasonic data and this kills and messes up everything in the EXIF. E.g. the GPS data that is recorded well in the jpeg and the .rw2 file from the cam. I open the rw2 and develop with affinity photo and long story short... after the export to jpeg again the GPS data is "modified" means that the longitude is changed from west to east ??? WHY!? Finally all of my pics have been shot in t
  24. When manipulating RAW files and exporting them into JPEG, the EXIF data does not contain any clue, that the JPEG was created using Affinity Photo. Most other tools use the EXIF-Tag "Software" to identify, they were used (e.g. Photoshop, Windows Photo Editor, Lightroom etc.). Wouldn't this help to increase the degree of recognition of Affinity Photo?
  25. In AFFINITY PHOTO, EXIF date shot lost on export I cannot find the date and time of shot after exporting the image .psd or .jpg. Date shot is OK when saving in .afphoto format — see screen shots. How can I keep date and time of shot in other formats? Thanks for the tip.
