  1. It would be beneficial / useful if a node could be moved (slide) along the path of a curve. This feature is available on Adobe Illustrator and I have used it often. I really miss this feature in Affinity Design (iPad). Thanks for your consideration of adding this feature.
  2. I have a Canon PowerShot SX70 which produces CR3 raw file. All these images here are screenshots of at the default zoom level (~16.2%). It took this photo of a Quince flower. Here is the image as loaded into the Develop persona: And here it is after some adjustment of the exposure to increase the brightness without over exposing the pale petals (keeping the right edge of the histogram just off the right-hand edge). The petals are fine, but the rest of the image looks a bit dark, but that does not bother me. When I then click on Develop, I get this: The petals look rather over-exposed, but the background leave are now well exposed. If I chose not to apply the tone curve, I get the final image like this: which looks fine for exposure, but seems rather flat. The jpg image produced by the camera looks like this: I actually prefer this last one in terms of contrast and exposure, but I am surprised that I cannot get my raw development to look like this. Any suggestions? John
  3. i will like to see a sdk or api system which will allow developer make plugins and hack for affinity products. i believe with this feature affinity products and awareness will grow faster and also we will see some amazing stuffs from user. please consider this so i can build some amazing stuff for prototyping . Thanks
  4. I need to grade (develop) several photos to the same standard, but run into a few problems. The right way to do this for me, would mean being able to overwrite the profile I have laid on all the pictures, and have all the pictures loaded with said profile update automatically. Instead, Affinity Photo rejects saving a profile with a previously used name, so when updating the profile I need to give it a new name, and then change all the photos to use that new profile. Which is both tedious and messy. I understand the need to protect users agains sudden and unwanted changes, but it goes too far. It slows down a whole class of use cases. I also see it could be kind of slow to update a large number of pictures at once, but the advanced thing to do here would be a "lazy" approach, where the changes wouldn't be applied to the pictures before needed. As in viewed, saved, exported and so on. (But for me, either way is an improvement.) I also tried the snapshots in the develop persona, and while I see that they have a limited use they are impossible to rename. Which makes it difficult to remember where I was when I took that snapshot. Fix, please?
  5. I just wanted to recap the current state of how Affinity Designer is performing in web design workflows. I'm using Affinity Designer since one year for all of my work and I love the application itself. But as of now there is no complete workflow to handout designs made in AD to developers in any way: 1. Neither Zeplin nor Avocode support AD and it doesn't seem that anthying will change here. 2. Affinity Designer supports PSD Export but has two major drawbacks: Border radius properties are not preserved and text layers are completely flattened which make them completely useless. 3. Affinity Designer doesn't support the new open file format of SketchApp to be able to export designs as Sketch files to then inspect them in Zeplin, Avocode, or any other Sketch Viewer. 4. Exporting to SVG or PDF is not an option either because important properties like border radius, line-height and others are missing. 5. Right now it doesn't seem that Affinity is adding an inspect persona or any viewer service or app. So I'd like to ask the Affinity Designer team: What are your goals to improve the workflow for webdesigners and developers? How are you planning to improve this workflow in the future or don't you plan to do anything in this regard? Do you have any suggestion how web designers can work with developers? I've added a poll so that users can vote which suggestion they like the most.
  6. Hi, My company has started using Affinity Designer on the work floor and it's been great! But it got us thinking that a Developer persona would be very useful, where our developers could just click sections and get the full html / css structure, code, just a copy paste away from making it into the code. Maybe allow a view of the flow through the app via arrows so the developer has a good idea of the user-journey through the interface. The persona could also be used to view several states of an object, like an input field that returns and error or a button in a different state. I think this would tie in nicely with the 1.5 release that made interface work in Affinity so much more attractive and improve the flow between designers and developers. Thanks for reading.
