  1. Dear all, Not sure if the function is already available - at least I'm not finding at (but don't let that be a reference :-)). I used to work with Photoshop and what I personally miss the most, is that - when opening a new file - the dimensions of the copied/cutted image isn't auto suggested. When I now use Affinity for designing a website, it's always an added value that I cut/copy an image from an other page and when I click "New", that Affinity is already suggesting the correct/same dimensions as the cute/copied file. Hope the above explanation is a bit clear? Anyone facing this 'issue' and found a solution? Thanks! Niels
  2. Pulling my hair out on this one. (And don't have that much left.) I want to slice up a layer from one layer into 6 peices. I have moved from Gimp to Affinity Design and Photo, for this I want to use Photo: What I used to do in Gimp: Marque select the section I want. copy. Then paste as new layer. Repeat for as many sections I needed. How in the world do I do this in Affinity Photo? Masks have left me stupefied. There has to be a simpler way. Please tell me there is.
  3. I want to cut across an object layer so I will have four layers where once there was one. How do I do it? I appreciate the help.Affinity Designer
  4. Hi there, I am working on a map project. I have drawn the map so far and I was wondering, whether you could open the stroke on the outside (see the screenshots), to illustrate streets and make it clear, which streets are ending and which are going further. In my screenshots, you can see, that I have an other shape on top to cover the black stroke underneath. This is not precise and would require a tremendous amount of work to cover all open streets on my map. I was wondering, since there is no slice tool yet, whether you could solve this problem differently, maybe with several layers, blend modes, combine and subtract modes. You can see in the last screenshot the selected shape which I use as an overlay.
  5. Hi Guys! Isn't this great! I used to use Serif's packages for windows aeons ago, and we've finally got it on the Mac! I was hoping somebody could tell me if there's the ability to cut images from pictures easily. There was a function in DrawPlus (Serif's previous offering) called Cutout studio. Cheers, Mike
