  1. Hi. I've been experimenting with the latest (.26) Affinity Designer RC the past few days and have a recurring issue where AD crashes while I am drawing complex curves with the pen. It seems to usually happen after I've drawn and copied a curve several times, and then try to draw another one connected to those. Situations like in the image below. I didn't notice this happening on the previous RC but I also didn't use it nearly as much as this one. I'm using: Win 10 64 bit core i5-4690S with integrated intel GPU 16 gb ram ssd Love the program, can't wait for the final release!
  2. Hello, I've encounter a problem during refine selection. It's happens when I try apply output to mask. Every time I got different crash code.
  3. Designer crashed after I added a large object to the Assets panel which was located on a second display. Now Designer crashes on launch and I want to uninstall before re-installing the app. Questions: Can I save all my Assets before uninstalling? Where are they stored? I am delighted with Designer and have never had any problems with it up until now. Urgently need to get it back up and running. I'm on a Mac Pro with 12gigs of Ram and lots of storage space. Sierra 10.12 - Designer 1.5.1. Many thanks for any suggestions.
  4. I installed the update 1.4.3 Affinity Photo and after Osx Sierra iMac number of C17K2BJZDNCR series, now Affinity Photo has an abnormal memory consumption, fails to save a simple image with 12Mb graphic file consists of five active levels, I can be exported with great difficulty. I reinstalled A Photo Osx and Sierra but things have not improved.
  5. I am trying to download the 1.5.1 to fix the crashing problem but on the app store I don't see an update...Only the purchase
  6. Hi guys, as I have reported in other posts, after 1.5.0.19, Designer were crashing whenever I took my Wacom Bamboo Pen to use (until then I have been using the Wacom tablet without its pressure sensibility, but no crashes). But it haven’t ocurred me to test the application with the Wacom on my laptop built-in display, and vois-là, it at last recognized the tablet pressure: I could use the vector brush as expected, though the cursor became the default system arrow and the pen button set to pan the image could only pan vertically. But as I changed the application and the wacom tablet mapping to another display, Designer crashes after some pen strokes - some subtle changes, because the first time it ocurred to me, Designer crashes just on hovering the pen over the application window, before any strokes. I tried many tablet mapping combination without any change in such scenario, but could use the tablet again on the external monitor when I left the “Use Windows Ink” option unselected; but then again no pressure sensitivity. I cannot say if its a problem in the latest pen & ink improvements of Windows 10, nor if its related to the corrupted wacom driver mentioned in the 1.5.0.23 beta release fixes, though I have re-downloaded and reinstalled the wacom bamboo drivers many times, and pressure sensitivity is working in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Clip Studio even when the Windows Ink option is unselected. Intel Drivers also checked and up to date. The crash report is attached. Any ideas? I hope this report could contribute to the application excellence! Here is my hardware and system description: Affinity Designer beta build 1.5.0.23 on Asus K84C notebook Windows 10 Pro Build 14393.222 Intel Core i3-2330M 2.20GHz CPU 4,00 GB RAM - 64-bit Wacom Bamboo CTL-470 (driver 5.3.5-3) db6415ba-f1b5-47d7-aaa8-0369a171b864.dmp
  7. Got a crash while updating my Nvidia Driver to the latest (372.90 -> 373.06) while Designer was running (on the second screen).
  8. Hello, i realized all version of affinity designer crash when the app is running on integrated graphic card like Intel HD4600 in my case. I really don't know if the problem causing the designer or driver in Windows 10. I installed latest driver version for this GPU (part of my Core i7 4810HQ CPU in Acer Aspire Nitro V15) and it didn't fix this. There is no solution if you have no separated GPU. I have the Nvidia 860M, so i switch Intel HD to Nvidia 860M in Nvidia Control Panel and it works perfectly stable. For those who experience the same issue, try it, it should help. Tomas
  9. As object, AD crash immediately after startup, I tried pressing ctrl at boot to reset all preferences but the problem remains, what can I do to fix it? Mac osx 10.11.6 crash report.rtf
  10. I just downloaded the version 1.5 and now I don't have a working Affinity Designer. I get an internal error message and the program just wount work! The previos version worked perfectly on my imac as of yesterday ! What can I do to go back to the previous version if this error continues? Thank you. Like This Quote MultiQuote Edit
  11. This bug only happen to the beta version. You can reproduce follow by my steps. 1. Create a new file 2. Create a Shape 3. Export Selection (with or without background)** (alt+shift+cmd+S) 4. After the export, deselect the shape (by clicking on blank space) 5. Export (alt+shift+cmd+S) again 6. Crash out every times you try to export if you are not select an object. Cheers.
  12. Downloaded the Affinity Designer Windows Beta yesterday (27/09/2016) and found every time I zoom in or out (using the zoom tool or by navigating to the view menu and zooming from there) the application crashes. I receive an error message which says: "An Unhandled Exception has occurred and the application cannot continue. The Crash Reference dialogue will be displayed when the application is restarted. Code: 0x80070057" Upon restarting, the message is: "Affinity Designer has been restarted after a serious error. The error report will now be sent. Reference: 1690be94-851f-46ae-928d-8fd98b7dcbf4" Anyone else having this problem?
  13. The snapshot button is enabled even if no document is opened. This results in a crash:
  14. I opened a file with some symbols in it, drew something to the symbol (so it would be repeated throughout the image), saved under a new name, and it crashed. The modified file was still saved properly under the new name, so when I double-clicked it, AD loaded with this message, but I was able to open the file, which I am enclosing here, Cross-78.afdesign.
  15. Switching to the Pixel Persona and then holding " Control + n" for new file is crashing with "0x8004003". Same if using the menu for creating a new file or adding a new layer ors tarting to paint.
  16. Trying stupid stuff, I discovered that designer.exe doesn't like long strings as parameter 1. start cmd.exe 2. change directory to AD-Directory 3. start designer.exe with very long string as parameter (= crash 0x800700CE) Designer.exe %1%111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 Or by giving only a "?" as parameter: 1. start cmd.exe 2. change directory to AD-Directory 3. start designer.exe with ? or * as parameter (= crash 0x80070057) Designer.exe ? 22. If found something happening with symbols. -Start a new document size, background don't matter. -Open the symbols window -draw an ellipse fill with any colour (i used orange) -use this ellipse to create your symbol (you can see it in the symbol window) -Ctrl+C your shape (now symbol) Ctrl+V to paste your symbol as a new layer also named symbol -You can leave the same colour but I used a darker one for more contrast, changed my fill to dark blue -Now move one shape and select the 2 shapes ( ellipse for me) and here what I have noticed: -if you use the Add, Substract, Intersect or Combine functions THE SYMBOL ICON is not updated -When you use the divide function THE SYMBOL ICON is updated Is that the normal behaviour?

With the document open: Select Export from the File menu Select the PDF tab Preset: Select PDF (for web) Raster DPI: Select 300 (or anything above 72) (this causes the 'Preset' to go blank) Select the 'More' button Enter '150' in the 'Downsample images' 'Above DPI' Select the 'Close' button Affinity will crash as soon as you hit the 'Close' button. "An Unhandled Exception has occurred. Code: 0xE0434352"
