  1. Running iOS 12 on a 12.5 iPad Pro and Designer version 1.6.2.42 Whenever I run the Export > Share > Save Image option, Designer crashes. I've tried resetting my iPad and reinstalling Designer, but the issue persists. I've tried different Designer files, and they all seem to be doing it. Any ideas? Sean
  2. The program crashed while placing a .ai logo. Affinity Publisher Beta_2018-11-08-104442_TBS-Study-iMac.crash
  3. Hello, when importing afphoto files to picture frames, after 4 or five in the same page, Publisher simply crashes. Thank you, LA
  4. I installed Affinity Photo on my second computer and now it doesn't start anymore. Affinity Photo doesn't even start when only one of the machines is turned on. I deleted the %APPDATA%/Affinity/Photo/ folder on both machines and it still doesn't work. I also reinstalled the program twice and it doesn't work. It just crashes without an error.
  5. I can't open a specific document on Publisher. I made duplicates of it but publisher crashes too while try to open them. I tried to open it on windows but doesn't work either. Im working on a MacBook Pro with the latest beta of publisher. Would be super great if someone of the crew could help me because i need the file for University. Nice greetings from Germany 181023_Layout.afpub
  6. I purchased Affinity Photo quite some time ago, and my computer crashed. (The crash had nothing to do with Affinity Photo). After repairs I no longer have the program . How do I re-load this to my desktop?
  7. As far as I remember, I created a file completely in 1.7.0.145. No problems so far. Until I tried to continue a few days later; when opening the file, Publisher is crashing all the time. Attached also the file. crash.mov TX-Corvus-Libra_RX-Virgo_Standard_MU.afpub
  8. I don't know what happened. I'v been using the program for days without problems (working on a small project). Since yesterday the program continuously loops in different context (page number setting, page master applying, copy and paste of text on different pages...) It's became impossible to use it... Who can help me? Thx P.S.: version is ... .145
  9. Hi, My Affinity Designer keeps crashing on opening PDF files and possibly other files that open with a modal asking for questions first. This is happening since last week with the same files that opened just fine before. I've tried different files but they all make Designer crash. Designer also crashes when I try to export a file and save as an SVG for example. Again, as soon as the "modal" shows, the software crashes. What I've tried: - Uninstall Affinity Designer using AppCleaner, so making sure all associated files are gone, and reinstall from the App store - Launch Designer holding the ctrl key and clear everything, all the boxes were ticked - Open and save different files and file types I've added two crash logs, 1 for opening a pdf file and one for trying to export. I haven't added a file since I tried opening and export a myriad of files both new and a couple years old and they all have the same result. Hope you can help, because Designer is a bit useless to me now since I mostly use it for web-development (opening and exporting vector files): - To export optimized SVG files for the web - To open PDF web-designs to get all font-sizes, line-height, opacity etc. Thanks in advance! export-crash.txt open-crash.txt
  10. Just installed version 1.7.0.145 for Windows on a Win 7 desktop. Worked on a test project for about three hours off-and-on. Opened Help, searched for a topic and minimized. When I realized an hour later that I still had help open, I closed it and got the error that Help had stopped working -- check online for a solution or close program. I chose close and Help closed. After another few minutes, I closed the program using File > Exit and got the same error that Affinity Publisher Beta had stopped working. I chose close and the program window closed. Unfortunately, I didn't capture the information under the error message. If it happens again, I'll capture it. I opened the project again and nothing was missing. I made a slight change, saved, and closed with no error. This did happen once on a previous Beta build, and that project, too, had been on the screen for a few hours before being closed.
  11. if I import an image, use the »vector crop tool« and then try to dublicate this cropped image »affinity publisher« crashes. The same happens if I build a frame and drag a picture (on Layers) into this frame and afterwords try to dublicate this frame, the programme crashes.
  12. I'm not even sure whether this is the correct forum to post this, since it hardly qualifies as a "bug", but: I regularly run CCleaner, especially at the end of a working day. One of the file types it highlights and suggests for deletion is any Memory Dumps/Crash Reports stored on the computer. Several times recently I see CCleaner reporting that .dmp files have been created, either by Affinity Publisher Beta (latest version) or by the included Help files, even though neither app has actually crashed for me. I've tended to ignore these files and simply selected to delete them; APub always opens on the next time of asking, no message about Errors or Crash Reports. However, I wonder whether one of these reports might be useful to the developers in possibly diagnosing why such reports are being created (normally at least one every day) even when Publisher itself is rock-solid and has never, to my knowledge, actually crashed on my machine! Hence, they are attached below. If anyone can suggest why they are being created (in effect it's every time I run APub) I'd be delighted to learn! TIA Jeff Publisher_exe.1652.dmp Help_exe.10536.dmp
  13. Turning on auto hyphenation for selected text in Russian causes application to crash (Affinity Publisher Public Beta - 1.7.0.145).
  14. Hi folks, Just tried to update Affinity Publisher beta from 1.7.0.139 to 1.7.0.145 but update crashed? Downloaded 27mb update then crashed on installing!!! Any advice please? Seem to be stuck on version 1.7.0.139 for now? Regards TonyRS
  15. Affinity Publisher 1.7.0.139 Windows 8 64 bit. Trying to resize a table column width. Highlighted all the rows in the column and selected Auto fit column to contents. Publisher just froze (not responding) This has now happened 6 times. Any ideas please.
  16. Affinity Publisher beta 1.7.0.140 under Mac OS 10.14, crashed with message quit unnexpectedly, after working in a master page, selecting all (cmd+A) and tapping the delete key.
  17. Affinity Publisher 1.7.0.139 on Windows 7 (64bit, German) behaves as follows: Create a new document with a frame text in it and start typing with 'Replace text while typing' switched on (text style is [No Style]). Typing (c) followed by a space auto-corrects into ©. Fine. Typing (C) followed by a space simply stalls the program until eternity, so that it needs to be killed manually. The same is valid for the following combinations: (r) works, (R) crashes. By default, if I enter either (p) or (P), nothing is automatically replaced. I guess wildly that this is because auto-correction of (p) is not mentioned in the German replacement list, so this seems to be OK. Unfortunately, if I manually insert it into the German replacement list, typing (p) properly works, and (P) crashes. By some reason, both (tm) and (TM) work properly. Andreas Weidner
  18. I updated Mac font library to include a new font. Switching back to Publisher, the app had a popup messaging about "updating the font library". I was unable to click anywhere on the app, or cancel said update. It remained like this for several minutes before I forced quit the app. Sorry Id isn't take a screenshot. Didn't think of doing this until after I restarted the program.
  19. I was using Affinity Publisher on my Apple MacBook Air when it crashed. Here's what I was doing: I was creating a 2019 calendar. My first thought was to create a Master Page with a table layout 7 column wide for days of the week plus 6 rows for dates, 1 row for the name of the month, and one for the days of the week; or a total of 8 rows. Once I created the master page, I figured I'd create 12 pages from that master, and edit each page for each month. That didn't work, because I couldn't edit the table on the page. So plan B became edit the master to be the January Master, then copy that to make a new master for February, etc. I created the January Master, created the January Page, copied the January Master and edited it to make a February Master, created the February Page, etc. After I edited the October master to make the November Master, Affinity Publisher crashed (just disappeared completely) when I attempted to create the November page from the November Master. Of course, I hadn't saved my document yet - but the good news is Affinity say it and allowed me to restore it as soon as I restarted it. In fact, the November page had been created correctly, so the error myst have occurred after that. Apple crash dump attached AP CRASH DUMP 9-3-2018 SRB.docx
  20. Had an issue with 128 in 'separated mode' – where each document is in it's own window. Closing one of the three open documents caused Publisher to close down all the other open documents and itself (crash). Have just downloaded 133. Appears the problem remains. Opened three windows/documents, resized one, changed a text box in the second then went to close that second document. Was prompted to save the change first. Did that. Change was saved. Then went to close the document. It closed then Publisher crashed. Not sure if it was the second attempt to close or just a delayed reaction to the earlier/ongoing document close instruction. Also when in 'separated mode' – one document per window – dragging one Publisher document window on top of another also causes Publisher to crash. In recovery mode documents can open with random squares of black showing on the screen. Scrolling or zooming to refresh the screen removes the black squares. Screen grab below.
  21. When I move a big scaled image in a frame AP crashes. That means it take a while, than all guides aren't shown any more although they are activated. When I then close AP I get a crash window.
  22. Hi. Not sure if it's just me. Since I updated Affinity Photo to 1.6.5.123 I've experienced frequent Photo application crashes. My machine is an up to date Win 10 64 bit build with 16GB RAM. Typically Photo crashes within about five minutes and sometimes it's autosaved my work. Is this just me :) Cheers Andy
  23. Hey!I really loved working with Affinity Publisher Beta - I come from Scribus and it's so much better! So I designed a whole magazine and was able to export it to PDF several times. But now I'd like to export the final version - and everytime I click on "Export", it shows me, that there are overflowing frames (I click on Ignore and Continue) and then the Export-screen is shown for half a second and then the whole program crashes. Can I change something, so it won't happen again?Yours (and again: thanks for the awesome program!)Dominik (Sorry, posted it in the wrong topic yesterday) https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/69121-crash-when-you-want-to-export-a-document/
