  1. I chose English as my Affinity Photo UI preferred language. My main OS chosen language, however, is Canadian-French. When I want to access Help from its menu, I get the Canadian-French version, which is not ...helping. Now, I can switch the OS language to English but then the keyboard mapping is all messed up. Any ideas?
  2. I am relatively new to AP and my initial project involves "converting" B&W images to color. I imagine I should be able to proceed by masking an area to work on and follow a workflow that "maps" B&W pixel values to a color range. However I have not been able to identify a tutorial or help post that shows or discusses the workflow / process. and I have to think this has been covered but I'm not searching with the right keywords etc. I would appreciated being pointed to the tutorial or existing discussion of the process / wokflow. Thanks.
  3. Hello. I hope this is the right place to ask this basic question. I'm a photographer, not remotely an illustrator. But need to convert a logo created in Photoshop {sorry, I've bought both your products but haven't learned them yet <g> } to a vector image for silk screening, not something I normally do. Do you have a description of how to do this somewhere that I haven't found or can you give me some guidance? If I did this with Illustrator, I'd first use "Threshold" in Photoshop to turn everything into blacks and whites, then import into Illustrator, select the image, then use Tracing/ High Quality Photo and export as a PNG. It's text plus a photo converted to a silhouette, or will be. What is the process in Affinity design? Should I export the image in JPEG or PSD format? Save out as PNG or other? Thank you in advance. best / jim
  4. I need to be able to take an Affinity Designer Vector Image with many layers and convert it to a SWF File. I also, have Serifs Drawplus x6. I can take a single layer by itself and create an SVG export file. I then, open Drawplus X6 and import it. Works fine, but it can not take any multilayered vector it only see one layer. The purpose for this is to take that vector into Crazytalk Animator 2 so it can be resized. If there is a simpler way of doing it I would appreciate your response. Guy
  5. When importing text boxes from an .ai file, the text comes in as Artistic (stretch the boundary box and the letters change size rather than rearranging themselves to fit as many words as possible within the box's width). Is there a way to convert that type of text into ...and I don't know the term... "regular" text?
