Hallo, um Autoren einen Anhalt zu geben, ist es notwendig, ihnen die Textlängen vorzugeben. In APu habe ich keine Möglichkeit gefunden, diese beispielsweise aus dem Fülltext abzuleiten. Habe ich diese Funktion übersehen? Oder ist daran gedacht, diese Funktion zu implementieren? -
Writing in Arabic letters is in an unnatural distorted form on a program Affinity designer, Not like Photoshop for example. in affinity Letters are broken and inconsistent with each other -
Not impressed! This is the first time I've ever had BSOD on Win10 and Affinity Designer just did it twice trying to dock a pop out menu. Yes I'm using the latest version Yes I can recreate, it happen twice in a row doing exactly the same action. Its' only happened in the one document, but not willing to keep killing my OS just to test that. System details: Windows 10 Pro - latest updates etc. What happened? - It killed my OS and forced a restart, what did I expect... Not that! Steps to recreate: Load document Try to drag pop out tabs for character and paragraph options to be docked around the bottom right corner of the screen The menu will start to stutter, the system will lock up and then the OS will exit to the BSOD forcing a system restart. Screenshots: I could record on my phone but I'd rather not keep blue screening my system unless absolutely necessary. No unusual hardware Did it used to work? - Don't know

Hi Publisher Team, great product of yours! I already bought a license. Just one feature is missing - the "Fit to box" feature, which resizes the font in each line to automatically fit the text box's width as mentioned in this post: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/70240-resize-text-automatically/&do=findComment&comment=363910 It would be great to see this feature in your product so that an effect like in the attached image would be easy - today I need to manually resize every single line to fit the text in properly.

Hello Team ! i believe Affinity Publisher would do better job and be even competitive if you had a possibility to do OCR or Characters recognition on loaded PDF or scanned documents. in fact Publisher should be pair correctly with scanners and have Pro level scan functionalities to allow more Pro to converge or convert to it. There is a capture software called snagit who does that job so why not Publisher ? Hope this helps ! Blessings. -
I have problem by typing directly some characters in a text frame. It is apostroph (') and tilde (~). Apostroph gives (›) instead and I need to type tilde twice (or type once and then spacebar). When I type twice I get two tilde characters. I have checked other characters and everything looks ok. I am using a desktop computer on windows10 and a swiss-french keyboard.

could we please request better vector handwriting support? chinese or japanese characters require much more visual feedback and stroke fidelity than alphabetic characters the vector pencil tool would work if we had an option to hide the nodes until (re)selected, i.e. option to hide automatic node display, as the nodes obscure visual feedback for handwriting the vector brush tool has too much auto smoothing/lag even with no stabiliser enabled, distortion in alphabetic/english handwriting is ‘relatively’ minor (for non-calligraphers) but completely distorts handwritten kanji of normal proficiency (i realise the team might not include a native-speed kanji writer so this might not be an obvious deficiency) hope i am just missing an existing option somewhere… warmest wishes, maki -

To Those That Have The Knowledge: I have a LOGO I'm trying to recreate from scratch in Affinity Designer. Letters W S C Vertically Arranged W S C So That Each Letter overlaps the next. resulting in the letters being intertwined. Attached is a JPEG IMAGE of what I'm trying to accomplish. Hi. I just tried Affinity Designer a month ago, and I was hooked. And last week, I bought a license, not disappointed. I am migrating to the AD now. (Formerly I was a user of the big name vector software for years). Here is the feature request. Since I often use AD for web design, I think it really needs the ability to set the character leading to a relative value (like 1.5x or 1.5em or 150%). So when we change the font size, the leading will also be adjusted. Thanks.

It's what the title says, ability to see markers for tabs, paragraph markers, spaces, line breaks, and so on. Absolutely fundamental for any kind of design using more than a couple of line of text. Thanks! -
From AD "Import and Export file formats", GIF, JPEG, and PNG have an x under the Import column. And above: "Affinity Designer is capable of opening many raster and vector file formats directly." How? -
I´m having a big trouble with brazilian Portuguese special characters like: â, á ã, é, ê and so on. It shows like: ~a or ^e. But if I type really fast it wil show: ~ã or ^ê, There is some way to avoid it or fix it? Hope you can help. -
I stumbled across a problem. I used the text tool in AD to create some special characters with fill and stroke, but when I wanted to go back to write some other text, I couldn't get rid of what I had added, so all the text came out garbled as it was a smaller size and the stroke just messed it up. I have chosen no stroke but to no avail. It continued even when I started a new project. What gives? -
