Odd thing just happened (AD 1.5.1.43 Win7)... Drew a curve Made a clone Flipped it horizontally Aligned the start nodes Attempted to join them And the whole lot vanishes! I've erased the rest of the drawing leaving just the two curves, and this behaviour happens repeatedly. File attached - try selecting the top centre nodes where the curves touch and joining. If I tamper with the file in almost any way (such ad adding a new object to the canvas) then the curves join correctly. What is going on? Have just loaded the file into 1.5.0.36 Retail and the behaviour is different... here the curves remain, but do not join. The Vanishing.afdesign -
With the UI language set to 'English (United Kingdom)', the Colour panel is correctly labelled but the dropdown list of categories in the Swatches panel offers a choice between 'Grays', 'Colors' and 'Gradients' instead of 'Greys', 'Colours' and 'Gradients'. -
Hey everyone, just updated to beta 3, having Mac osx high Sierra beta. The issue appear when creating few layers, objects, changing the colours from swatches of the objects, after that can't drag or move anything under layers tab. If close and reopen, it works again but not for long. P.S so the issue arise only when there is a custom created palette, if I import this palette as document palette, and create shapes -> colour from this palette, then everything under layers tab is freeze. PS2. so I imported the palette as document palette to AD 1.5 and encountered the same behaviour, so I think it has something to do with palette itself which I created in AF 1.6 beta 2. -

The app keeps crashing or takes a really long time to react when using the refine selection tool on my iPad Pro 9,7. I have to close the app every time. Will this be fix anytime soon? -

You have to 'Show Grid' then can 'Show Guides'. Cannot show only guides while turn grid off. Just try my file to see the bug. This file has been created by the store version. Thanks :) test_Guide.afdesign

When drawing a 45° angle, the program (understandably) tries to anti-alias. It doesn't matter if I put the vertices on whole pixels or half pixels or somewhere else, each pixel will always end up part white, part black, and thus end up as a grey pixel. However, I'd like to have some lines be aliased, because it keeps a crisper image, like the edited versions on the right. Is there a way to achieve this in Affinity Designer? Aside from manually making the stairstepping for every pixel, of course. I know it's a relatively small issue, but given my background in pixel art, I tend to notice these small things ;) As a sidenote, notice how the grid in the editor doesn't adhere to the grid (despite my zoom level being exactly 800%) - is this a bug, only an issue on my device, or a setting somewhere?

When using hand tool to move around zoomed-in canvas grid and guides lag behind actual pixels. Sometimes it will just stay in its lagged position, until snapping to correct place. Its confusing, please fix it. Another issue thats not visible in gif is that guides are only visible when grid is set to be visible. So guides aren't rendered at all if grid is off.

Hi guys, So, basically the title says it all, AP jitters when zooming/enabling/disabling layers, basically at every click of the mouse AP decides to jitter around. I provided a performance setting and an example in the video below, any suggestion on how to solve it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6DofUr5zp0&feature=youtu.be Please turn on the resolution to 1080p, and no, the preview jitter is not youtube fault, is far more apparent on my screen when working with AP yeah I don't know hot to post a youtube link since it gets deleted so I just attached a .txt file with the link inside, no it's not spam, no it's not ads AP preview jitter bug.txt -
Fui testar a versão trial do Photo, assim como testei, aprovei e adquiri uma licença do Designer, mas ao executar a primeira tarefa utilizando a ferramenta Borracha me deparei com um erro que fechou meu projeto. Voltei para o Photoshop no mesmo momento. :( -
Hi there I requested a trial 2 days ago and received the link, but didn't actually download it until today. However, upon opening it I got a message saying my trial had expired. 10 days has definitely NOT passed, as I didn't even come onto the website until 2 days ago. I have a Mac that is running OS 10.12.3 It seems a few other people have had this problem but I wanted to make it absolutely clear that 10 days have not passed, and I don't have an old OS. Is this fixable? -

Loving Affinity Photo 1.5! Couple of little bugs, one is rather annoying. I can have an image open, and go off to do something else (switch accounts, sleep Mac) and when I come back the image isn't visible, it's all black. Layers and such are all there but the image isn't visible. I can close the image and reopen and it comes back just fine. I've attached a screenshot that might better explain what I'm seeing. Wish I could be more specific on what causes this but it's happened several times.

When I rename a symbol in the Symbol panel, the new name does not propagate to instances of the symbol already on the page. Also, could renaming and deleting be brought inline with other conventions within Designer... Click the name in the Symbols panel to rename Rename inline rather than a modal box Select in Symbols panel and hit Delete key to delete Thanks for your consideration.

Hi, A lot of times when I use the texttool Affinity Designer starts getting really slow and sometimes just stops responding. This almost always happens when I want to change the content of an existing text-object. Any fixes for this? -
Hello everyone, So even with the latest beta that you just uploaded, I am still able to reproduce the issue and lock me out of affinity designer. Steps to reproduce ( WARNING: This will make your A.D. unusable! ) : WARNING 2: Now even after reinstall, delete of all folder including AppData's affinity one, the software will crash all the time! - Unzip my file & Open AD - Import swatches - Import icons (assets) - Try to open the affinity design file "palette" You will have the crash message, once you restart the app you will have the same message again. Hope you can do something, I have many crashes with affinity designer while using swatches + assets, most of the time it leads to AD being unusable and me having to delete the designer app folder which is a huge pain... Best regards PS: ( This happens on every single version I could get my hands on. ) EDIT: Included the crash report. Hello, I have an urgent request: Affinity Photo, as good as it is, should handle a software crash and being able to recover even unsaved projects. I already lost hours of work because of this missing feature. I use Lightroom as main raw developing software (AP isn't that good yet tbh) and link it to Affinity Photo, so the edited product when I close Photo will be in Lightroom for the final touches. Except when Affinity Photo decides to crash for no good reason (like while making a selection)... then everything done in Photo is lost instantly. I expect that when I restart Affinity Photo it tells me "sorry I crashed but I am able to recover the last projects you were working on if you wish so and tell my developers what happened so that they can fix me". Hey there, I think it would be useful to have different subforums for bugreporting for each software. At the moment, e.g. bugs for AD and AP are both reported in one subforum although there are even subforums for Bugs on Windows and Bugs on Mac. One level more would give a more clear/tidy overview. Hey there, it would be nice to have a prefilled template for reporting bugs when clicking the Start a new Topic button in the related subforums. The people then have a rough guide to pass the right/better information you (Serif) need to solve the described bug. It is a very common pattern used across software support forums that are heavily customer driven. E.g., I remember last time when reporting bug I forgot to mention the version of AD. This could've been helpful in the first place. Greetings, Johannes

Hi all ! So glad i found this awesome software and i already love it ! :) So much stuff is handled much better than in PS so i am definitely switching over :) I do have one issue which is a bit annoying. At first my work area was a bit yellow, so i changed the profile and then it was all good. BUT, when i import a photo, it gets totally messed up and pick up a yellow hue. :/ Once i export the photo everything is good, but inside AD it looks like this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/40227395/PREW/ss.jpg I am posting a screenshot so you can see how image looks normally (on the right) Also, i am using this color profile both in AD and in standard windows settings: Samsung - Natural Color Pro 1.0 ICM Tnx in advance ! Hello, I'm using my Designer beta copy for a work and played with the text tools. Things were going fine when I ended with a weird behavior lately. I don't know if I changed a setting somewhere but when I want to create a new text I get some unreadable characters... I almost see a line instead of each characters that I type (See the screenshot). If I copy/paste another text it seems to work but for the moment when I create a new one I've got this :( I saved my file and opened it in both the beta and the regular version of designer and it shows the same "bug". So it might not be a "display" problem... I posted here (in beta section) but it could be a bug in the main dev tree too... My mac is a Retina MBP 15 mid 2012 with Mac OS X 10.12.3 ! Before creating this post I tried to find similar discussion but it seems that there is none or I couldn't find it so any help would be welcome ;) Thanx

On Mac (don't know if also windows) the guides manager some times when I try to open it, appears but then disappears and it's impossible to bring it back. Need to restart Affinity to show again. This happens a lot when Affinity is in full screen but sometimes also in normal window mode.
