  1. Frosted Glass with Affinity Photo I saw an Adobe Photoshop tutorial similar to this, so I thought I would try it in Affinity Photo. It is a frosted glass look. https://youtu.be/411eLqLJXA8
  2. Hello. I'm trying to recreate some Photoshop actions in Affinity Photo and I'm having a problem with Blend Options in Affinity. Could someone explain to me how to translate Photoshop's "Blend If" into Affinity Photo's "Blend Options"? A specific example in the screenshots below. I tried importing a simple PSD project with this very setting on one of the layers, but it didn't work. The setting Photo reproduced was quite bizzare (created many nodes and pushed them all to the bottom of the Source Layer matrix, making the object/layer invisible). I would love some help. Is it possible to translate this setting to produce the exact same result in Photo?
  3. Pop Up Affinity Photo Tutorial This is a pop up photo manipulation, but I thought I would change it up by adding some floating graphics from the background. The tutorial uses shapes, geometry, blend ranges (blend-if) perspective and more. This Digitally Fearless Affinity Photo tutorial was requested by one of my subscribers. https://youtu.be/z1_drshbedo
  4. Transparent glass in minutes. Digitally Fearless Affinity Photo beginner video tutorial on how easy it is to use blend options (blend-if) to make transparent glass. This tutorial also uses curves and liquify. https://youtu.be/PI4pz5RqrWQ
  5. Hello, I often use "blend if" in photoshop. I use it to convert a draw to coloring page or blend two images based on color. Does Affinity Photo have this feature ? Thanks !
  6. I just watched this video comparing Affinity Photo, Photoshop and Photo RAW's advanced blending capabilities. PS has Blend IF, PR uses a combination of features and our dear AP, of course, has Blend Options. Although the author declared that no one approach is better than the other, I disagree; it's clear that you can do much more with Blend Options than you can with Blend If. I've watched several tutorials using Blend Options, but none of them touch the curve in the right panel. That's the only panel used in this tutorial, and what you can do with it is pretty cool. I've attached a file containing the layers he uses in the video so you can play along. Now that I know how to use Blend Options to simulate Blend If, many of the PS Blend If tutorials available from the same author are accessible to AP lovers. 7. It would be useful to be able to preview which areas are affected, essentially as if the blend curves were a regular alpha mask. I'm talking about offering the standard mask display options, like as a BW image, quick mask overlay, marching ants and so on. Another useful display mode for displaying masks, which is currently not supported, would be the content being masked composited on 50% gray, like most video color grading programs offer.
  8. Have been using PS for ten years and now looking for an alternative to their CC "Credit Card" product. Does Affinity Photo have the ability to do adjustments like PS's "Blend If" sliders in their "Layer Style" dialogue? Thanks.
