I use Topaz B&W, V2.1.1 as a plug-in in for Affinity Photo, version 1.7.3.481. The issue is that if I select a style e.g. Stylized collection, Painterly color in Topaz B&W and click o.k. to go back to Affinity Photo, the result in Affinity looks different as in Topaz B&W. The Painterly style is less strong in Affinity as it looks in Topaz B&W. What do I wrong?

I`d like to have the ability to change a view (similar to contour view) but in black and white to check the contrast. I have tried with a B&W layer, but I have to adjust the brightness of individual colors. In the left side is how works this function in photoshop, in the right is with a b&W layes, as you can see the brightness do not correspond to the colors. Thanks

A friend of mine the other night said he wanted a tattoo of a tattered black and white American flag. Watching the Superbowl I started a little design work. Here is what I came up with. BTW I really want to buy all the brushes that are available in the store, might make life a little easier

Hi, I'm searching for a good step-by-step-tutorial explaining how to colourize ancient b&w images. Unfortunatedly I found only photoshop tutorials but none for affinity photo? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks Georg

Hi, I'm quite disappointed about the B&W. Usually, I put blue and cyan as black in roder to get a black sky. The green and yellow are forced to white. This works fine, Unfortunately, it seems that Affinity puts a blur on small details as tree leaves and grass. It is important because these details are the ones that are yellow and green. When I use other tools, I do not have this level of blur. Thanks for help Hervé Ramboz

Had a play with the HDR feature. I loaded 5 Pentax RAW files. Once Affinity had finished processing, I selected the high contrast black and white option. So far, so good. I then applied the Dodge brush to emphasise a line of mist in the landscape. If I then export to jpeg and resize the image, I end up with some cyan dots near, but not under where I used the brush. (jpeg quality 95%). This doesn't happen when not re-sizing, and when I didn't first use the dodge brush. If I recall correctly the problem remained even after I had gone back on the History tab to before using the Dodge brush. I tried to attach the original sized jpeg - not sure if it attached or not

I am relatively new to AP and my initial project involves "converting" B&W images to color. I imagine I should be able to proceed by masking an area to work on and follow a workflow that "maps" B&W pixel values to a color range. However I have not been able to identify a tutorial or help post that shows or discusses the workflow / process. and I have to think this has been covered but I'm not searching with the right keywords etc. I would appreciated being pointed to the tutorial or existing discussion of the process / wokflow. Thanks.

Hi, Could i request a shortcut to be added to reset the color swatch back to Black & White like it is in PS. The shortcut for that is D. If we have one already can you please let me know what it is? :) Thanks!

I'm hoping I'll have more luck with this question regarding Affinity Photo. Has anyone tried refining a selection after you've added a B&W layer to your photo? Looks like the red overlay becomes B&W too and to my eyes it's hard to tell where the mask begins and ends. I try to disable the B&W layer, but then the mask disappears. I have to exit refine selection and click again on Refine on the top toolbar and then I get my red overlay back. To the developers - 1. Was this the intended behaviour - at least the part where overlay also becomes B&W? 2. Are you able to recreate the disappearing overlay issue when you switch off the B&W layer? This surely must be a bug.
