Hi guys Around a year ago I have to change the country on Apple Store and I have contacted Apple because I have a lot of paid app for Mac and iPhone and she as tells me if I have that app on the device the apps still have the updates. I have checked the last version of Affinity Designer and my version is oldest that on Apple Store, why my Affinity isn't updated like before?

I'm new to Affinity and just started with the Beta Testing on Windows. Between work and personal use though, I have Mac and Windows computers and would like to know if there would be a way to just make the one purchase. I know that's done with other software because it just keeps the keys or matches to which computer it's on, but don't know if that is offered with you guys. If you have to buy software for windows and mac separately, is there at least a bundle?

Since Apple stop support pro-user software, you are my hope now :) . Affinity Designer and Photo are amazing. Now i read you develop a DAM Solution. That's really amazing. 1. Apple Aperture is the best picture managing software for pro user i ever found and used. Use it for inspirate the affinity DAM software. Clever Keywords with drag and drop, very fast filepreview, dynamic intuitive GUI are only some great features of Aperture. Another great little fast tool is Pixa. But Aperture is no more supported and Pixa have missing features. Now you are the hope for Pro-Users. 2. Must have: Offline no-Cloud solution for Companys with sense of security. i am so exiting, let me know when beta is out :D Great job!!!

Hi Guys, We are looking to replace Photoshop across the board at all our offices with Affinity Photo. We are having trouble doing volume purchasing for our staff in India via Apples volume purchase program. Is there any way for us to buy licenses directly from Affinity, or anywhere else other than the App Store. If we volume buy licenses in the Australian or US app store will they be legally O.K. for use in india, or should be buy licenses some other way for these staff. Cheers Ben

Would be really nice to be able to copy/past Apple Numbers spreadsheet tables into Affinity Designer. Right now it is pretty rubbish, and If I want to get a table pasted into Affinity Designer I need to Copy from Apple Numbers, Paste into Adobe Photoshop, export as PSD, import PSD into Affinity designer. I say Apple Numbers because the table design tools are the best there is, fast easy and very good quality. This would negate Affinity Designer having to get too involved in creating its own table designer, In Design tables are trash also, but I can copy/paste from Apple Numbers. Thanks,

I think it would be nice to have integration with Apple Photos. I believe that Apple offers an option for plugins , so perhaps by clicking a plugin icon we can open the image in Affinity. So, it would be nice to use Apple Photos for importing and navigation and do editing in Affinity. Right now I have to export the files ( not a big deal ) and then work on them. Initially, I disliked Apple Photos because it seemed to me rudimentary , however recently I have been testing it against other Raw editors including Lightroom ( horrible rendition of color at least for NEF ) and Capture One ( surprisingly Apple Photos handles color almost as good as Capture One, capture One has excellent Shadow and Highlight recover and Clarity filters , other than that I am happy with Apple Photos )

Just reporting this here, as I didn´t see mention of it yet, nor found any thread about it in this forum. I half expect the issue to be well known already though, so this is just in case it´s not. I just noticed: when I set the RAW Engine to Apple (Core Image RAW), then open a RAW file, almost nothing shows up, but something either like an all black or a transparent canvas. It usually does not look like the correct size either, more like 4/3, but that aside. When I set RAW Engine back to Serif Labs, then reopen the same file, the image displays as usual. I checked only with files from two of my favourite cameras at this moment, a Sony A900 and a Fujifilm X-Pro1. Both show the same mishap but I didn´t check any other.

I am brand new to Affinity Photos and El Capitan... I have been using Lightroom and been thinking of switching to Photos.. just to simplify my life... I like what I have seen with AP...however I cannot seem to use it as an extension in Photos.... Is it possible? Apple support seems to think it is not possible...

All of a sudden my Affinity Photo (purchased via the Apple App Store) stopped working. It opens but then locks up on the main splash screen. I have to force quit. I've restarted the computer, deleted and reinstalled Affinity Photo, but it's still bad. I'm using 10.11 Beta (15A234d). Are there know issues with Photo on the beta?

After the recent popularity of my flat icon tutorial, I decided to start a tutorial series focusing on the principles of flat design. In this first tutorial, I focus on basic shapes and flat colors. As an example, I walk through how to make a flat iMac icon like I posted before. To view the tutorial, click here. Hope you like it!

One of the things that really bugged me about my PS / LR workflow is the way that Photos would get passed back and forth between the two apps. With a typical workflow you start with a Photo in LR and then need to send it to PS to do something that LR can't do. LR makes a copy of the photo so when you are done editing it you now have two similar photos in your library. If you decide you want to edit the photo again you now have three copies and then four etc. The way this operation should really work is you make an adjustment in Apple's upcoming Photos app, say move the brightness to 27, and then when you export the file to Affinity Photo it uses the same photo instead of a copy of the photo. You should then see your brightness adjustment of 27 in Affinity Photo and then be able to make an adjustment to the brightness again to 15 which should then show up in the settings to Apple's app as you return back to it. I can understand some of the reasons why Adobe's workflow was clumsy, they were trying to get a 17 year old app to work with a brand new app after all. But now that both Apple and Affinity are both starting out at version 1 and at essentially the exact same time let's try and get the way this works under control. I disagree with many people on this forum that Adobe's photo solution works pretty well I think there is a huge opportunity for taking on Adobe in this area.
