Hello, good morning. I have bought Affinity for Windows because I have Windows on my computer at home. But i will buy a Mac soon, is there an option to download Affinity for Mac also, if I already have a product code? If not it's really a shame that I have to pay for a Windows version, and pay also for a Mac version. Regards. -
Hi to the dev. team. Is there any solution for the problem I've encountered? I can't export the invites I laid out to pdf. You can see the dialog box appeared when I've tried exporting it. (refer to screen shot please) For a brief background on the work, it's only a one page lay out, the design is done separately and I laid them again (4 copies) to fit them in an A4 size paper for exporting. The saying "Estimated File Size:" , just gave me " Calculating for almost 7 minutes to 10 minutes. Your quick response will be appreciated. I'm using Affinity Designer for Windows (Win10)

The Save History with Document is a brilliant function, that allows to screencast and build clean making-ofs. I noticed though that there's a cap around the hundreds or so; the first steps in the list disappear progressively. On purpose?

Hi, I bought affinity photo on July 8th, and everytime I open it up it shows affinity photo 1.5 I was wondering if I already have this? And if not how do I download it? Thanks in advance -
Hi guys, i have a little problem with Affinity: In my job i have to convert lots of pictures. I switched to Affinity since photoshop is way to expensive. Affinity is great but one thing realy nervs. Converting the DPI of pictures! - The function about the size-task (strg+alt+I) does not work. Ok, i already got this one. Change the size first. Finally, under "File / Data-file" you have to go to the "export-picture" mode, klick on "more" and deactivate the Meta-Data button and it will save your DPI-Setting. When will it work without this intermediate step? Please Affinity, solve this! Now my main question since i know how to do it with single pictures: - Is there any way to do batch processing with changing the DPI as well? - I tried to with generating my own macros. But when recording the macro and deactivating the Meta-Data (see above mentioned solution for single pictures) it says "cannot record". At last the converted pictures do not change dpi when i use batch prozessing. - I have hundreds of pictures with the same ground-settings (cmyk, 300dpi, size about 18x12cm and tiff). I can't do the batch processing at all, also not for the other settings, if i have to export the pictures again for my dpi setting. I hope anyone can help me with this matter. Also hope you understand everything since my english is not that good. Thanks in advance + Brg! -
Hello, I have been waiting with excitement for the Affinity BETA to come out on windows. After opening Affinity, i was not convinced. I really got this "not bad" feeling.. This is because of 1 main issue; i don't like the user interface. Functionally speaking, its great. It beats photoshop in my opinion. But its not even close to what i had hoped for.. I am a big fan of "minimalism" and "flat" design, not just for its looks, but for the overall experience. I came accross a photoshop redisign made by Aurélien Salomon on Behance: https://www.behance.net/gallery/19600227/Photoshop-redesign This is how a modern and new photo editor app/program, in my opinion, should look like. Design is contantly evolving, so the tools that are used to create design should be designed with this in mind. My suggestion: create an user interface that works with templates. Give the user control of how Affinity looks like. What would be better then an editor that by itself gives inspiration to create more beautifull & smart designs?

Hey guys, just want to gather some experiences from people who might be using this software as a substitute for Photoshop on the go digital painting wise...and an idea on if it's worth the investment or not. since the release of the iPad Pro version i have been constantly looking through sites and forums for peoples experiences and the usual outcome is critical praise along the lines of a great substitute for PS but usually based off of the perspective from someone who used it with editing photos and not so much with illustration & painting. Basically my Cintiq is down and much of my work has fallen onto the iPad pro i'm not too interested in Astropad and i do have Mediabang and Procreate but both are always lacking many functions i love from using Photoshop i love concept art, texturing, sprite-work and animating so i'd absolutely love anyone else's input on personal experiences before i make the jump. Hello to everyone! I am going to buy LENOVO MiiX 510-12ISK, 8GB, 256GB, 4G, Windows 10 Professional 64. I will use it for creating vector illustrations in Affinity Designer with Lenovo Active Pen. The question is: will it work well? Maybe anybody has tested this device with Affinity Designer? By the way, I couldn't find Lenovo Active Pen in my country (I live in Russia), only on Aliexpress - should I order the pen there? -
Hey Folks How can i warp a text in affinity designer . Comon apple one simple and fundamental feature like this is missing and everyone asks about it for 2 years now . even corel draw used to have it 15 years ago . I wanna warp a text create a flag I am not even talking about those complex features that Illustrator offers . -
Hi I make vector brushes for Illustrator and am thinking of branching out to make some for Affinity Designer. I followed a video tutorial on how to make Affinity brushes and it seems to be that they have to made from PNG file source material. I'm a little confused by this as a PNG does not contain vectors. Does Affinity Designer somehow convert them to vectors or am I missing something/doing something wrong? Any help would be gratefully received! Thanks, Jeremy -
I have had the trial version of Affinity for several days now. I can't seem to find where you offer any frames, the stuff you can add to a photo. Is there any in Affinity? More important is this question. Does Affinity have an ORGANIZER to which I can upload images from my camera to Affinity? Or, do I have to use Affinity only as a second software application for editing? Thanks for any help. -

Hello, I have Affinity Design and am thinking of purchasing Affinity Photo, but I have one question. Is Affinity Photo compatible with other programs like adobes photoshop? I need to edit documents on photoshop for school, but was wondering if I could do my work in Affinity Photo at home, then send the doc as a PNG, or JPEG etc to the school which has photoshop? thanks :) -

I the moment I use Photoshop to produce my templates I am looking for an alternative, as I do not want to keep paying subscriptions, so I am now looking at other software Can you please advise if the following can be done with Affinity software: I need to modify pictures, cut out, remove background resize I need to Copy layer from one file to a new one I need to produce each part of my template to an exact size (pixels) I need to place each part to an exact position from top left corner (xy coordinate) I need to Export different layers to .png files -
I am a long-time Xara user. It is a Windows only program (Although there is a Linux version that hasn't been updated in ages.) and it is super simple to use. One of the things that I like about Xara is you can just select an object on a page, like a 720 x 90 ad banner on say a 1200 x 800 page and then export it as a png file and it only exports the banner, not the entire page. I have found that with Abobe Illustrator and now Affinity, the only way that you can export an item is to create a file that is the exact side of the object you want to export. Otherwise, when you export, it exports everything on the page. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but is is possible for me to just a select object to export or do I need to create a new file that is the same size as the item I want to export? -
Recently bought Affinity photo and been using it to edit RAW photos taken on my Nikon D3100. No problems when looking at photos in camera or in affinity. Just upgraded to a Nikon D750 and found that when i open the photos in Affinity they are much much darker and extremely washed out compared to when viewed in camera. Does any one know how to fix this difference that Affinity is showing?? -

Thank you all for the hard work. Here is a short list of things I'd like to see. I have mentioned a couple before, a few are new but other may have already mentioned them. Node alignment Line erase and trim to line (different that knife or node split tools) Draw shapes on selected axis (ellipses, etc) Eye dropper to copy paste all or some properties of object Callouts (great for parts lists). Perhaps this can be part of the arrowhead feature. Auto numbering would be an awesome bonus. An ai/PS export that works. ;-)

I use these forums quite a bit to discover how to use Affinity better. These forums however… I'm not sure what is powering them, I guess InVision? I think this is a sub par experience for a number of reasons: - Does not respond effectively to mobile devices - login/lout out is clunky and I often loose my session and have to re-login - Feels super old This last point is hard to nail down but should be fairly apparent. It feels like using a bbs/phpbb form from 2002~ish. There are a lot of great tools for managing communities and forums and as someone who used to work with clients who used InVision is not a good option.
