That's something I reported times (years) ago, but nothing happend so far! - In the stroke panel the miter label (german: "Gehrung") covers the corner selection button type selection and thus makes it pretty difficult (sometimes impossible) to select the underlayed selection button. screencast.mp4 Either make the stroke panel wider or abbreviate the localized label entry. - This affects all Affinity versions (ADe, APh, APu), I can't believe this still isn't fixed in the actual Affinity v1.8.4/v.1.8.6 line!

Double clicking on the primary or secondary colors crashes, exiting to desktop (like it does when clicking on the Daub "bristle" brush category, reported in other thread). It happens in the two places you could do that, as shown in the screenshots. I have just installed a 3060, with nvidia studio drivers, before installing Affinity suite v2. Other apps are not crashing while doing this, though (it appears it is when it calls the color dialog box). Tested disabling OpenCL, but it also crashes. Affinity Photo 2.0.0. One feature of version 2 of AP bothers me mightily and is just annoying. When I have loaded AP with a picture and I have minimised it in the dock, I can no longer open it with a single click but always have to right-click on a file name in the history list.

I am a new user to Affinity Pro 2 and I am trying it out as an alternative to Photoshop. I just finished downloading the app on my windows computer. Anytime I try to open a photo of any type the program goes “not responding” and eventually crashes. This happens no matter what type of photo I open or where it’s located on my computer. I’ve tried resetting the app multiple times, I’ve tried updating my computer, I’ve tried restarting the computer multiple times, and nothing seems to work. -

Hey! Ich habe letztens eine Stapelverabeitung durchgeführt und musste leider feststellen, dass das Bild nach der verarbeitung dunkler geworden ist. Ich habe aber keine Idee woran das liegen könnte. Ich habe als Macro nur einen automatischen Weißabgleich festgelgt der im einzelnden die Bilder aber nicht dunkler gemacht. Testweise habe ich die Stapelverarbeitung auch kommplett ohne Macros durchlaufen lassen, mit dem selben Ergebnis. Hat jemand eine Idee wo das Problem liegen könnte? Viele Grüße Twoltin -

I used AI to create a vector image, but when i import it into affinity I see hairline white gaps between each shape, which are also apparent when then saving it as a png or jpg. The gaps don't seem to be there in AI, so is it an export issue with AI or something with affinity thats doing it? Tried exporting from AI as both svg and pdf. Cheers! -
So using the "Insert Fill Text" has resulted in an interesting occurrence of the word "Cum" being added in the text. Using Insert Fill Text seems to repeat this occurrence frequently. Apologies if this is in the wrong section P.s. perhaps this could be called "lorem oopsum". Edit: for clarification there are several reasons for this post. 1: According to what I found "cum" was not originally included with lorem ipsum so I was unsure if this was supposed to be included here. 2: Using the Insert Fill Text option is a great help and saves time except when it includes something like is mentioned and you are working on something for an audience that would not be impressed by such. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an option for removing given words from the Insert Fill Text option and you cannot edit the filler text so you then have to go get it from somewhere else. Its not the end of the world by any means however it is ultimately more time consuming.

Can't seem to view this image properly in designer or photo, don't have publisher installed but I'm assuming the same issue. The image shows fine in other viewers. It's an official press image file.

Inspired by the vinyl record centre label posted on Sunday I thought I have a go at trying to create a reasonably-decent vinyl LP. It’s not perfect by any means but it’s probably usable for most general one-off at-a-glance cases. I haven’t measured anything so the proportions are probably a bit off but it’s just for fun. (It looks a bit ‘smudgey’ at some viewing angles on my monitor so I don’t know how it will look for you.)

Out of curiosity, I've dug out Version 3 of Knoll Light Factory, that was originally supplied with a Serif Photoplus bundle. Although it's installed, Affinity Photo doesn't recognise the plugin. Does anyone know if it's compatible with AP, and if so, how did you get it to work? (All my other plugins Like Nik Collection and Topaz Labs work fine) Thanks -
Affinity Photo 2 macOS By pressing ctr + alt and dragging vertically and horizontally I can change the size and hardness of the brush. At one point, this behavior changed. The same keys served to modify the spacing and shape. I don't know how it changed. Closing the file and reopening it returned the modifier to its original behavior: from spacing and shape to size and hardness. Hi everyone, I’m fairly new to the iPad version of Affinity Photo. Is it possible to disable Anti-Aliasing for creating shapes? Being completely honest Affinity Photo for iPad seems like a great candidate for Pixel Art but that is getting in the way. -

The most I love application from Affinity is Affinity Publisher. I don't know much about Affinity Publisher like what it does and how it does. The only one reason I love about is It can open Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. It is so much simple and very helpful. However, When I open Affinity Designer, for example, I notice there is called Pixel Persona and Export Persona but cannot see those when opening in Affinity Publisher. Just want to know whether there are differences between opening those application by itself and opening through Affinity Publisher.

Hi, I wonder if you can help with an Affinity Photo v2 issue I am having... I am using Affinity Photo v2.1.0 I have been trying to amend a brush, then save it as a Duplicate, which I have done in v1 many times. But v2.1.0 won't duplicate the brushes that I create, so I can't save the new versions of the brushes. I am in an unsaved, new document. I am in the Edit Brush dialog box. I can duplicate a brush if I am not in the Edit Brush dialog box, but then I can't make the changes I want to make to the brush. I attach the documents, also the screengrabs. i can reproduce it as it happens every time I make changes to a brush and try to save it as a Duplicate. i am using Windows 11. I am just using a mouse, no tablet. What I do when it happens... I select the brush in the Brushes panel Right-click the one I want Click Edit Brush The Edit Brush dialog box is displayed Then I make the changes to the brush, add a bitmap, edit the bitmap, turn off Sync Spacing and Sync Size, then when I try to Duplicate it, I find that it does not duplicate the brush and I have lost all the changes because I cannot save them. Hi, I've checked around the forum and I've seen this question come up before, so I'll mention it again. Can we please have the ability to have "Save History with Document" as a default in app preferences. I like to have my history saved with my work so I can backtrack if I don't like something in the future, and often forget to click it before I save. Thanks!- 7 replies

When painting quick strokes with my Wacom (Intuos 3) I experience some unwanted straight strokes (as if shift button was pressed in between) and after a few ones the pointer gets stuck on the brush circle and the full interface, except the canvas where I can keep painting, becomes unresponsive. Keyboard shortcuts seem to work. Some times pressing Alt button "revive" the app, otherwise I have to make AP windows inactive some way. Conditions for this to occur seem to be: There are plenty of layers in the document (or at least the more the easier) Tablet Input Method is set to High Precision The problem doesn't occur setting input method to Low Precision and Windows Ink. Affinity Photo 2.10 (and previous versions) on Windows 10. High Precision.mp4 .

In Affinity Photo my studio windows and panels disappeared, and I already checked if I had hidden the studio, but I didn't. Then I tried to just reset the studio but no luck there either. Could someone please help me? Thanks in advance. -

When I load the attached TIFF file into AP 2.1.0, I only see black. However, this file has an alpha channel, and it should appear like a fuzzy black blob on a transparent background. I would expect that transparency to look like a checkerboard, like I see when loading the file in Photoshop.MetalPaint.tiff Please refer to the discussion here: -
Hello, When I load the attached tiff into macOS Preview or Photoshop, I see a transparent background. When I load it in AP it shows solid black. How do I get it to show the transparency?
