Greetings to All, Here is a picture of the moon to be included in my montage of moon phase images in colour. This image is short listed to be included in my montage of moon phase images in colour. All image processing was done in Affinity Photo (excellent program!) For those who are interested: The colour saturation was obtained in a 5 stage process (5 adjustment layers) of gradually increasing levels of colour saturation. This colour saturation process will amplify colour noise so one must start with a "low noise image. The low noise image was obtained by stacking 15 images (noise averaging - Greek letter Mu) to give about 4x improvement. For crescent images we might try stacking 25 images for an improvement of x5. I am trying to find a logical explanation for the green light over the craters. Regards, Jeremy.

Hi I have a feature request for a gradient tool to be added to Pixel persona or Affinity photo. Attached I show you how this tool could work. Adding multiple gradients on a pixel layer. Before I switched to Affinity, I used this tool all the time. I miss it a lot. It would be very nice if you could add this feature. Happy new year 😊 Best regards Gradienttool.mkv -
Small thing, but it bugs me: how can I get predictable results when I want to apply a precise pattern pixel size? For example, if I create a square pattern and set it to 50 pixels, and enable a 50-pixel basic grid, the pattern must be just a sliver larger than because the pattern and the grid do not stay in alignment - the pattern appears to be ever so slightly larger over the course of a few dozen grid lines. Is there some trick where I have to adjust the file settings (resolution?) to get these to cooperate? Is this a bug? -

Currently, when I add a (child) adjustment layer, it appears in a collapsed position. I would like to add an adjustment layer in expanded position automatically. AP2 Thank you. -
AF Photo crashes when using NIK plug-ins. Problem shows when I am using and manipulating control points in the NIK plug-in. It is most common when using the Dfine 2 plug-in, but can happen with other plug-ins as well. The crash does not produce a debug file, nor is there any restore point. After multiple crashes, I've given up and reverted to using an old version of Photoshop to get the work done. Version: 1.9.1.179 Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 20H2 Installed on 2020-08-01 OS build 19042.804 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, Driver 457.51 Crash occurs when Hardware Acceleration is either on or off. I've tried both. Plug-in image window functions in a more stable manner when hardware acceleration is off.

Just downloaded 2.1beta and tested my ongoing problem with AF unsharp mask. (Scan small stamp at 6,400dpi, open in AF, straighten, resize to 300dpi without resample, and then filter/unsharp mask at 30,1.8,0. Still getting the artifacts reported with first version (and all others) of 2.0 Affinity Photo (1.10.6) still works as expected, so I am still using that version. AF 2.1.afphoto -
Attached is a PDF explaining how the key tonal correction tools in Affinity Photo work. I previously had some confusion about exactly what each tool or adjustment did, both in the Photo and Develop Personas of Affinity Photo. My searches made it clear I wasn't alone. For example, what is the difference between Exposure and Brightness in the Develop Persona? I've answered that question and more in the attached PDF. I spent a full day playing with the main tonal correction tools in the Photo and Develop personas of Photo v 2.0.4. I now understand what each tool does. More importantly, I know which tools I plan to use in each persona and why. This exercise cleared up a lot of confusion for me, so I thought I'd write up my findings and share it. I started work on a photo in AP (v2.0.3) and then needed to work on a vector overlay so selected Edit in Designer... which launched Designer and then displayed this error message. Any idea how to interpret it? Neither application shows any of the file I was working on so is my previous work now lost?

Hello, im trying to use my graphics tablet with Affinity Photo. It recognizes the pen and i can erase with it or click on things but the brush tool isn´t working. It worked for am moment and stoped, i tried turning on and of Windows Ink but it didn´t change anything. In Affinity Designer everything works fine. -

Photo_A7oIL2ISYx.mp4 I uploaded the video it just happened now AGAIN 😭, Ctrl + Alt + left mouse does it weired thingy again now am forced to work with Krita "am not a robot the UI is frustrating 😒" since PS is a lagging Piece of **** Also while working on AFPhoto It does a weired hanging thingy I can't find the viddeo now "Share X does weired things with videos 😒" it hangs and only allows me to use shorcuts "Not that it bothers me 😎 I know most by heart what I does bother me is when I want to interact with the application to save it frustrating!" Ummm there are 2 solutions that work "wating about 20 mins I swear I don't understand *** Make's it work again" or closing AFPhoto and reopening Now I am installing beta 2.1 and also i read the bug fixes before coming here screen shot I don't think that's my issue though finally it happens with both Huion pen, mouse. I am sure if I used a keyboard with my s-Pen when screen streaming it'll be the same thing

Hello, While I was using the Brush Tool, I need to use the symmetry and I found out that the symmetry can't be snaped to anything center of the canvas or anything.I'm not sure if thats a bug or its just a missing featur, but because of that the tool becomes almost useless if you can't operate it properly. -
Hello: Here's another packaging exercise done in Blender. The can textures were done with Affinity Photo, as well as the final promo images. Also some color retouch and composting of several Blender passes to enhance the render. Let me know if there are any questions. Sharing some of the images of the process. P.D. As the subject says I'm trying to copy a rectangular section of a pixel layer and it creates the impression of there being an extra layer which I didn't create and doesn't appear in the layers panel. For some reason OBS didn't record the popup menus but hopefully the sequence of steps involved can be understood. The source file is a 2048x208px webp image which loads as a locked pixel layer.
