one file with 7 layers only... a merge down command literally made me mad.. I 'm super annoyed. Have reported this issue many times but no update if this such a basic feature you guys will ever support.. or not.. just an ESC button should cancel any command.. Do you think that this Merging is like pressing any key? it takes hell of memory.. I believe I'm quitting using Affinity any more! no more sharing among friends no liking it anymore!. May be this is my last use of Affinity Photo and Designer. I'm a developer I could have done this with 3 lines of CODE.. but i'm super annoyed today that you guys are just not taking this issue serious at all. 😠

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to make a poster similar to Obama's "hope" poster. I've seen a a few tutorials done using photoshop but im reluctant to try those because i know i would get lost eventually trying to follow along on affinity photo. Anywho, does anyone have a good tutorial they could link me? Thank you. If there are none to be found then its ok. i just wanted to try it out. My Favorite learning tool so far have been youtube videos where i can follow along. thanks. -

Hello, I have a quick question. How do I see the objects outside of the canvas? Whenever I drag the object off the canvas I cannot see it anymore. I know about clip/unclip but I don't want the objects clipped onto the canvas. Hope my question makes sense! Thank you!- 8 replies

Hi, this is a Affinity Photo tutorial on YouTube. I shot this photo on a photo walk. It was already autumn, but I show how to create a very colorful changes. I show two methods. So you can choose your workflow. And because there are different layers, you can choose the the colors and the intensity. Have fun and feel free to show your results. Hello , i am trying to add my Parents into nature , but the colors doesnt look good at all, i dunno what to do really, i tried all sorts of hue and sat tutorials but it still look very odd and not realistic , Thank you very much for any words. I'm still fairly new to both astrophotography and Affinity Photo, and although I'm not familiar enough with Photo to attempt all the processing on it, I do use the background removal tool at some stage of the processing on pretty much every image now to help remove or reduce a colour gradient. The four attached images are examples of how this turned out. I sometimes find I can also use the vignetting tool in one form or another to help with luminance gradients. I don't really have a set workflow at the moment and hopefully as my photography techniques improve, I won't have to use trial and error to try to fix the final images.

Hello, in this Affinity Photo tutorial, I show a problem of a shot at dusk after the sunset. There is a low light situation, you have to shot with a high ISO and so ... you will get noise! Hello, I am on Windows 10 Home. All three applications have been installed to C:\Program Files\Affinity\ and were then moved to S:\Program Files\Affinity\ After that, C:\Program Files\Affinity\ has been deleted and replaced with a SYMLINK to S:\Program Files\Affinity\. Yesterday I updated Designer to the latest version. The installer first detected the installed program, deleted it, then deleted the SYMLINK and created a folder Affinity in C:\Program Files\. I then did the move again and relinked the folder, this time using a JUNCTION. Today I installed Photo and Publisher, the same thing happened, the JUNCTION got replaced with a physical folder Affinity in C:\Program Files\, though, the Application was found in S:\Program Files\Affinity before update, since it has been deleted from that folder. The report is true for all three applications, Photo, Designer and Publisher. Thanks and greets, Andreas -

Just thought i'd share a quick edit i've done in Affinity Photo using mainly the Overlay brush in the Develop Persona to target certain areas... Background behind the photo, me and a friend went on a day trip from Nottingham to Bristol to check out the graffiti/street art. Why Lisa has an umbrella up while in a subway, i'm not entirely sure but it made for good snap Its by no means the best photo in the world but i'm happy with the results and looking to get it printed and framed up I've also attached the original RAW file file as well, so feel free to have a play around and share the results _DSC8009.ARW

Let me start by saying that I absolutely love this wonderful feature in Affinity apps: to be able to filter typefaces according to how I organize them in Font Book by collections. However, there's a little bug. Here's what I discovered. In Character panel, when "All Fonts" option is active (by default), every typeface in the list shows up with correct number of fonts in the family. Once any other collection from Font Book, available in that list, is selected, every typeface now shows with two times more fonts. Every weight is being duplicated in the list. So I have two Regular, two Italic, two Bold and etc. I believe there's something with (re)sorting/(re)appending items to lists/arrays and it's just a very small cosmetic issue. But anyway, it would be great to see this fixed, as the feature itself, it is really great and very helpful. Bug persists across all three apps. Versions 1.10.1 and 1.10.4 on macOS Catalina, Big Sur and Monterey.
