when i try to generat a pdf from publisher, it doesn't display the fonts in bold, the whole document become "regular", so where i use semibold in the document, they become regular in the PDF. how do i correct this?

I just installed Affinity Publisher 1.9.0.932 and is working fine. But I do not see at all the assets that come with the software. In Assets, all I see is a blank screen . New PC build with Windows 10 Pro, 32 Gb Ram and Intel i5 9600K processor. Very fast machine,. Please help. Thanks

Hello ! I downloaded the 90-month trial, and I'm wondering due to them coming in a package deal with 3 licences is affinity photo, designer and publisher included in one price ? Or are they separate purchases ? I'm sorry if it's answered in the trial somewhere, but I have yet to install it at the time of writing I will edit the post if it gets answered when I get my hands on the software's trial -
I wanted to have some text in grey. Buf in the same text block I get a very different shades of grey, even though both are RBG29,29,27 - why is that and how can I make them all the same shade of grey?

Hi, We are facing issues after we updated the affinity 2 days ago. When we try to open a book which was edited in previous version of affinity, affinity crashes immediately after opening the book. It doesn't allow us to edit or export the book. I am attaching folder container crash reports. This is a work stopper for us Please let us know how to resolve this. Hi there! I am new to the Affinity universe, and I hope that someone here can answer my question. I have used the Style dropdown in Paragraph studio to create two Drop Cap paragraphs, but I am not sure how I can improve them, esp. the small details. Hey, after getting the newest Publisher update, I now have performance problems when moving objects around. The movement is extremely edgy and sloppy. When i go into the Photo Persona, the performance is much better. My Task-Manager also doesn't show any indicator with RAM or Processor. How can I fix this problem? Best -
good afternoon affinity team I'm trying to buy affinity photo, affinity publisher, and affinity designer for five hours with my bank card that I usually use for buying online now I get the same error ( Server Internal Error To reconnect click the Reload button on the browser or click the button below ) I did use 3 different browsers, contacted my bank they say everything is working but they didn't receive any payment request from your side, so can you please help me with this issue

I observed this on Affinity Publisher 1.9.0.932 on Windows. I have a document with several linked PDFs. When I export this document to PDF there is a preflight warning for every single linked PDF, stating: The warning appears only for PDFs in "Passthrough" mode and is obviously a false alarm. The linked Sub-PDFs are not rasterised in any kind in the exported PDF. This is not a big deal, since the result is as desired, but the warnigs are a bit distracting (especialy if you have many linked PDFs in your document). I attached a simple document Example.afpub which contains a linked Embedded_PDF.pdf. The resulting PDF is stored in Example_exported.pdf. On the screenshot you can see the contradictory messages:. Working with Affibity Publisher, I wanted to rotate an inserted image. I changed to the Photo persona, and clicked something to rotate, but the entire document became as shown in my screenshot. I could not undo this with Ctrl - Z or any menu command I could find. What is the solution?

I opened a large PDF in Affinity Designer, everything looks fine, but then I tried to copy an Artboard from another doc to the current doc (which worked fine in 1.8) it only shows the selection box, this is after I re-saved as an .afdesign. I figured maybe it was landing on an existing Artboard so decided to create a new Artboard and just copy the contents, but the Artboard tool was suddenly locked and I got an error message saying "Artboard Tool - Artboards cannot be added to a document with multiple pages or master pages. This doesn't make sense for two reasons 1) Since the Affinity apps all share code, this seems like it would be an Affinity Publisher issue since you can't even create Pages/Master pages in Affinity Designer. 2) I can create new Artboards through duplication (Alt-Drag). It's not a memory issue because I have 32GB free. Can we please get a bug fix for this. Thank you.

Hi, Tried looking into the forums and I don't think I'm finding what I need. What I want to do: export a PDF file with buttons where if you click, it plays a short audio file. What I have tried: Right click on an object, go to "Interactive", then click on "Insert Hyperlink...". Then, choose choose "File" as the "Hyperlink Type", and put a check for "Include File for Export". Finally, I choose path of file. When I export the PDF, this does not seem to work. The expected behavior of any interactive PDF would be to simply play the file. However, my PDF from Affinity Publisher 1. attempts to open a link on my browser, 2. the url in my browser is roughly the local address to the file I've chosen. If anyone could help me with which buttons I'm supposed to click, that'd be awesome -
Hello I am designing an illustrated book of about 240 pages; I divided it into sections of 12 side by side pages to make the job more streamlined. Of this work I will also have to make the index for which I am marking the various items, references etc. so far everything is going well, but a doubt has arisen and I stopped waiting for your authoritative clarification: I don't find how to put these sections together in a sort of 'Publication' to extract the index; I hope I explained myself; what is the right procedure? Help is greatly appreciated ... -

Can I create a para style for a story that has the first line of the first para flush left, perhaps with a drop cap, or optical alignment - in case there is an opening quote, there will be a hanging indent; and the first line of succeeding paragraphs having different attributes, such as indents?

I have found a repeatable bug with linked images in Publisher. Here is the repeat steps. First create an image in Affinity Photo Make a new Publisher file, link to the Photo file twice. In each picture frame move to a different part of the image. In Publisher, crop away the part of the image you are not using. In my example I have 4 hats. I crop out all but 1 hat for each "picture frame" in Publisher. Close the Publisher document. Edit the Affinity Photo document, save and close Re-open the Publisher document. The position and crop information has been reset. Note, that if you do not crop the image this does not happen. But in my case, I am working with a comic book, and I have many images on a single Affinity Photo file. Cropping the images makes it easier to zoom-in and still control the handles of the image. In other words I need to crop to get precise placement.

Hi there, I have a publisher document, which contains a linked publisher file.The headings are formatted with "Heading 1" and the bodies with style "Fancy Body" respectively. The main document and the linked document each have their own set of paragraph styles, so the text is formatted differently, which is absolutely clear. I'm wondering if it is possible to optionally tell publisher to use the paragraph styles from the main document also in the linked document (thus disabling the local versions in the linked document)? I did post this originally in the support forum, but I guess Bug Reporting is a better place for it given it's a major bug? It happens on all 3 programs, but I really need Publisher up and running for work so I reported it in Publisher bug sub-section, I hope that's OK? All 3 programs ran absolutely fine on 1.8, after upgrading to 1.9.0 all 3 programs crash as soon as the splash screen goes and it tries to open the main program window. Windows 10 is up-to-date. I'm using a Windows Surface Laptop 3 with the Ryzen 5 Windows Surface Edition. I ran the .NET Repair tool, that didn't seem to do anything. I tried opening the program by holding Control and clearing the pre-ticked caches, that did nothing. Please let me know if I can provide any more information. I saw on another thread to try "Can you then navigate to %appdata%/Affinity\Publisher\ and rename the 1.0 folder to 1.0 old, relaunch the app and let me know if still crashes on runup?" - I don't have a 1.0 folder? Thanks for all your help!

Apologies in advance... I'm just so excited, I can't contain myself. I now have all three of the Affinity suite! I recently acquired an entirely FREE version of Aurora HDR 2018...and I successfully installed and use as a photo plugin. Digital creation life is good. That is all. I just had to share that.
