Last year Iafter I graduted, I worked as an IDX designer at a mobile phone company. Like most companies in China, employees worked almost 12 hours a day at this company. I did not have so much time to study or improve my skills at that period. The same year, Chinese developers launched a campaign called "996ICU" to against this huge exploitation. In the spring of 2019, I quited the job. Now, I want to change a lillte bit of this world, and tell meyself, how many beautiful views that I can find out after quiting 996. I will keep updating.

It happens to me very frequently that the hand tool [H] remains selected and although I select any other such as move [V], pen [P], text [T] , etc., the hand tool remains active. Even when another tool is visually marked on the panel. The only way out of this situation is to save and close the document and reopen it. It is very difficult to work like this. It happens to someone else? My O.S. is 10.13.6 - Intel Core i7 3,49 GHz - 32 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

I was working on a document in affinity designer (on mac) and I was trying to edit a photo so I clicked on edit in affinity photo, this wasn't what I wanted and for some reason I thought it has duplicated the file and opened it in affinity photo so I closed the affinity window and clicked don't save. when I went back to designer I was horrified to see that the document was gone. Is there any way of recovering this file either through affinity or caches or temps, anything?? -
Hello everyone! I've purchased and downloaded from the Affinity Store the following brushes: Blast Powder Brushes by Ian Barnard DAUB® Watercolours & Washes which are supposed to be compatible with both Affinity Photo and Designer. They appear in Affinity Photo but NOT in Designer. I go to Brushes > Import Brushes and choose the right files. A window then appears, saying the "Brushes imported successfully". I've done this more than once and every time a number is added at the end of the brush-set name like it already exists and is being added more that once. In the image I attach you can see the 6 in the end meaning I tried 6 times to add the specific brush set but it is still not showing up in my Brushes. Is anyone facing the same problem? Thanks in advance!

I tried using the latest version of Affinity Designer which was trial and it worked for several days. But after that it can't be opened. After that I uninstalled and purchased it (1 Oct 2019). After I try installing again, the situation still cannot be opened. When I double click the AD icon, nothing happens, nothing opens. Please help me. -
Hello! I am using assets quite extensively across both Designer and Publisher. Is there a way to use one set of Assets that would be updated in any of the applications with as little actions as possible? Ideally like fonts are, i.e without any intervention - when I add anbject to assets in Publisher, it shows up in Designer as well. That sounds too perfect for me and most probably has it's serious disadvantages, but I wondered if there's some workaround. Maybe, as mentioned in this thread, I should use the Windows junctions functionality and have the assets updated after application is restarted? Regards, Grzegorz -
Hi There, Is there a way to remove a border or stroke of a shape in a selected location? For example, I want to remove the stroke on top or top border of a rectangle. If not removed change the color. Thanks! -

The new Affinity designer for iPad looks and feels awesome. I would love to see a similar version of the Designer on Windows 10 which uses the full potential of the Windows 10 touch functionalities. A direct copy of the iPad UI could be awesome.- 24 replies

I have Affinity Designer on MacOS purchased around July of 2018. I updated to the latest version of iOS over the weekend, and today (through the App Store) when I tried to update Affinity Designer to 17.3 from 17.2 I get an error message: "Update Unavailable With This Apple ID" This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled. I have not made any changes to my Apple ID's email address, and it is the only one for the computer. It is the same one that I have been using for the past year to get all the other updates. I guess my question is how do I tell if it was "refunded or cancelled" as opposed to some other error? -
Hi, I had a file in Designer. I wanted to export but it was taking ages to generate the export for a PNG that was only going to be 500k in size. So I exited the file I was working on, back to the gallery. Then closed Designer. My file should have been saved but when I restarted Designer (which did fix the export issue) my file had the last 30 mins of work gone and it wasn’t in the history. I have had this happen before.

Affinity Design Crashing when the Slice panel is clicked on in export persona. It's not happening in all files - but happening with some files. I have attached one dummy file to which is crashing on my system. Steps to reproduce the bug: Open the attached file. Go to export persona. Click on the slice tab - and it crashes! I am running affinity designer on Windows 10 64Bit, Intel i76700 16 GB ram and 6 GB Nvidia Graphics GTX970M card. Business card bug report AD 2019-09-07.afdesign- 6 replies
