With any image loaded > close the main window > click the AP icon in the dock to open the main window again and the previous image layer and information will persist. Shouldn't closing the window also fully close the open document?

If you close a last opened file and Designer 2 is not fully closed and open it again you see the layers of the last opened file. See in screenshot that no file is opened and you see layers on the right. Release 2.0.4

Affinity version 2.04 Mac OS: Ventura 13.1 Steps I did when the program crashed: Start Affinity Photo 2. Open a previously saved affinity project based on a Canon CR3 raw-file. Close Affinity Photo 2 by clicking the red-dot in the top-left corner. Open Affinity Photo 2 again and there is no open picture, of course. However in the layer stack, the layers from the previous CR3 file is visible. Click on one of the layers (possibly double-click). Affinity Photo 2 crash. Attached is the MacOs crash dump Regards, Torsten crashdump.txt

When using the red button to close the document (window), the layers in the layers panel may still be visible although the document is not open. 1. Close the document window by clicking on the red button. 2. Click on the Doc Symbol to bring up the App. Now a document window comes up with the layers of the last used document visible. But the document itself is not open. What I would expect: Either an empty document window without layers or the picker-window where I can create a new document or chose from the recently used ones (I don't know how that window is called). See screenrecording attached. Photo 2.0.4 macOS Ventura 13.1 Close Document.mov
