  1. I replied with this in a different post but i am making this post individual because this is an extremely frustrating bug. Project file is attached and the video explains the problem. This problem does NOT persist on the ipad version affinity text vector boolean bug.mp4 affinity typography proj.afdesign
  2. Compounds seem completely broken when using text. Even when text is converted to curves, letters like B or S break the compound completely. Moving the text results in different weird results.
  3. I checked new features in Affinity Designer 2 and noticed that the Geometri functions on the Arial font converted to curves works differently than in Affinity Design 1. I checked other fonts and once they are transformed well, and other times the Geometri functions do not work (Most often after opening the program) Then they act as if they are repairing themselves. I was working on Windows 10 and 11. I'm sending the file. I don't know if it's just for me. The shapes appear to be working properly. geometry.afdesign
  4. Hello, new here and hopefully have a simple question. I need to add a rectangle over the letter "O" to make it connected for a cut file. It worked perfectly over the letter "A" and a couple others as a test. The letter O seems to be a problem. I subtract the text from the original geometry and then I add a rectangle (curve) over the top and "add". You can see the "A" is one solid piece, but the "O" still has the rectangle over it. When I select both pieces and click "add", it does nothing. Am I missing something? Thank you for any help!
  5. Just upgraded to version 2 of Designer and really disappointed to find the boolean operations are still broken and unreliable, trying to add two shapes together, one derived from text which was first converted to curves and ungrouped, with the correct layer order and tried with both Alternative and Winding fill types both result in a black box when using the Add boolean, not the expected result. Looks like I will have to go back to inkscape for this seemingly basic feature. If I try to do an intersect join with a simple box and one of the numbers as a workaround everything just disappears. 2023.afdesign
  6. Hello, I've noticed these bugs. When I try to use the Shape Builder with some fonts it doesn't work correctly. The same fonts (or font families) are also affected by another bug with the Boolean Operations. Both bugs don't affect all fonts and they only happen when I place the letters at a specific positions. Look the video: Shape Builder & Boolean Operations Bugs (Font - Arial).mp4 If it helps the developers, these are the same fonts that are affected by the bug with the Knife tool: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/172021-knife-tool-doesnt-work-with-fonts/ Thanks for your attention. 7. Hi, i tested this with a montage. Same broken result as in v2.0.0. I used the Font "Book Antiqua" bold for the artistic text. 2022-12-14_designer-beta-2.0.3.1670_boolean-test.zip
