  1. After updating to Affinity 2.5 documents in publisher can no longer be numbered - they always start with 0 or 1. And worse: the numbering in existing documents is destroyed, all documents now start with page #1, no matter which value I insert in "start page numbering at xxx" and no difference if it's an older (pre-2.5) document or a freshly created one.
  2. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I cannot set the page number in the Section Manager. The "Start on page:" is greyed out, and when I put in a number in the "Start page numbering at" it does not change in the document. It stays at 0. Publisher 2.5.2 (2486) on Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 (23F79) Paul
  3. I'm no longer able to create sections in Publisher that restart page numbering. I use this to skip page numbering on front covers and divider pages. Here's a Loom to show it in action https://www.loom.com/share/1556cb6d07e9431d85ef499e5674268a?sid=e3de3695-abf1-4ee1-bb3b-8bfb9114370d I can create one section that restarts pagination at page 1, but no other page numbers are accepted. When trying to create any additional sections, or to use any other page number, the radio button simply goes back to Continue Page Numbering. This is a newly created document. I have older documents that were created in previous versions of Affinity. The existing document sections persist in these docs, as do the reset page numbers, but any attempt to create new page sections results in the same issue. I'm aware of this post - however this poster says that page numbers are not working in older documents and that has not been my experience (although I can't create any new sections that reset page numbers)
  4. When using Add Pages from File the page before the first page specified in the page range is added after the first page in the specified page range in the new file, subsequently, the last page specified in the page range is missing... The text frame for the page before the first specified page which now appears as the second page in the new file is linked to a non-existent page in the newly created file as is the last page which is now the page before the last page in the specified page range... Add Pages from File.mp4
  5. having trouble with page numbering and field section (header) naming in book. Why is first single page numbered as both 1 and (0)? My first 16 pages are front matter, not attached to master so have no numbering. I understand that the left hand nos are the literal number of pages in the book and the right hand nos are the pages (starting at Chapter 1) which are actually numbered. I have placed each chapter in a new section. The numbers are not correct and don't know how to fix.
