  1. Ok, yes I am sure this is a massive stretch and a very unrealistic request but hey, if we don't ask, then who knows if it will ever happen right. So, sometimes, when I am putting together a project, I am looking at composition and design. I use software like Google Sketchup to get models to drop into Sketchup and arrange here and there to get my ideas. Then I have to snap an image of the layout and redrop it into illustrator, outline (trace) it and go from there. I can't tell you how often I was thinking it would be cool to just be able to open one program and in one window, create the 3D layout, then copy and paste it into another page where as the 3D layout turns into a nice 2D flat vector image to work with. Again, yes I know this is unrealistic and asking for a lot, but hey, does it hurt to ask. So, 3D Design capabilities like Google Sketchup with full compatibility with your wonderful vector software. That is my request. :D
  2. In order to enable free object selection within layers, groups and stacks it would make sense to offer a y-axis rotation of the viewport camera around the active view to get a glimpse of what's going on while selecting. To see the effect in action click on the debug checkbox of this parallax CSS example: http://keithclark.co.uk/articles/pure-css-parallax-websites/demo3/ Cheers
  3. Hi there. Do you play with ideas to make a Movie Software or a 3D Software? To complete the Bunch. Greetz
  4. Hi, I just started trying out the free version of Affinity after seeing the trailer on Youtube. I find it very nice of course, but was wondering if its possible to convert a 2D shape into '3D', just like on Illustrator. You could rotate it into an isometric grid, so to say, shading, no shading, etc. Its one of my fav. features on AI..and was wondering if its just not available on the free version ? Cheers and thanks.
  5. Hi, My take on a classic. Made the shots dramatic to enhance the feeling of old and prestige. Rendering time was quite short about 5 min each. POST in Affinity Photo Beta. ;) For more pics check my behance + a modeling timelapse. https://www.behance.net/gallery/24002497/Classical-Violin? Cheers, Vlad
  6. Hey guys, Here is something I done in Modo today. Post in Affinity Photo Beta. Everything went smooth apart from those live filters hanging and slowing things done.... A LOT!!!! Render time about 2 hours with Modo Renderer. Hope you like it :) Cheers, Vlad
  7. I'm not sure if this makes sense, but you could add some basic 3D options to Affinity Designer. I noticed you have 3D in your DrawPlus program. Or it might make more sense to have a separate 3D program. Anyway, it's just a thought.
  8. We want's it. That is all. I'm figuring this might actually be an easy one. And I do really really miss this facility.. It's the sort of thing that one wants at the heart of the creative process, so it's very jarring to have to go to another app in the middle of the act, as it were - which may lose various affinity nicenesses. TIA.
  9. In this video I will show you how to turn your 2D picture into a 3D Anaglyph picture. Grab a pair of your red/blue 3D glasses and enjoy the show. If you don't own a pair get it for a 1.50 here: http://amzn.to/1FRRj2a Here is the link: http://youtu.be/HApTw3hmNOg :)
  10. You need red blue 3d glasses to see this one in 3D :)
  11. So I have this client project for a legal department that want something "edgy" ( how I hate that word) Anyway, I wanted to try and pull of this fo 3d look. This is not final but this exploration taught me a little bit about the 3d effects in the fx panel. I will definitely have to play wit that feature more but it quite powerful! This entire piece was created in Affinity Designer. I amazed by this application everyday! interesting moods
  12. Hello I would like to improve a way to make a pseudo effect in 3D a lá FreeHand. The example is if I use the square tool with rounded squares, I would like to get a kind of isometric effect like the image I show. Actually is a little tricky to get done. OK. I see this thread and maybe the distortions tools include the effect I mentioned: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/1957-blend-object-along-curve/?hl=text&p=7960
