  1. Hello i'm new to the forum and i want to know if i can add text to a 360 photo i still don't have the affinity photo App but I want to buy it; i'm gonna mostly use it for 360 photos and adding text to them, i saw how to add a logo, but i don't know if it is the same thing with the text, and if it's gonna look with the 360 shape or just flat? Thanks!
  2. Hello Everyone, I'm new here and to Affinity and also to working with a 360 camera. I have a "Ricoh Theta S" and I will be using it for Real Estate, motorsports..etc but I want to be able to add ANY 360 file and work with it. Do I just use the Live Equirectangular Projection layer, do my editing with inpainting..etc and then save? Then use another program online to view? What if I need to correct a stitching line? Or any blurry objects close to a stitching line? I do have a photo that on the stitch line I see a double head? Anyway to merge them to make one? Want me to upload it? Thanks
  3. I just bought Affinity Photo and I think that this software looks pretty awesome! It is way faster and more responsive than Photoshop on my Windows 10 PC. However, I am a pro 360/panoramic photographer, and one of my biggest complaints about Photoshop (and Lightroom, and pretty much everything actually) is that it has no idea when a photo wraps around at the edges of an equirectangular image, and therefore when I apply "nearest neighbor" functions like vibrance, clarity, shadows, highlights, sharpness, etc., I get a seam that can be quite pronounced. When I read Affinity Photo had native 360 functionality, that sounded like music to my ears. Within the Photo persona, I've had no problems with seams, which is a huge improvement over Photoshop. I tried using the Tonemapping persona, which did some amazing stuff with a really lousy Theta image that I never would have guessed, but then when I projected it to equi, the seam was as big and bold as ever... I'd just like to ask if there is a way that I can avoid this in the Tonemapping persona, and if the Tonemapper can be made 360-friendly, because with 360 images, this is almost critical. You often have the uber bright sun in the same image with uber dark shadows, and tonemapping of this quality would be something I really would like to take advantage of.
  4. Hi there, So I find your unable to edit a 360 HDR image in projection view? 1: HDR merge 6 bracketed images from Theta 360 cam. 2: Apply, and return to pixel persona. 3: Go into equirectangular projection mode. 4: Rotate around, and edit something using the inpainting brush. 5: Press ctrl + cmd + p to return the ability to rotate. 6: The moment you rotate, a ugly plane appears in the scene, that is sized and aligned to the size and position the view was in at the point of editing in step 4. Note: Merging the 360 HDR, and saving out to disk as an HDR, then reimporting as a single file does not change this behaviour. See attached sample screenshot.
  5. Posting this as a separate thread as it got lost in another thread that was going off topic. Just gave this beta a red hot go with editing a 360 photo and the live projection. This has made it a whole lot more intuitive when editing 360 photos. Big high five to the team for thinking this one through. I noticed a quirk, which I'm not sure if this is something the devs are planning to fix. When you're in 360 pan view and switch to another tool, then switch back to pan, you have to re-click the 360 view. It's one click but when you have to do it multiple times, it becomes additional clicks that aren't needed. Is there a way to keep it in 360 view when you click away to use another tool? Thanks.
