  1. @walt.farrell Thanks Walt that is really useful information. No, my GPU will not run Affinity on my desktop. It will certainly shorten the troubleshooting on my laptop also. Brian W
  2. Doesn't look like I can reply to individuals so thank you all for your responses. It has been a great learning experience for me. AFAICT I now have the latest Intel drivers (Jun 2020) but still not joy so looks like IvyBridge is not supported. I get the same response on my laptop which has an AMD and an Intel graphics unit. I suspect that they too are too long in the tooth (2014/5). So looks like it might be upgrade time. As I prefer to use an all-in-one desktop which tend to come with Intel GPUs do you have any guidance as to what chip iteration is the oldest that will support acceleration? Failing that does anyone know if these cheap (Indian?) brands are up to the job? I'm thinking of Mechazer or Nexsmart i5 and i7 respectively or any other budget brand you may be aware of. TIA Brian W
  3. No tab labelled as display; I hope this is what you want More GPU info... gives HTH Brian W
  4. I have seen similar problems but nothing which gives me a fix. This is the message I get However, a graphics utility I have has an openCL demo that I have no trouble in running. Some details of what is being done Any suggestions, please? Brian W
  5. I am trying to print a picture of a person. The picture came out far too light (blown out?). I reduced the brightness and the result was better but is still very light and seems to have yellow/greenish cast to it. I know there are things you can alter like colour spaces but I have so little understanding of this it really would be complete trial and error. Is there a procedure or method one can follow to reduce time and wastage? TIA BoW
