What would constitute a good fit? Is there a mathematical relationship between the resolution and the number of pixels?

I have some 72dpi images I want to use in a presentation using an Epson projector. I want to be sure the images will be clear when projected onto a full size screen. Are there procedures in Affinity Photo for Mac that will accomplish that for me?
