Please add auto-weld (auto-join) option for curve editing.
It will be extremely useful for workflow.
    1) Auto-weld automatically when drag one node on another
    2) Auto-weld button with specified distance between nodes (example: select all nodes of curve, press auto-weld by distance).
Also please fix: nodes handles are changing their direction when two nodes join together.

So boring and complicated as for 2020 year.
Affinity Photo already has exif data tool, so why not to save it to XMP for next session or for using in third party software.
Can't understand and have no answer for myself.

I made timelapse that contains of 500 photo raw files.
How to process them at once? Affinity Photo doesn't save raw develop parameters.
p.s. Adobe uses XMP files for raw parameters storing.
So, it is possible to use traditional LRtimelapse software for timelapse exposure correction.
Is it possible to implement the same XMP structure for Affinity Photo RAW Develop persona?
It will made compatible Affinity Photo Raw settings with Adobe products and third party applications (for example, LRtimelapse for timelapses).

    Hi KB_Aero,

Unfortunately this issue is still open with development. I will get your comments passed onto them and get the issue bumped.

    Thanks for letting us know!

    Hello!

I am trying to combine 2 curves together at their endpoints to create a closed curve. Each endpoint has 1 handle that sets the curve shape. When I use the node tool to use the 'Join Curves' command, AD will join the two curves and combine one set of endpoints while preserving the original handle orientation at the joined point.
Now that I have a single curve, I want to close the shape. Dragging the remaining two endpoints on top of each other will close the curve, but deletes one of the handles! This ruins the symmetry of the design. Using the 'Close Curve' command adds a straight line between the two remaining endpoints. If the two points are aligned on top of each other this doesn't cause any immediate problems. However, this causes workflow problems down the line by causing disjointed strokes (after doing the Layers -> Expand Stroke Command), which are an essential step to creating offsets because AD doesn't support an offset tool at this time.

This issue was reported 2 years ago and the linked post contains a video of the issue:

Has this been corrected in a patch I can download, or are there any community accepted workarounds?

Wish XMP implementation for batch raw processing.
It will make compatible the Raw develop persona with LRtimelapse and Adobe Camera Raw / Lightroom

Is it hard to add button Copy Settings and Paste Settings to develop options?
I want to apply the same setting to other opened RAW for develop.
Would be nice to have option "Copy only changed settings" from all tabs (Basic, Lens, Details etc.)
    and "Copy all settings".
I guess it is not hard to copy all raw develop parameters to Clipboard and Paste them to another opened RAW.

p.s. Presets are not solution in some cases (and not fast).
I do not want to create preset each time - I want to 1) setup one image parameters 2) quickly copy them to Clipboard 3) Easily paste them to other opened images.

Before a picture gets processed, there is the time before: raw development.
Here are some MUST HAVE features:
    General
It should be possible to save the current editing state of raw developing (URGENT!!).
Sometimes you spend hours and hours on the overlays and you cannot pause until you hit "develop". This is annoying. Developing should be no-destructive. Performance. Currently, the entire GUI response is way too slow. Sometimes parts of the canvas are not properly painted. Even on high end machines.
      Overlay tools
Brush/eraser,... they need feathering and opacity adjustment (URGENT!!) Brush/eraser,... shall share same size setting Brush/eraser improvement: currently they do not properly work for small sizes (splotchy lines) and canvas painting has latency (URGENT!!) A way to combine gradients and brushes on the same layer Polygon tool (beside brush and gradient) with adjustable feathering and opacity. Smart selection tool based on colors/edges. You really do not want to brush all the details during raw development.

I am shooting only RAW images and permanently open them in AP. But, every file must be abort RAW development to close and with several windows i have to click for dozens and dozens of times on abort and yes or for closing tab on yes to this every time.
    Boah is this annoying.
Please give me a setting to disable that. I just want to close this/all file/s without any of this.

    Hello develop team,
Is there any change that you could add some kind of batch development /conversion for raw files?
The possibility to save the raw develop module setting on one file, and then use these settings on all files in a directory would be enough. At least for me.
Something like the actions, but then for raw development.
I really do not need a DAM. just this possibility.
    Anyone else?
    Regards Dennis

I wished it was possible to also save the RAW development.
I've already lost many hours due to heavy and complicated processeing with the overlays when Photo crashed.

That has been available for a long time. See the Modifier Keys box in the Help for Painting Brush Strokes, or the Status Bar in Photo with the Paint Brush tool active.
You press Alt, then the left mouse button and start to drag.

Forget Merge option. It is not matter in this case.
Here is Affinity Designer 1.6.5 and my attempts to join two segments properly (without any hidden lines and overlapping nodes):

I am not sure what you mean by "Merge curves to one," but to get the result you want, don't merge anything. With snapping enabled, move one of the curves so its end node snaps to the end node of the other one. Select both curves, switch to the Node Tool & Click Join. Then click close curve & you are done. The attached join.afdesign demonstrates this & includes the history so you can move the history slider back & forth to see the steps.
BTW, Join Curves in Affinity always joins the 2 nearest nodes, so selecting the nodes you want to join will not work.
