In V2, in the Character Panel, click the Collection box (typically showing "All Fonts").  From the list of Font Collections that is displayed, select "Missing Fonts").  Then click the down arrow on the right of the Font Family box.  It should then show the list of missing fonts.

This is in the Help file for the Character Panel:
    "About the Character panel
The Character panel is unique in providing the ability to:
List typefaces within particular collections (including Missing Fonts)."

FdelS reacted to Granddaddy in MSI Installer upadate?
lphilpot provided a concise, orderly summary of some differences between MSI and MSIX versions of Affinity 2 software.
I do have a few comments stimulated less by my own meager knowledge of the technical considerations and more by the various comments in these forums from end-users. Such comments have been pouring in continuously during the nearly three months since Affinity 2 for Windows was released as a Windows App (MSIX) rather than as a Windows Program (MSI/EXE).
1.) Windows Apps installed via MSIX seem to be inherently insecure in the judgement of businesses, medical facilities, financial institutions, and others who have reported in these forums that MSIX applications are blocked by their organizations for security reasons. Thus, a possibly significant fraction of Affinity users were prevented from ever installing Affinity 2 (MSIX).
2.) If MSI differed from MSIX mostly in packaging for installation, then why did it take Affinity nearly three months to provide the MSI packaging? It seems the issues are far more complex than mere packaging for distribution. This seems confirmed by Moderators asking for more patience as the developers designed and coded an MSI version of Affinity 2 that would be compatible with the existing MSIX installation.
3.) That the application/user must check for updates for traditional Windows MSI programs seems a major advantage of traditional Windows program installations, not a con at all. I for one, and all the businesses that block MSIX Windows Apps, really do not want software updating itself without advising, and obtaining consent from, the user. I've seen this producer-controlled updating change iPadOS apps without my knowledge or consent (just as Kindle books can say one thing on one day and the opposite tomorrow). End-users, or local system administrators in organizations, should be in control of their software, not controlled by their software.
4.) There is no inherent reason that MSI applications cannot be updated with frequent, small patches. It's been occurring for decades.
5.) I have been pleased to see that the Windows environment is robust enough to handle the multiple versions of Affinity software residing simultaneously on my computer during the past few days. I'm also pleased that the Affinity developers were able to provide solutions to the problems originating with the MSIX installations.
What continues to bother me most about the Big Debacle is that Affinity user support staff were totally unprepared for the negative reaction to the MSIX installers. The problems encountered by end-users, many of whom could not even install the software at all, should have been anticipated. Support staff should have been trained and prepared to give reasonable explanations and provide solutions. Instead, workarounds were rushed out amongst great turmoil. After three months of disruption and anger, Affinity's reputation is sullied. Those committed in one way or another to the future of Affinity software are frustrated. It was all so unnecessary.

You really do not give up. Opinionated, without an open mind.
Continue to believe in your own words and yes I do have experience within the photography industry, design & development.
This software will not be used by me so this whole debate is pointless and yes a comment like that is a comment of a fool, if the cap fits....

Well I literally just registered on this forum after reading some of the views of what Linux is used for (web browsing lol) and also how it is run on second hand computers (again lol) and how there is no-one to support linux machines (again again lol) and also how your company believes that linux is a budget option ...omg!
Do you know how many professional businesses use linux? Military Groups? Public services?
Do you also realise that the majority of linux users (which you seem to call nerds..rude!) are far more technically minded than most of the users on other OS's.
Why not go out and buy a PC? You say. A PC is a personal computer which can have whatever OS you choose to have on it actually... so as a debian user I do have a PC.
Second hand computers run linux? This just makes me cringe! My laptop which I run a customised debian distro has a intel i7 3k CPU, 16GB DDR4, 2GB Dedicated Graphics, 1TB SSD (running /home), 128gb m.Sata (running the OS) along with a 2 Wifi Cards, a 4g sim Module and another 256GB USB 3.0 for addition storage. Not all linux users run rasberian/mint or ubuntu.

I researched your software hoping that finally there would be some software company out there making a decent photo editing suite for linux and stumbled upon this nonsense.
Instead of trying to compete with photoshop (which you do seem to do a good job at doing btw) on windows and mac operating systems why not actually create something that has no competition and would be appreciated by a group of computer enthusiast. You mention support but us linux users support each other so actually it wouldn't really need much support lets be real.

Anyway clearly at the moment, even though points have been made and even though the linux communities are growing rapidly you are just not interested.
But what I am going to do is make it my mission for the day to find a way of installing your software and successfully running on linux one way or another, even if I have to manually install it into wine as your install breaks. So the fun begins.

    and this:

The fact you believe this just makes you a fool. A professional doesn't have to play around with linux, a true professional would know how to install almost all linux distributions on any machine and not need to keep changing distro's hoping for the best. Honestly, just because you have installed a few distros this does not make you a professional at all. A true business man does business but as an acting CEO and CTO of an international multi million pound company, I can tell you now your talking out of your rear.

The comments against linux testify to ignorance. What are you afraid of?

Linux users are contrary to popular prejudices quite willing to pay for high-quality software. But therefore it has to be offered for that platform first.

thanks for your tipps. I deleted the Catalyst Application (AMD) including the related drivers. After that,  I started Affinity photo the latest version and it works fine. I could open a image file and Affinity works fine, no crashes...

Yes please!! If it's at all possible to open .indd files would be awesome. I just tested Affinity Publisher Beta, opening a PDF that I had originally created in InDesign and it kept all the fonts, formatting and pictures as my InDesign file. This isn't ideal, as I would need to save every InDesign file to a PDF, however, at least it is an option. I'm quite impressed so far with the Beta version. Looks very easy to use and everything is easy to find. I'll be excited to move over to Affinity Designer and Publisher, however, I'm not quite ready to give up my Adobe Photoshop. I'll give it another 12 months while learning Affinity Designer. I think the main problem with Adobe, is they haven't catered for the people who used Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Acrobat Pro. It's very disappointing that we have to pay for 'All Apps' per month subscription. I have a feeling Affinity will take a large amount of 'print design' creatives from Adobe ;)

indd export not as critical as is the ability to import. Most are probably exporting the bulk of their efforts into some variation of pdf, but to move ongoing legacy projects to Publisher will require an InDesign import system of some sort (preferably sooner than later).

I can't give any timelines for this (IDML import, not INDD). It's being worked and will be in an update when it is considered working and relatively stable. But I would be talking more than a few weeks in not months, It's not a simple thing to just implement
