  1. all good stuff guys. Thank you so much. airdrop is convenient but obviously for this purpose not functional. This completes my decision to buy this app. Lots to learn. Thanks guys or as they say over in Miami Gracias :-)
  2. good question. I have been using airdrop and then converting to jpg since apple decided to created a new image format called HEIC :-( I think thats when this problem arriised
  3. iphone 6th gen and camera, less often used is a canon which i can offload the images to a folder on my desktop
  4. I now see the lighting distortion from the sun is aweful. I really need to reshoot these anyway. so to fix my image uploads in the future downloading from my phone or camera what method do you recommend to be the cleanest approach?
  5. so i zip it as like suggested, then uncompress it with the extension .jpeg and prtesto it loads into afp:-)
  6. I used the rename tool also in finder. still leaving the long trail file name even if i just drop it on my desktop. Im gonna zip the image as jimmy jack suggested and post here in a jif
  7. i shot them on my iphone like i usually do. readly odd. see if this link works for you to see the image in dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/h
  8. this is what I got from the forum when I tried to up;load to my public folder in dropbox:-(
  9. thanks for replying. I discovered in testing one of the images and attempting to upload into movavi video editor it wouldnt accept it either. I'll upload one to dropbox and add a link. thanks this is driving me nuts
  10. Thanks for responding v-kyr i am still fighting this problem. My trial is about over. to explain further my issue, if i drag an image out of my download folder and put it on my desktop affinity will not accept the image because the file name includes so much extra words. I can add the file to iphoto but low and behold when i try to open the file in affinity it retains the long name. There must be some solution for this. I bring images all the time like this into movavi video editor no problem. example of this file name attached. Not sure how else to store the file prior to trying to open in afp? Help
  11. sure Paul. But I wonder when you look at the long link where the files is stored if that is the problem? it wont let me upload the images to the forum. I'll include the screen shot
  12. Paul think you for your imput. Ive asked a couple places thought I'd try you direct. IS there no way to open/load a jpg image into this program for editing?
