I really don't need exotic tools like animation. Today, I always need Illustrator for many tasks because these tools don't exist yet in AD.
    New tools :
    - gradient with shapes
    - deformers
    - simplify curves
    - offset curves

Some tools/functions must be improved :
    - point center : add it for symmetry and scale - add a button Reset for point center. Often, I'm looking for it.

    - magnetism : sometimes yes, sometimes no. Why all curves/shapes are not magnetics ? It's make me crazy.

    - add arrows like AI : all cotations for my drawings are still done in AI.

    - reshape a part of a curve with rotate or scale is almost impossible : Draw a cat (AD love cats !). Oh oh, the head is too small. Ok, select points of the head and…, and there is no bounding box or interactive scale tool for this. You must type values in the Transform menu. Not user friendly.
Oh, can you rotate a little the head of the cat ? OK, select points and…, and we can't do that ! It's impossible. Rotation is greyed. It's a nightmare. Keep cool man, you can do that in Illustrator in few clicks.
My AI CS5 is still the best friend of AD for this specific tasks.

After saying that, I must confess : Using AD is so good in another ways, I don't want to return with Adobe.

I found a way around this for the Mac version - go to Font Book - create a new collection and call it All (or whatever you like) than grab all your fonts and drop them on the new all collection - restart Designer / Photo - select text you want to change - go to Character pallet - click on All Fonts and scroll down to All (or whatever you called your new collection) then click back in the font name box to the right of your new collection now you should be able to just use the arrow keys to scroll up or down to the next font alphabetically from where you last left off - this would be really handy if the font list display could be hidden so you could focus on the live update when scrolling through fonts on the page

This would be a massive timesaver - I've had a few jobs that I've set out to do entirely in designer but had to give up and switch back to illustrator for this feature just to save time and cursing - should be a priority!

When combining several curves the program freezes on me every time. I have many curves and a rectangle selected, then i select combine, the progress bar shows blue to the end but it never finishes and whole program freezes.

I am using the attached file an an example. Please correct when you can. Thank you for all of the other updates!

update 10/09/16- I think the problem is that with so many objects being combined (over 6,000) it is just taking longer to process. However, the Mac software shows a full progress bar when there hasn't been that much progress in reality. On the windows version, it shows a gif that it is processing. I tried it again using much less objects to combine and it almost finished the job before I stopped it. It took several minutes and i'm sure most of the timing was due to my older computer's processing power. Thanks.

Good work peeps, every update the freehand vector brush tool improves and gets quicker and more fluent I'm hoping it's gonna be as great as Manga studio vector pen brush or mischief with the added ability to export and use in a pro manor - just did some exports to pdf and all vector info is retained, whereas in the previous version it would rasterise most of the vector work - the attached pic is a character Eric Idol who is the band mascot for the band THE IDOL DEAD - I'd love to be able to do the next ldol Dead job with affinity now things are getting quicker - but it's a new tour T-shirt which requires Halftones and spots - DAMN! looks like it's back to illustrator and Vectoraster or Manga studio (AWESOME HALFTONES but no vector or spot output) and InDesign - IF ONLY..............
