Dazmondo77 reacted to Pšenda in Feature request to improve studio panels on desktop
Have you tried it? I don't see anything that APublisher/Designer persona should have a problem with (except Export persona of course).

Yes, it can. Just start the project in the Designer Persona.

I use APublisher precisely for the StudioLink function as the default application - so I also open *.afdesign and *.afphoto files in it.
That's why I wrote this easy-to-implement requirement (https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/168870-personas-changing-according-to-the-extension-of-the-file-being-launchedopened/)

Dazmondo77 got a reaction from tudor in Option + Drag not working in 1732 to begin lasso node selection
YIPPEEEEEEE! this is now fixed in 2.1.0.1769 although I can't appear to find anything regarding Vector node lasso in the 2.1.0.1769 bug fix list

Dazmondo77 reacted to thomaso in Exporting multiple areas (panels) of the design with bleed.
Agree.
Also it would be a total breeze, if in AD moving the layout objects out of their artboard layer would not be necessary but instead the Affinity option "Passthrough" could get set for artboards efficiently and thus make the top most parent artboard with the entire layout appear on export of the single artboards underneath.
Different than expected, a Group or a Layer (Layer, containing the main, parent layout artboard) may get set to "Passthrough" but does not make its contents occur on the single artboards on exports. … I wonder why.

Dazmondo77 reacted to oxjox in Add Separated Mode
I just installed the v2 demo. Thank god I didn't purchase this yet. Without Separated Mode, this application is unusable.
Posting here in hope that someone will let me know if and when Affinity Photo version 2 is ready for use.

Dazmondo77 reacted to Artemis21 in Add Separated Mode
Hello,
is it possible to implement separated mode? I know it was in v1 and not having it in v2 is a real problem, especially on macOS that thas a drag and drop nature. It would be ideal to remove the app background and having the files in separated windows. As of now I have to separate every single file and it heavily slow down the workflow, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like this feature.
Thank you

No work on so thought I'd have a go at re-creating an old job that was originally all raster created in Photoshop - all Vector-
Turned out quite well so thought I may as well post it as it was all done in PUB

Dazmondo77 reacted to Roger Langham in Measurements - so close but yet so far
I'm an architect and I think Affinity Designer is almost there in it's ability but I can't use it if I cannot quickly tap on a couple of points and leave a permanent dimension there as I can in say CorelDraw. It's such a shame because there would be many more users if this simple thing was added. The measurement tool almost does it but then the measurement just disappears when you move to another tool.
