Affinity publisher can now import data from xlsx files but not tables from access. just had some success by following steps 1. exporting table from access as a text file using tabs to separate columns 2 set up a table in publisher with same column structure 3. click in first cell 4 "place" the text file if it's a big file you may have some extra work to do to spread it over a number of pages

Hi all, Had the same trouble but then noticed that it did move to fields in turn but there was no highlighting or cursor to show where you actually were. Same issue in some other dialogue boxes as well.

I have set up master page for facing page book with inner margins different to outer margins and have several linked text boxes. Problem occurs if you insert a single page. those frames that were oringinally on a right page retain their right page position when moved to a left page by that insertion. which apparently means that I have to manually reposition all text frames and images etc. from that position on. Am I missing something obvious?

When I open a publication after moving some of the pictures in it to new folders, it says "some of you resources are missing, would you like to find them?" when you click "yes" you just get an "open file" dialogue box showing the directory where the main .afpub is. No indication so far of which resources are missing. The only way out of it seems to be to cancel the dialogue box and open the resource manager, where missing pictures are listed. Ok from there on

As with previous commentators, I go back to older products when I have somethng to do in a hurry. My general feeling is that everytime I want to do something with affinity, I have to fight the the programme to get it done. Nothing is even remotely intuitive and I have to look for a tutorial or a forum for even the simplest of tasks

I'm as frustrated as everyone else with the lack of a simple feature that worked very well with pageplus. However, I seem to have had some minor success in exporting an A5 booklet by doing the opposite to what you imagine i.e. unclicking the "facing pages" box in document setup before exporting to PDF. There was some minor fiddling with the print set up in acrobat to get the print to look ok - but the only reason I export to pdf is to get someone else to put it on pager. the 2-page view in acrobat reader looks just the way that it always did
