Don - NZ got a reaction from kimtorch in Macro Export?
Hi Chris - I also ran up against this and downloaded 1.7 to no avail, in case more work had been done. Your Macros did what I needed until I came up against the fact that they can't record an export. With a thousand pictures to run through the macro and out to export/save as, I was forced to revert to using that other program.
Please extend macros to include export/save/save as functionality.

Don - NZ got a reaction from Sean P in psd stroked layer misaligned in Beta V1.7
Hi Sean
Sorry for the delay, but the computer room suffered a water leak in the ceiling yesterday.
I have played around with this some more and it seems to me that it arises when a program has to decide how to map an image pixels to that of the screen dpi. If you push the magnification high enough, then all three programs start to introduce a gray line of pixels somewhere on a stroke or outline - usually on the inside of the stroke/outline (but not always) as they make a decision about how to handle an image pixel to screen dpi relationship (that is not an exact match).
Even PS starts to show this around the 1400% magnification.
Just when and where this appears, appears to depend partly on the screen resolution (mine is 2560x1400), the on-screen magnification and someone's decision on how to map image pixels to screen dpi. I doubt we will ever get to the bottom of this, it is just unfortunate that whilst Ver1.6 doesn't exhibit it at my combination of settings and normal viewing levels, Beta 1.7 does.
I guess the real answer is to simply create any stroking or outlining again in the final program and just be thankful that Affinity has done such a good job otherwise in opening psds.
Please consider it closed and we will see what the final release does.
(PS How did you get the yellow and magenta chequering up)?

I would like to see this feature also but by the lack of communication here from a mod or staff that worries me. I have a huge collection of styles etc, this may be a deal breaker for me until you guys can get an import for all of them.

I would also like to see an import option for styles and custom shapes since I have a lot of them.

Hello,
I’ve searched through existing posts (see short list below) but it’s not clearly stated if those requests have been added to the development list or out of consideration. (They don’t appear to be reflected in the roadmap unless I’m missing a reference.)
Is it possible to get clarification as to whether Affinity has plans to support:
Ability to import Photoshop and Illustrator 'Preset' files / styles:
Most Important:Gradients: .grd file extension Styles: .asl file extension Patterns: .pat file extensionIncluding preset pattern fills (related post by someone else is referenced below) Moderately important but could live without:Color Swatches: .aco file extension Custom Shapes: .csh file extension I have a huge library of the above (gradients, styles, and patterns in particular) that I'd rather not lose (or have to recreate) by switching to Affinity Designer.
Somewhat-related forum posts:
Import .ase and .aco files: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/1483-import-palette…-importing-ase-and-aco-files/ Import Photoshop and vector brushes: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/532-import-photoshop-and-vector-brushes/ Vector pattern fills, custom vector brushes, dotted lines: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/1913-vector-pattern-fills-custom-vector-brushes-dotted-lines/ (This one in particular, it’s stated that vector pattern fills are not yet in the roadmap; does that mean that it’s out of consideration, or just that it’s not coming in the near future?) Thank you for any clarification you can provide.
Regards,
