It is well known that nodes can do everything about layers(ui). The layer cannot do some of the node's actions. Nodes are 100% compatible with layers(ui) and channels(ui). Make changes to the existing layer(ui) to make it nodey while maintaining compatibility with the original layer(ui). Adobe PS lacks even a true alpha channel(ui) because of its stale architecture. Nodeized Layer(node-ui) and channel(node-ui), affinity will have far more flexibility than PS. Adobe can never do that because of its stale architecture. This ensures an absolute lead in affinity. This node feature does not require a huge amount of new code, just changes to existing layer(ui). (I know that many(Affinity)programs are backends(Behind) based on nodes., so this is easier to do) It does not require changing the appearance of the existing layer(ui). Just provide an option to enable the advanced 3D multi-layer box node layer(node) channel(node) framework(ui). Reference implementation: https://natrongithub.github.io/ Natron (open source)

Ironically, the MacOS version has this feature. This is clearly unequal... @Mark Ingram Cats and dogs should be treated fairly.

Some current performance defects
Aftemplate replied to Aftemplate's topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop
A while has passed before. Is there any recent development on this? Thank you. @Mark Ingram The Windows version is priced the same as the MacOS version. Therefore, the Windows version should not have any features missing, especially such a significant feature. (up to 10 times performance acceleration) Convenient to disclose the progress of the work? 0% or 1%~99% -

Pixel brush responsiveness?

There's nothing I can do about it. Good luck. -
Pixel brush responsiveness?
Aftemplate replied to Artsketch's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on iPad Questions
Do you use wacom? I know that in recent driver updates, they have improved pressure sensing to make it easier to reach maximum values. (Also, have you tried the pen pressure sense setting in the wacom setting center?) It allows it to be set to soft or tough, with significant effect) -
Barcode Generator
Aftemplate replied to Atapang's topic in Feedback for Affinity Designer V1 on Desktop
Affinity currently lacks some of the most basic features. For example, the high-quality canvas rotates at "stepless speed change". The current spin quality is unbearable. Amplification quality slightly above 100% is also intolerable. -

better than nothing. More or less, there will be some inspiration. -

BinaryEye Free Easy To Use Powerful No Ad Privacy No Web Request Simply Minimal Permissions More importantly, it is open source, which means that if affinity wants to add such functionality, they can use this program as a reference. -

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.markusfisch.android.binaryeye/ Try this, read and generator barcodes. Affinity designer currently lack many core vector features, such as bitmap tracking. I think this should be a priority. -
Please be sure to convey my thanks to Andy for me. Your answer is the most meaningful of the entire response. That's what I want. Affinity is the best I've ever seen, far more than Photoshop. Photo x Designer will have unlimited possibilities.

I switched to Vectornator because...
Aftemplate replied to Artsketch's topic in Feedback for Affinity Designer V1 on iPad
The MacOS version of Affinity supports GPU acceleration with a 10x performance leap. This key feature is missing from the Windows version. Such a distinction should not arise. -
I will continue to track this issue until it is resolved. In each beta version. The (only) record is meaningless until it is actually resolved. Since 2018. @Chris B

Thank you for documenting this issue. Would it be convenient for you to tell which developer to resolve it or when it will be resolved? (Optional) As far as I know, @Andy Somerfield is the lead developer of Affinity Photo. This issue has not been fixed since it was recorded in 2018 (as of 1.8.4beta)

RGB is machine-friendly, and in essence, it is not tailored for humans. Lab is the opposite. I use Lab for digital painting, lab can do anything RGB can do (digital painting only) About Lab's benefits and many of The Inherent Defects of RGB: https://rawpedia.rawtherapee.com/CIECAM02 Read this and you'll get a good understanding of Lab. (Lab is not complicated) Colors can be removed and turned to grayscale. Greyscale cannot be removed, the best way is to compromise, not the all-black all-white (most conspicuous) That's why, in addition to affinity, the above 4 programs, they all use 128 medium gray. This issue has not been fixed since 2018. Thank you for your recognition and support! I hope that affinity will become better. Stay curious.

GUI Needs overhaul
Aftemplate replied to etaoin's topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop
Check: Preferences > user interface Grayscale is customizable(Gamma) Other issues waiting to be solved are clearly more pressing and difficult than UI. (E.g. missing GPU 10 times acceleration in windows. Missing GPU float high quality "stageless variable speed" rotary canvas) -
When a problem arises, if you want to solve it, you should first find the root cause of the problem. The root cause of this "L" variance is: Other programs: When "L" is hidden (removed), the entire "L" channel is set to 128. Affinity: When hiding (removing) "L", set to 0 for the entire "L" channel (this is the standard way for RGB, but not applicable to Lab) It has to be said that your answer is excellent. But like I said, I want to address the root cause, not to get around it. This is the starting point for the topic. I'm a loyal user of Lab, and if I want to bypass this difference, I don't need to ask for this topic. Now, just let's wait quietly @Andy Somerfield fix this behavior, just change the source code from 0 to 128. I only use Lab, and I don't use similar programs that don't support Lab. When this issue is resolved at the source code level, I'll make two recommendations.

@Andy Somerfield Hey! If you can respond to this, it would be very helpful. Others can't help. You the lead developer of Affinity photo, taking up a little of your time (I know you busy) Thank you so much! I hope this doesn't bother you.

This operation is damaging and irreversible. It's a far cry from nondestructive editing.
