bloody mess

Thank you, will check suggested, another question is on new desktop version I just bought , when I imported a file and changed mind and wanted to close out of program, it asked to save and i didn't want to so I clicked no but program stayed open.Had to force quit on my Mac. How do you delete a mistake of photo imported

On new desktop version I just bought , when I imported a file and changed mind and wanted to close out of program, it asked to save and i didn't want to so I clicked no but program stayed open. Had to force quit on my Mac. Trying to close out of program, normally with any other program on Mac, I click once on app, with affinity need to double click, I right click and see the pix I refer to is still running so I click quit, should not need to do that since I didn't save in first place.How I delete the photo that was imported,also nothing was done to that pix, just picked wrong photo?

Again, asked for version (1.6.10.83 )on i pad and the tutorials are for( 1.6.9) no help from forum.And on YOU TUBE tutorials are even older versions. Still a call for help
