  1. Simply put - if you have to design a vintage/stamp style logo, you're out of luck. I didn't have any doubt that AD has such tool before buying it, because it doesn't make any sense for modern software NOT to have such a mandatory tool.
  2. InkScape has it and it's free. There is no excuse for AD not to have this tool since Affinity advertise it as a complete software capable of everything.
  3. All I can say is... WOW. Since 2015 Affinity couldn't implement this tool. I'm honestly speechless. You cannot seriously say that AD is a real alternative for Adobe Illustrator. Hell, even InkScape can do a Netflix logo.
  4. How do I do this in Affinity Designer? All methods are welcome, but the closest one to Illustrator would be nice. I can't find anything on Youtube, except for Text Over Path which is not the exactly right tool here. 2019-07-08 12-08-40.mp4
  5. Is there a way to snap handle to grid or an object? 2019-07-06 09-57-37.mp4
  6. K, it's closed now, it's weird. Lol, I guess sometimes when smth doesn't work you have to try again the same thing. Thanks
  7. This is completely bias and shockingly ignorant. There is no need to "overtake" anything. If Affinity plays right, it WILL be used by many professionals. Simple.
  8. Here's a link to Youtube video so I don't have to explain in text. Why one corner can't be rounded?
  9. 1.7 is on it's way for how long now btw? I know there's Beta, but come on, we want Live version already...
  10. I would have to remember to press H when undo/redoing. This seems like a totally unneeded mechanics considering AD adopted all of the shortcuts AI had, so why introduce such awkward mechanics? If you have to use let's say Adobe XD alongsite with AD, this is just going to get in the way. It's just a weird design choice.
  11. I think the problem might be that in Affinity Designer selecting/deselecting an object counts as an action.
  12. I will try it, thanks! I explained in detail what I'm talking about. Maybe you don't use any other software so it's normal to you, I don't know. I have never experienced such issues anywhere else.
  13. What do you mean? History Panel is the same thing and I have the same issue. When I click on the background, redo is gone.
  14. So I bought Affinity Designer a few months ago. I tried it and I really liked how smooth it renders vectors and bitmaps in-project unlike Adobe illustrator. I liked many other features also. So I decided to give it a serious try and I found myself losing my work due to simple undo/redo awkwardness and because I needed to do work quick and without wanting to lose my work, I switched back to Illustrator. What I'm talking about is simple undo/redo mechanics. Let's say I need to get to a certain point back by clicking ctrl+z, then I need to look at it, and maybe redo by clicking ctrl+shift+z. In AD if I click on the background while in the middle of this, ALL undo/redo history is gone. Is this a bug or is it suppose to work this way? Solely because of this awkward thing even the idea turning AD back on now scares me.
