Similar problem with Publisher.
There is some magic involved. For example if the ICC profile or color space do not match it's turned into a TIF.
Currently I struggle with the problem that my "pixel layer" turns out as TIF everytime no matter what I do. Pretty frustrating.

After Publisher for iPad they may have time to finish their DAM...

Thank you for letting me know.
I changed my machine to a better CPU and doubled my RAM. So I can't really tell.
No crashes yet, but it was harder on my project anyway.

I may be wrong but I think there was a default autosave timer configured.

From my observations this is pretty low memory usage.
My 50 page photo book eats 16 GB.

@Jon P I did not see a changelog entry mentioning this problem and latest reports seem to suggest it still exists.
Do you know an estimate when this will be fixed? Thanks.

It is not new. During beta we found a big one that has not been confirmed as fixed in any changelog.
My pragmatic solution: I upgraded to 32 GB RAM. :-)

I use "Q" to make my selection with the selection brush. I like this mode, because I can see better what's in and out of my selection.
If I click on "Refine selection" without quitting the quick mask mode with "q", all my input is not accepted.
I can use the brush to paint and I see a short progress monitor, but it does not work.
Only if I quit the quick mask before clicking "refine selection" it works as expected.

This is still broken and now also effects the released version.
I hope the dev team did not forget about this issue.
My current workaround is so select multiple layers and use the effects studio to set the same values to all of them.
It would be nice to have one day the functions "paste fx" and the style studio working correctly.
I bought the whole suite on Publishers release and now I'm fully commitet to Affinity in my workflow.

Sometimes I need to zoom deep into a image to get the right edge for the straighten tool.
In this case the other end is not visible and I have to zoom out using ctrl key.
I think it would just be easier if leaving the canvas with the mouse would enable autoscroll the same way the selection tool starts autoscroll if you leave the canvas.

I miss this feature, too.
And the "Copy from Clipboard" is a really crappy workaround as said before, because loosing DPI (and other metadata) is not a good thing.

I hope the next thing will be a single installer for all three tools. :-)

Can you please make transparent how Serif decides who is eligable for a discount and who not?
Is it measured by reported bugs or how valuable the devs think the suggestions were?

Not wasting any more time on the 3rd test when I know there is only one piece of software with an issue.So you know graphics and memory is not an issue (= Good data point), but you leave the CPU untested.
It might interest you that prime95 can run in background while you browse. It just takes performance.

Just don't use logos or other copyrighted stuff and make clear that you are not Serif.
Than I would legally see no problems.
But as said several times before it may not be only the money. It could also not fit well into their roadmap.
I expect no Linux version anymore after reading all the discussions.

I did not stalk him. He started a posting saying that there is a big movement in Adobe forums to Affinity but provided no link. So I googled that because I thought it would be a interesting read. But I found instead other things. The quotation I made is taken from another post in this forum - please look it up.
I did not want anybody to leave the forums. All three people did that on their will.
- Dennis Nisbet first reponse after asking for a link was leaving. My fault?
- Simon Degay posted a very rude and offensive statement against developers in general (and I am also one) and I just asked him please not to go there. I was not involved in all that what came after that in the same topic. Was I? Heck, I did not even see his reponse.
- The third user wanted to post in the plus community anyway. But yes, I agree, expressing my confusion was not helpful.
So... more than a coincidende? Maybe Adobe pays me for trolling users and forcing them to go back in such a clever way. If that's my skill I should offer this service.

@FolioGraphic Maybe it's time that you show us a video of your experience and maybe you provide a sample file. I start to doubt that we have the same definition of what we consider a problem.
